They had a pretty big locker room, and it was fully equipped for women. I appreciated that so much. Now for the class, it was pretty intense, but the instructor was really sweet and didn't pressure anybody to go too hard. My biggest critique of this whole thing was how packed the class itself was. I didn't really feel like there was enough room to move around. Another thing I didn't like was how people were lined up out of the door before our class was even over they were trying to rush in and we're just kind of in the way as people were trying to exit. Overall, I'd probably return to a larger location.

They have upgraded the studio from the one hot room that it used to be adding two much larger rooms and lots of new types of classes (most of which are beyond my capabilities) including barre, flow, HIIT, sculpt, pilates, meditation, yin, and more. The lifeguards acted quickly and within seconds one was on his way out, 2 more ran in and one was on standby and then the truck came with the lights and horns. It was a relief to have the kids out of the water and safe, and the guards were so fast and efficient. I am not a good swimmer, that's why I don't even go in the ocean. I trust these lifeguards 100%!

We went during free swim time from 12-4pm and it was only $10 for ages 3 and up. There's a big shallow kiddie pool with water activities and then 2 water slides on the back side of the park. There's a rec pool that maybe goes to 4.5 ft depth so it's perfect for just enjoying the water when you can't lap swim because the pool is crowded. A large picnic table area can be found in the middle of the center too so you can being lunch and snacks too. There a larger Olympic size pool on the west end of the center that can be used for lap swimming so overall it's great for all ages and swimming levels. We're planning to be here quite a bit for the summer! There's also cabanas to change into and showers to rinse off before and after swimming.

Even superheroes love this pool!

Completely unethical and unprofessional!…read more Tarrik Daou is the executive director of the Lucile Cowle Swim School (now the Daland Swim School). This man has no conscience, no ethical compass, and does business dirty to make a profit. He is unhinged, condescending, and worships money over service, professionalism, and honesty. My child is autistic and is a Regional Center client. Lucile Cowle, also under Daland Swim School, said that they would create an account with a 3rd party payer so that they could be directly paid by the 3rd party vendor with the Lanterman Regional Center. I started communicating with Lucile Cowle Swim School on March 5, 2025. It is now July 2026 (16 months later), and I have finally been reimbursed after countless calls and emails. The only way that I was paid for adaptive swim lessons was to bypass LC completely, and Aveanna 3rd-party payers conducted a full investigation to unpack their numerous lies. Dealing with this unethical company was so traumatic and all-consuming. Aveanna had to create an internal memo to no longer deal with this company because they would often refuse to respond, say they already did without turning in the necessary paperwork, and they never responded to the Lanterman Regional Center. My Lanterman Regional Center worker constantly reached out to LC/Daland Swim School, and their statements about when they responded do not align with any of the paper trail. They have made it difficult at every turn. Read my reviews. I never posted a single negative review of a business before today. I have never posted a negative review even when the service or good wasn't great because I don't want to damage a business for having an off day. However, this took 16 months of my time, and the executive director, Tarrik Daou was so nasty, condescending, and more fearful of not covering his bases when too many outside parties (not me) came with financial questions than actually providing honest, reputable service or transparent, ethical accounting. I have a long paper trail that can back up every claim I have been as opposed to Lucile Cowle, who can't keep records or even finish setting up a business account for 8 months. This is step 1 of any financial accounting. I just can't in any good conscience recommend this awful institution or Tarrik's narcissistic personality as someone you want to deal with. Please. There are other reputable swim schools who won't lie to you. I don't call people liars easily; in fact, I literally never have before in any business review. I had to come up with a long paper trail and unravel his lies because he's such an expert gaslighter; you want to double and triple-check facts to make sure the accounting is done correctly. Please take your business elsewhere. There are swim schools that actually care about your kids, not just the money that comes with it. If your child has any special needs, please stay away. Being a special-needs parent who must advocate for your child's special needs is hard; why add to your load by constantly having to unravel one vendor's outright lies? Your time is precious, and your child can become an agile swimmer at a swim school that loves children and not just sees an opportunity to financially exploit you.

I started at the Newbury Park location and struggled through my first few classes BUT the inclusive energy and encouragement was evident and I felt so good afterward. I started with Yin Yoga which was a combo of meditation, sound bath, and holding gentle poses. I have taken basic yoga, hot Pilates, and hot yoga flow and every time I see small progress and improvement. I've branched out to the Westlake Village studio for the infrared sauna, ice bath and leg compression. I am stickler for clean and both places are extremely clean. They clean the floors after each session and I never experience strong odors. The Westlake Village studio has plenty of parking and a welcoming entrance. The studio has an open setting and a calm serene aesthetic. I really feel this place is becoming a regular self care destination. Please consider this studio if you are new to yoga and want a positive introduction to the practice. I'm still practicing the ice bath but after the infrared sauna it is so energizing and my skin is ridiculously soft. It's a great mood booster. Enjoy!

I do wish they offered more "hot" options as opposed to "warm" but I think that it's because the demographic of the area maybe doesn't prefer the hotter temps of these. The sculpt classes are a great work out! Some of the instructors will really kick your butt! I like the variety of options depending on what type of workout you're in the mood for. I do also enjoy the wet cold towels with essential oils provided at the end of class. One of things that is tough is that some classes get very full, you do have to arrive early and they have a 5 minute cut off. However, the parking situation is really tough! Not their fault but definitely a factor in arrival times. Sometimes I have to circle for 10 min or park pretty far. Lastly, the fact that there are cameras in the yoga studio is a little odd, I have to hope it's for safety? But I've been to lots of studios that don't have that so I'm not really sure why they do that. Overall would recommend, especially because it's one of the only yoga studios in Simi Valley.

The reformers are the super nice ones - not the budget fold up ones that you find at the gym. The instructors are all seasoned in the art of instructing. The owner is Chea and she suggests that you do a session of private one on one classes before jumping into the group classes. I found this to be a really good way to get acclimated to the moves and the lingo if you are just starting out with pilates. She really concentrates on you getting your form down right before you move to the group classes. The group classes themselves are small - about 5 women at most, although there is room for 10. I have been coming here for years and I love the classes! Mondays are the cardiolates class with Karen that really gets your heart pumping. Chea teaches herself on Wednesdays and it's a more mellow class than the other days. Wendy teaches in the AM and she makes you hold your poses forever which is a really great way to tone your body. I highly reccomend this place to anyone looking for a good pilates studio.

She has worked with top celebrities and is an expert at knowing what works for different body types. My body has transformed due to my working out with Chea and the other instructors at her studio. I can't recommend this studio and this form of exercise highly enough. Last but certainly not least, her pricing is amazingly reasonable. It does't get any better than this when you consider what you're getting for your money.

I could see the years of experience in her, from her tall lean posture- to the way she styled the studio. I myself am a pilates instructor with over 20 years of experience teaching private sessions in small boutique studios and physical therapy clinics throughout Los Angeles and the conejo valley. I am not a fan of the current teaching methods and the lack of investment in my field. It seeems Pilates became diluted into something for 20 year olds to get in shape instead of learning the practice of proper alignment, a whole body and mind approach to movement and a deeper connection to the body. Most importantly is to have an invested teacher who can transpose this method into effective verbal and tactile cueing so that the clients are able to execute movement to their highest potential. Arina does this. With her background in training professional athletes and dancers - you can see from her work that she is committed to helping people find their potential and to do more.
