I've been an annual member of the studio through three owners, for 14 years. Hot yoga has literally saved my life. I couldn't really stand upstreet when I first got here. Every class still hurts , but I feel better in between classes. Brandon and Tyler, the current owners, are fabulous. They have upgraded the studio from the one hot room that it used to be adding two much larger rooms and lots of new types of classes (most of which are beyond my capabilities) including barre, flow, HIIT, sculpt, pilates, meditation, yin, and more. The community continues to grow. Us OG"s love the new energy. They offer lots of deals and even frequent opportunities to come try a free class to see what fits. I'm starting teacher training in a week. Time I give back. Trust me, I don't do it perfect, am struggling with injuries. It can still work and heal you. read more

Hot Pilates here, with the ball is just straight-up disrespectful. Five minutes in, my legs were shaking like I owed the mob money and the interest rate had just doubled. By ten minutes, I wasn't even doing Pilates anymore, I was just trying to negotiate with Jesus. Halfway through, that ball turned into my sworn enemy. I wasn't balancing on it, I was plotting its assassination. Every time it slipped, I had flashbacks to middle school dodgeball trauma. At one point, I almost launched it across the studio like a heat-seeking missile aimed at the instructor. The worst part? She didn't even break a sweat. She's smiling, playing Ariana Grande, looking like she's leading a bachelorette dance class, while I'm in the back looking like I just got jumped by IKEA furniture. By the end, I didn't feel stronger. I felt like I'd been spiritually bullied by a beach ball from hell. My dignity? Gone. My core strength? Missing in action. My soul? Filing for workers' comp. But Monica's smile at the end made it all worth it. 12/10--would sign up for the trauma again. Because apparently, I'm into emotional abuse with air-filled props. I really love this place... I had been coming here for amazing heated Pilates classes, such a quick but difficult workout that will leave your booty burning! A few weekends ago my honey and I went for Tyler's Sunday reset class; a combination of breath work in the gently heated classroom followed by contrast therapy in the sauna and cold plunge. My boyfriend was hooked after the first class. I love that they have so many options for classes for me while he can enjoy the wellness side of the Foundry with sauna, cold plunge, norditek boots. Barre on Sundays is amazing. People in their 20s to 60s attend. Even uncoordinated people like me give it a shot. Bring a towel for profuse sweating! I was able to do the entire routine and feel the burn. I get why dancers have amazing posture, core, and legs. It targets the back and hard-to-tone areas like the inner thighs and saddle bags. I have been going to The Foundry Thousand Oaks for about a year now. I was experiencing hip pain for about a year or so before I started attending the classes. My pain has almost gone away now that I have been able to loosen, stretch, and strengthen the joint. There is basically an option for me everyday, even with my busy work schedule. The mat pilates classes have been really great at helping my hip and building core strength. The yoga classes have helped me loosen and stretch things out. Recently I tried the Yin yoga class and found it not only relaxing but probably the loosest my back has felt in a while (I sit down a lot for work). Been doing Hot Yoga daily at this studio for over a month and I have to say the classes and teaches are all amazing. There's a real sense of community in the studio. And i love that they do challenges to encourage us to push ourselves more. There's a really love for the practice of yoga in addition to doing a hot/sweaty workout. In a month I improved my practice more than 1 year in another studio. Brandon the owner (and yoga teacher as well) is really kind and welcoming and the studio overall is always clean and neat. Tonight was my first class and I am so happy I checked this place out. I haven't found a studio that I've enjoyed since pre-COVID when the place I was going unfortunately shut down and we moved to this area. I joined Mikiko's Candlelight Yin Yoga class and it was so wonderful, I can't wait to go back. I love that they have the option to check it out for a week and get a feel for the classes before making the full commitment, but honestly after tonight I don't even feel like I need it; I can already tell that this is an atmosphere I'll be comfortable in. I tried a class here three weeks ago desperate to fix my low back pain (disc problems and pinched nerves and etc). It's been 10+ years since I did Bikram daily so I didn't know what to expect. This studio is amazing and so friendly. They have lockers you can digitally lock to put your things in, showers, and water available for you to fill up bottles. The room is pleasantly hot for hot yoga. Instructors are super friendly and caring, and the people I've met are all very welcoming toward beginners. Even better, I've cut my pain medication in half and my back pain is about 40-50% better depending on the day. This is just with three weeks of classes almost every day, so really excited to see how I feel and look in a few months. (Have lost 5 lbs already also!) If I had the time, I'd come here everyday! I like the variety of the classes, from hot sweaty 90min Bikram yoga, to express yoga, Flow, sculpting, Pilate, hot barre, and yin yoga. I get all my workout needs here. The teachers are amazing and have their unique styles which make the classes engaging and fun. I am glad to see more people in classes. The place is getting very popular. This makes it even more important that people come on time. Yoga classes are not like your regular gym classes where you come and go as you please. These are instructor led classes with movements designed in specific flow and sequence. I am empathetic when people can't attend a class due to late approval; but if you are more than 5 min late, you really should wait for the next class. If you are on the cusp, I find the teachers here quite accommodating actually. I have seen them holding the door allowing people to join the class when they were a minute or two late. I myself have been there too and I really appreciated the teachers being accommodating and considerate . Being late is really not good for anyone - you hold up / interrupt the class, you don't allow your body to warm up properly before getting into the postures, and you create a potential safety issue too since the studio should be locked when classes are in session. read more

Hello, since I joined this studio in 2012 (previously named Hot Yoga 1000), I regularly practice twice or more a week. I can speak great things about this studio: the owner's genuine care, the teachers' passion and sincerity, and the studio members' support and respect. I met brave people who attended classes after chemo therapy for detoxication and met people who came to classes to find peace from anxiety and depression. After 90 minutes of sweating and strengthening, we felt we had survived our challenges altogether. That made us be kind and support each other. Such a wonderful feeling...This studio is a unique place and provides me peace in my mind and strength in my body. I feel lucky I found this place. Although I also have another membership at a local gym, my hot yoga practice at The Foundry is always on my priority list. I read a reviewer complaining that she and her friend couldn't get in the class because they were late for the class. I was in the class (5:30 pm class, Aug/30, Friday), so I witnessed what was happening. People in the class noticed there were ladies pounding the side glass door after the class started. Everyone was already in the middle of the posture and focused on breathing. Please. check your watch, it was not only 30 sec late. At one point, the entire class couldn't focus due to the pounding door and Angela had to step out to tell them to stop the interruption. Please be mindful that the first 5 minutes of the class (especially since this class was only 60-minute class) is the most important part (setting up for the class), and it takes time to recover the focus once interrupted. Please be mindful that many people came to the class ON TIME, considering Friday's traffic jam and crowded parking lot, because they RESPECT other people in the class. This class is not a boot camp, but people come to this class for different reasons, so we respect and support each other for their best no matter it was a boot camp or a just yoga class. This class is not only about myself but also about ourselves. Angela had to argue with you for a length of time because you insisted on getting in the class late. This affects other people's practices who are already in focus. Angela stated clearly and properly. One more thing: After the class, people appreciated Angela's efforts to keep class without disruption. Thanks, Angela. You are a great teacher. read more
