My wife called Green Valley Garage Doors to replace a broken torsion spring. A serviceman arrived and tried to talk her into purchasing a new door instead of repairing it. We were charged $69 for their "free " estimate (refer to their web page). Then we never received an estimate or a call back of any kind. We feel that we were totally ripped off. read more

A little disappointed with my last service. I used them before a few years back and was very impressed (reason I called again). I asked for a preventive maintenance check and inspection. Upon the techs completion, I asked if he checked both doors for proper closing settings. He said yes. The following day, just out of curiosity, I tested both doors to confirm that they would stop if hitting an obstruction such as a car or person. Per the GDO manual, if adjusted properly, you should be able to grab the door as it closes and it should then stop and retract back to open position. Guess what - I didn't have a prayer grabbing it and trying to get it to stop on the closing cycle. I had to just let it totally close. Tried the other door - same thing. Pulled out the manual and it was a very simple screw adjustment on the GDO - didn't even need a ladder. After a few open and closing cycles, I had it dialed in perfectly. I could grab the door with one hand and it would easily stop and retract back to an open position. Without the adjustment, if either door had closed on a car or other obstruction, there would have been some damage. Also, both garage doors were hitting hard on the garage floor on the closing cycle. Again, a simple adjustment on the GDO with a screw driver and both now stop as they should (very soft and quite). To me, this is something I believe the Tech should have performed. Maybe five minutes max for both doors (identical GDO's). The service I called for was a maintenance inspection and check. Pretty sure I didn't get that. As much as I was impressed with my first visit from Green Valley Garage Door, I'll now be asking around for other recommendations read more

Called and got an appointment for the next day. Mark arrived well within the time slot I was given when I called, and had our door fixed in less than an hour. This was a replacement of a Torquemaster spring system with the more standard torsion spring, which fixed the broken spring and updated the mechanism. I needed my garage door repaired over a weekend. I live in a small community (Rio Rico, AZ) and this type of service is not readily available in the area. I called several Garage Door service companies in nearby Tucson and only one would come to Rio Rico and service my garage door. BUT, that would be later in the week, a Thursday. I could not wait six days. I called Green Valley Garage Door repair and made an appointment for the following day, a Saturday. After ordering and having a garage door opener installed, two days later we noticed a problem. The belt-drive track was pulling away from the wall and the spring assembly was sagging. A service tech was immediately sent out to repair, but requested a $40 fee for the service call and hardware (a 12inch piece of 2x8). If the installation was done right the first time, there would have been no need for a second repair call. Unforeseen circumstances or accidents in installation can be expected and should be taken care of without cost to the customer. That's good customer service! I've had three service calls with Green Valley Garage Doors during the past 3 years. They consistently answer their phones and send out service technicans. Several years ago, they replaced the spring and then my entire garage door. At that time I wasn't impressed. The technician they sent out offered to do the replacement spring work "off the books" at a lower price. This didn't inspire confidence. I've since learned that he has left to work elsewhere. If I had rated them then, I would have given them two stars. Over the Christmas holidays, my garage door stopped working. After looking around for other options in Green Valley, I decided to try them again. The person whom they sent out diagnosed the problem within two minutes as a burn't out capacitor. He fixed the issue immediately and then proceeded to give my garage door a tune up. He lubed it, adjusted the tracks, the spring tension, and a few other things. The door is VERY quiet now. It was noisy before even though I lubed it regularly. The bill for the capacitor replacement and the tune up was $95. A few days later, there were a couple of hard freezes. The garage door stopped raising (unless you did it manually). I called and they sent out a technician who adjusted the strength the motor uses to pull the door up. He also made a few adjustments to the track. I'm very happy with the latest experience. Yes they had an issue but they fixed it very quickly. I'm giving them 4 stars because I'm averaging the latest experience with the first experience. (2 stars + 5 stars / 2 visits =3.5 stars which rounds to 4 stars). read more

We bought our GV property in 2016 and called to get garage doors on the new place. GV Garage Doors came out gave us the bid, my husband agreed and they sent a person over to prepare the garage open. The company recommended this local guy to get our garage ready for the door. Costing 1,600.00 to secure the wood to the brick frame and 3 hours to do it. Amazed that was the cost. Then 4 months later, no garage doors. We called many times. Seems during the summer GV Garage Doors whole company take vacations, needed to reorder the doors, all kinds of problems caused delayed. I finally called another company, poof, we have garage doors. They couldn't believe my husband paid 1600.00 for just the set up which they had to make changes to get their doors to work right. September 2, 2019 - I had my garage door service because I was having trouble opening and closing them with remote. I called and I didn't think they would be open on Labor Day, but they were. the service guy came and fixed it by replacing the mother board and he reprogramed the remotes. I payed the service but, what is eating me up is he asked to give him $10.00 cash (something to do with the remote), I didn't understand the CASH and it not be included in the service bill.
