After meeting with 8 of the areas tree removal companies, I could tell right away that Todd was someone who was going to do exactly what he said he said he was going to do. Which is not a feeling I got from most of the other tree removal companies we met with. I don't know about you, but that is very important to me for a job & a cost of this size. Todd promptly returned my calls, spent over an hour with us discussing the scope of work, and provided me a competitive rate. Our job required a large crane to be placed on our property. Todd's professional crew used large crane mats to limit the effects on the lawn, which was a fear of mine, but it looks much better than I expected after they finished. The job took a day and a half from start to finish. They started on time and worked efficiently and safely. They cleaned up all of the brush & logs, swept up all of the debris and fully cleaned our property and street as it looked before they arrived. We chose to not have the stumps removed at this time. Something we did not think about was the effects on the wildlife that used these trees. One tree contained a squirrel nest with 2 baby squirrels in it. The crew handled them gently and took the time to bring them to a local rescue center to rehome them back into the wild. Todd's entire staff was friendly and professional. There were no surprises along the way and everything was done exactly as they said it would be done. We're especially thankful he did--because when the Dig Safe team arrived to mark the area, one of them smelled gas. She immediately contacted Liberty Utilities, and when they came to inspect, they discovered a leak in our furnace, which had been installed just three years ago. Liberty Utilities promptly shut off the gas, and we had a plumber come in to make the necessary repairs. Thankfully, everything was fixed and the gas was safely turned back on within four days. The tank started to fall so he jumped off after being told to get down. They left in a hurry and did not tell me that they left my tank leaning against my house. Refused to come back other than some of the brush that they left. Instead of like I was in the wrong for catching them. They left a half cut tree in my yard. There's plenty of room on the client's property where the logs could go, but they chose not to for some reason. I found the logs there yesterday, and they're still there in the late afternoon today, with a Dubois Tree Service sign nearby. It's almost the end of the work day, and they're still there, no work crew or anything, so they'll probably be there tomorrow. God forbid someone with a cane or a wheelchair have to use the sidewalk. They have to know it's illegal block a public sidewalk and create a road hazard. They just don't care.

HOWEVER, when I later contacted them, looking for an estimate and questions about their services in coordination with their connection to Burl Land Clearing, I spoke to Karen, who was rather short with me, seemingly in a hurry to end my call; she said that Mark, would explain everything when he comes for the assessment and estimate. Mark (a very personable/likeable person) came on June 11, walked the property with my husband, then talked with us both about what we wanted and what his company could do. He did not give us any written document of the estimate at that time, I received a roughly hand-drawn diagram and estimate by email the following day. It was not as complete, nor detailed as my husband and I were expecting, nor hoping. My husband has multiple times suggested that we start again but was repeatedly told, no, they'll fix it. It is now July 16 and we are going to run out of time (season wise) soon. And I expect, at this point in the season, I would have difficulty finding another company with any availability. I am so disappointed as I wanted to look for a landscaper service to pretty-up my property after the trees were removed and now that needs further delay.
