When I started I would take HPF classes because I liked the set sequence and intense heat. I've shifted over time and now take mostly C2 and Sculpt, occasionally a C3. However I could take any class and enjoy it. The teachers are great and the studios are well kept and spacious. I go everyday, unless I'm sick, and it is truly apart of my wellness routine. I feel grounded and stronger after every class; I go to 6am or 7am classes during the week before work. Some may say the price is a lot, but if you go often then it's really quite affordable. Some say it can get busy or crowded..but that just means people like it. It's really what you make of it. I've learned to adapt, practicing patience and kindness. It's helped me on and on off the mat. I appreciate this space.

The heat and, more so, the humidity are out of control in SO many classes these days (at several studios, not just WL). Even though there is a clear chart posted in each studio with the temps and percentages that each class level is to be set at, it seems like each instructor just does whatever they want, unfortunately. I'm ALL for the hot yoga, that's why I go to CPY, but please keep it at the standards that we pay for. Don't set the class to 105 degrees if it's supposed to be at 98 max in a C2, please. I was in a C2 yesterday and saw the tstat said 108. That's insane. I'm paying 200 bucks a month and I want to not be distracted from my workout and my zen by the fact that either I can't breathe or am feeling like I'm dying from how hot and humid you've made it in the room. Please don't crank it up just because one person asked you to, or because you want to. I want to leave feeling like I kicked ass in the correct amount of heat, not was tortured by it and had to leave early to escape it.

When you enter, you are greeted by smiling faces, welcoming you, and offering towels, yoga mats and whatever else a yogi needs to have their best experience. The studio is beautiful, always clean, offers showers, and drinks to cool you off after class, along with a cool lavender towel, that all students get at the end of class to cover our eyes, during Savasana or just to lay over us and inhale the lovely smell of lavender. The teachers are all amazing, never just repeating words, but teaching with intention, care for thier students, and a true love for yoga. By ten minutes, I wasn't even doing Pilates anymore, I was just trying to negotiate with Jesus. Halfway through, that ball turned into my sworn enemy. I wasn't balancing on it, I was plotting its assassination. Every time it slipped, I had flashbacks to middle school dodgeball trauma. At one point, I almost launched it across the studio like a heat-seeking missile aimed at the instructor. The worst part? She didn't even break a sweat. She's smiling, playing Ariana Grande, looking like she's leading a bachelorette dance class, while I'm in the back looking like I just got jumped by IKEA furniture. By the end, I didn't feel stronger. I felt like I'd been spiritually bullied by a beach ball from hell. My dignity? Gone. My core strength? Missing in action. My soul? Filing for workers' comp. But Monica's smile at the end made it all worth it. 12/10--would sign up for the trauma again. Because apparently, I'm into emotional abuse with air-filled props. All joking aside, this place is fantastic and so are its instructors.

I didn't expect much after signing up through ClassPass but am happy to report I'm 5 classes in and still loving it. I regularly attend intense hot yoga at nearby studios, but love the focus on the art of the practice and gentleness here at Harmony Family Yoga. I really enjoyed the Gentle Yoga with SoundBath class with Cici Bo. She's a great instructor and has such a calming presence. Harmony family yoga is perfect for beginners or those far into their practice, definitely drop by!

My first time visiting was for a toddler and me class. I invited many of my daughters friends and their moms and we had a great class in the former location. One of the things I loved about Cici was her way of making yoga fun for the kids. Fast forward, my daughter is 4 and the studio is now in it's new location. I started bringing my daughter to the Little Yogis program. She loves is SOOOO much!! She has learned yoga poses AND has SO much fun with Cici and the other kids while she is there AND I sit next door and enjoy some pizza... or a call with a friend.... or both! The studio is clean, there's parking in back or in front on the street. If you are interested in getting your kids involved in yoga, this is a program I HIGHLY recommend.
