I have been here many times - The coffee is good, but the food is a bit expensive and not worth the price. The main barista behind the counter is usually grumpy (and it's sad to expect that every time I visit). This time around, she was very rude and definitely not helpful when I asked if I could have a turkey chipotle wrap, but substitute the turkey for chicken. WORST coffee shop ever. While road tripping to Denver, Colorado my boyfriend and I made a stop here as we were desperate for some coffee and there weren't many services around let alone some good coffee. I came across this location on the gps and we decided to try it out and I really wish we would have just kept driving. Upon arrival the place seemed fine however the service was so poor. I proceeded to the register and felt pressured to order quickly even though there was no line behind my boyfriend and I. I explained to the employee who was a woman and the only one working the place that I wanted a house brew and before I could finish my sentence she immediately started to pour hot coffee into a cup without asking me what size. I told her I wanted their house brew iced and she responded by saying "you should have said that". After she poured the cold brew I asked if she could add oat milk because she didn't ask me if I wanted syrup or milk/creamer. She rolled her eyes and set down the oat milk aggressively, I felt as if I inconvenienced her by even coming in and ordering. I lastly asked if she could add three pumps of hazelnut in both coffees and at this point she had added so much ice and liquid that the cup was about to run over and she looked at me and said "YEAH AGAIN, I really wish you had said that before" but I never had the opportunity to explain my order before she rushed it and tried to be two steps ahead of me. I paid for the coffees and left. To say the least it was the worst coffee I've had in my entire life. I'm a long time coffee lover and I am always excited to try new coffee shops and this was a horrendous experience all around! The service was horrible and the coffee tasted similar to cardboard and dirt. I would never come here again and would recommend to anyone passing through this town to avoid this place at all costs. I had stopped in this morning for coffee and burrito. The coffee was burnt but i didn't want to confront the rude owner. The burrito was good but I got food poisoning and this was all I had eaten all day and was feeling fine previously. I had to drive back to Salt Lake and had to stop several times and have been sick all day. I'm hoping they look at their food handling in the future to avoid others from getting sick. read more

We stopped on our way thru town for some better coffee than what our motel had. Good coffee and kind service but not overly exuberant for our visit. Just came through a hailstorm, raining cats and dogs and hubby needed coffee and I was hungry. So we stopped. Cute place, comfy seating. Really looked forward to breakfast. Guess they only like making s bagel sandwich or wrap. I wanted a bagel with cream cheese and some scrambled eggs. Lady was very perturbed and said I had to order them a la carte. Okay. Obviously they have no stove top in this place as my eggs came in a bowl and had been microwaved!! Yuck. Bagel was lightly toasted and cold on the inside. Stopped here on our way to S Utah. Seemed cool. Easy Saturday morning. Only a couple people in the place, seemed very local as the owner sat with them and was chatting. The woman ringing up our order seemed so annoyed with us, like why were we there, giving them business? Their breakfast menu was covered up, but she had mentioned they had breakfast and rattled off what they had (still came across as bothered by our asking about food). Good came and was delicious, coffee was good and tasty. I just don't understand though-we came by for some coffee and a meal, supporting local business...is that not what your establishment is for? Glad to have made it in to this local cafe just before it closed (1pm not 2 if they aren't busy we were told). Not much else like it around and convenient to center of center. We enjoyed an iced coffee and iced latte. They were both a little bitter but may just be darker roast. They roast fresh in their facility. Nice patio out front for seating in the shade. read more

I like this place. In fancier cities, the space would be "designed.' Here is an individualistic labor of love design. They have their own coffee roasting machine. My coffee was fine, so suggest Yelpers with over roasting complaints mention it at the time. Every batch is different. They do have food, I did not do. Super friendly and quick for made from scratch. 1/2 order of French toast was perfect for the 5 year old and came with lots of butter and fresh blueberries. Eclectic coffee shop/ if you aren't headed to Moab it's the closest true cafe for 100 miles. I was happy for an alternative to a gas station or dingy diner. Decent coffee, offers hot breakfast and ice cream is available. I couldn't get the WiFi to work (even with the password); they do offer one computer station for Internet ($2 p/hr). This place is bad. They had one girl taking drink and breakfast orders. The problem is, she is also the one that makes the coffee orders. So when people keep coming in the door, the drink orders don't get made. I ordered a brewed coffee so no wait. But the coffee is weak. You could do just as well at a truck stop. My wife ordered tea but when she put cream in it it was curdled. It's like going into the twilight zone: you go in thinking oh boy, a nice local coffee roaster,but then you wait 15 minutes for your latte and another 15 for your breakfast. Just meh. Not friendly to out-of-towers at all and I suspect that's a huge part of the business here. Such a shame. The manager(?) was not friendly and was quite rude. The kitchen was closed at 9:00 am when we got there and she was clearly annoyed when we wanted to order (we only wanted coffee). We went back the next day hoping the prior day was a one-time thing and she was just having a bad day, but the next day was just as bad. Also, the toilets had lots of old and new feces splatters. I can only imagine what the kitchen looks like. Yikes! Overall it wasn't a good experience and we wouldn't recommend this place. (I'm sure she will reply to this as she does to all the others, and sadly instead of improving, she gets defensive and nothing changes.) read more

Oh, what a great find! This charming coffee shop was exactly what I hope to find on a road trip. We pulled in early hoping for breakfast and were thrilled to find eclectic and delicious food. I had the Green eggs and ham, pesto seasoned scrambled eggs with ham served on a yummy asiago cheese bun. It was so good! My man had the Egg sandwich with chorizo and bacon. Both were very tasty and plenty big to eat half for breakfast and the remainder for a late lunch. The regular coffee was very good and the fresh squeezed oj was amazing! They even had almond milk and oat milk available. For dessert I got a lemon cranberry muffin, which had a lemon cream center. I'd come back here anytime. They didn't have inside seating but plenty of outside which was fine. Glad they're still requiring masks! read more

What is up with the terrible coffee on road trips? Be sure to take the time to get to this place for fresh brews - loved the Breve - and excellent, fresh and not-too-sweet smoothies. They have lots of non-dairy options like soy, almond sand even cashew milk. Every time we come we spend 10 minutes laughing at the map of New Zealand. Stopped in Green River for the night and needed a coffee for the morning, read the reviews before I went and wow they were spot on! The lady at the front counter was very rude. I asked her how much a large iced coffee was and she very shortly said "there's a menu right there" seemed annoyed I wanted milk instead of cream because that meant she had to actually get the milk for me. She made me feel like making my drink was an inconvenience for her. Glad I never have to go this place again. 2 stats because my coffee was good and it's a cute little shop. read more

My fiancé and myself stopped in during a road trip with my service animal. When we walked in I was greeted by a dog. So I figured there was no problem about having her in there with out her vest. Keep in mind we are on a 13 hour road trip and I do not keep her gear on the whole time. The lady at the register was extremely rude and made a scene about no animals allowed. THEY HAD 2 DOGS INSIDE. The lady at the counter continued to act crazy slamming things around while making our coffee so I went out side with my SERVICE ANIMAL. I would have understood completely if they did not have 2 dogs inside and there was signage posted, but there was not. I wouldn't recommend this stop on any trip. The coffee and soggy bagel wasn't even worth arguing with ignorant people. There are plenty of other stops along the way. I would recommend that they learn the law about service animals and how to act like decent human beings. My dog had a tag on her collar. She was being held the whole time and is extremely well behaved as she was trained as a service animal. Definitely would not recommend! If there was an option for no stars i would have given that. read more

Got off the highway for food, coffee and gas. Mistakenly decided to stop here for local flavor. Lady working counter seemed very irritated. Didn't have patience that I didn't understand their routine. She comes across as being over explaining the obvious to tourists. But tourists come in tired, hungry and out of it and it's not always so obvious. It makes you a bit uncomfortable eating the food. You wonder, " how much did I just irritate this person making my food?" The place was also empty when we came in. She got busy after. It took us 17 minutes to get a breakfast burrito. This is a funky place that I decided to drop by for local color. It's not far from a school and a park. When I went in, it was mostly empty. I was able to order an almond milk mango smoothie. The smoothie was small for the price and not as thick as one would want. So I'm not a fan for the price. It really is a coffee joint and I don't drink coffee so the coffee might be better or at least worth trying. read more

Our family stopped in to get a quick bite before we hit the road. The food was good, but a little pricey for the area and the portion size. The woman behind the counter was surly and seemed to be extremely disturbed that she had to wait for us to make a decision on what to order (what can we say...we had four children from ages 7-17 with us!). The food was good. The experience was not. There was a large, heavy door propped up inside the bathroom (for decoration, I guess?) and my 7yo must have thought it was a permanent fixture. Not knowing it wasn't anchored, she leaned up against it while waiting for her older sister to finish going to the bathroom. That heavy, door fell on top of her!! Luckily she wasn't hurt. The woman there (I assume she was the proprietor) barely lifted a finger to help and didn't really say much of anything to apologize for that poor and dangerous choice of decorating. It's too bad this is one of the only coffee shops in GR... because, although the coffee & breakfast is great- the customer service is not. Every time I go in, I feel almost uninvited. I've heard others say the same... I thought it was just me. The women who work in there are just not very friendly or welcoming. They don't say "hello" no "how's your day" nothing. It's very odd. When you look around there are signs everywhere saying in all caps "don't spill your coffee or you will have to pay the cleaning fee" and "no children unattended in area". Its almost like the signs are yelling at you!! It's just a little much for a cute little coffee shop. I wish they were just a little nicer. Overall, the coffee/food is good. First of all, I must say that I understand difficulties of small business in the small town (900 population) but this place is just an embarrassment. 1)it is just dirty- seats, tables look like they come from the dirty Thrift store. Neither vintage nor cute - dirty 2) seems like locals like this place because they have an espresso machine here. Well, my latte had so much milk I couldn't drink it.
