Everything is very reasonably priced, and there is a huge selection to choose from! The staff is always very friendly and helpful.

Great selection of high quality spirits followed up with great service. Can't wait to come back to Cleveland to visit again.

Limited selection- they didn't have the whitbier yeast that I needed and the clerk told me to use an all-purpose beer yeast. I looked for the malt, hops and other ingredients- nope- they didn't have them. The clerk told me I can substitute some other hops, etc. I've made beer before, some things can be substituted, but the basic yeast and main hops can't be. They were selling 5-gallon plastic buckets for $18.99 and with $20.99 for volume-marked buckets! They had Brewer Best kits- a whitbier beer kit was marked $44, but it was dated "packaged 2022" and the another kit had the date sticker removed. The yeast expired a long time ago for those kits. Other kits (that had date labelled) went back to 2020. I'm not sure what their story is, but from reviews it seems like they may have bought a good and solid business where former people knew how to make beer and buy supplies. Now for beer and wine making there's a limited inventory (and old 2020), and marked-up prices. They may have a better beer selection, but for beer making supplies- No sales for me.

Golden Gate Beverage & Liquor is a liquor store centrally located in the plaza on Mayfield Road…read more There is plenty of plaza parking. I spotted this store while driving by and dropped in for seltzers. I didn't feel like navigating the grocery store or the gas station, visited this store instead. Selection: The store is pretty small but has a huge repertoire of beverages - wine, brandy, cordial, gin, rum, tequila, vodka, whiskey, beer, and more. There are even bitters! There's more assortment than in other local stores. You'll find everything from Slivovitz to local beer brands (like Great Lakes Brewing Company). You'll also find the trending brands such as Cutwater, Suncruiser, and others. It's an excellent place to get a fancy bottle for a gift or a pack of something for a social occasion. Prices: I found the prices to be slightly higher than other places or online. I purchased a 4-pack of seltzers for $18.35 (with 2% surcharge). It's about $5 less for the same thing at other places. The prices are not at all well advertised especially in the fridge section containing beer and seltzers. Service: Service is subpar. I asked about a particular brand and was told they only have what they have. I'm more used to other stores telling me an order can be placed or taking more interest in my order. Service is very transactional. I'm unlikely to be back unless I need a special beverage for some occasion. For simple seltzer purchases I'd rather patronage another store with lower prices. I'd recommend this store to individuals looking for a huge assortment of stronger spirits - vodka, brandy, and whiskey.

It's like a wine shop meets date spot. I've been here multiple times over the years for dates, solo evenings, and Cleveland Heights Neighborhood Beer Crawl. Wine Spot was a nice backdrop for all these days. INVENTORY: You'll find an entire long wall of various wines organized by the type of wine. You'll find Dom Perignon and wines under $35 coexisting in the same space. You'll also find beers, THC drinks, sake, and a lot more. You'll also find so much beyond wine - sardines, chocolate, and gift baskets. It's an ideal location to shop for gifts and build a basket. I don't have any particular recommendations. I usually ask staff for recommendations and gravitate toward white wines. Except during CLE Beer week I tried two different beers here - Executive Decision by the Butcher and the Brewer, Yakima Chief Forward from Fat Heads Brewery. AMBIANCE: Market vibes with tables and bar available for guests. The ambiance is nice, casual, quiet enough for a date. There is a lot of space for groups including a private room. SERVICE: Service is pretty friendly but tends to be slower. What I love about here is that they can chill wine bottles upon purchase. You can immediately go home with a chilled bottle of wine and get into your evening. Aside from this reason, there are plenty to do at the winery - events, monthly wine club, and more. Long story short, visit!

Now, I know what I was missing and will be back for more visits. My daughter and I enjoyed a charcuterie board and each had a glass of wine: Vermentino for me, orange wine for my daughter.
