We had Rainmaker install our system 2 years ago and have been very satisfied with their watering system for the grass. Dan came out today for the seasonal service and was awesome. He answered all our questions, reviewed how to use the app and showed us how to add additional sprinklers for our raised garden beds. Hired rainmaker nh based on positive reviews Very disappointed with David and his crew. I put together 3 homes in my area that wanted irrigation systems pumped from the lake David's crew showed up my house, made a mess of my lawn and couldn't get the pump to work correctly. David told me he would come back that week so I paid him a check made out to him personally and not the company and he has ghosted me since. That was 3 weeks ago. Most of the reviews talk about what a professional he is but I have not met that Dave as of yet. Scam artist who only wants your money. If you want a cheap system installed, these guys will get it done. If you're looking for a company that will explain issues, explain the system, and show you how to use it, look elsewhere. The first issue was when I arrived home at lunch to find my yard dug up and part of my leach field lying on the grass. No one ever contacted me to let me know something went wrong so this was my first suprise. I went back to work and returned home either end of day or next day to find the owner looking over the damaged leach field. I went up and asked if he had a few minutes for questions and he said sure but that he had to return to work. I thought he was at work since he owns the company, but then realized he had a Wal-Mart badge on his shirt? That part might explain all the miscommunication between him and his team. The leach field was eventually fixed, and when I asked if I could get some type of a refund for the damage, he let me know that I should be thankful he fixed it since it was my responsibility to stake out where exactly each of the leach field drains were positioned (it's in a full page of fine print on the back of the estimate, that I didn't know was there. Would've been cool to mention it to me but I took the estimate and filed it, never examining the back side. We'll call that my bad.) Surprise 2. Oh he also said I should be thankful since he never collected a deposit (I didn't ask for that, and I paid the full bill as soon as due). This wasn't really a benefit to me but he thought it was. I later asked if they could show me how to remove the backflow valve (again, didn't know where it was located, what it looked like, etc. I'm not a sprinkler guy), he said sure they'd let me know when someone was coming by to remove it. I got home from work the next day to find the valve hanging from my doorknob in a bag. Awesome, thanks again guys. That was suprise #3. At some point I mentioned the lock on the control panel was not working, and the owner later emailed me to simply state it was working fine as he stopped by to check. I tried the lock again, and with slight pressure was able to pop the lock on the panel. I emailed him again to reiterate it wasn't working, and he let me know at this point that it's not meant to resist any kind of force, it's really just to prevent the door from opening on its own. That's fair, it just would've been helpful to know that before. I wouldn't have made him come back to look at it but this guy doesn't really explain much. He's got to get back to his part-time job. Because they installed the system a week before it snowed, I never even knew if the system worked until the Spring when they came back to turn the system on. A tech came by (awesome guy, real friendly, forget his name), and showed me how to adjust all the sprinklers and helped me set up the wireless app to control the zones. A week or so later I noticed I was getting error messages on zones 6 and 7 stating they weren't functioning correctly, but the app also stated the zones had successfully run for 20 minutes at each of the scheduled times. I contacted Rainmaker to ask what the issue could be, and they said they thought I only had 5 zones. I let them know I wasn't sure (I didn't install the system), and sent a screenshot of the app. They said a Tech would have to come to the house, and I said sure, anytime was fine since I was going to be out of town (Europe actually, it was fun). Emailed them twice to indicate I'd be away. I eventually received an emailed invoice of $85 for the service call. The tech had confirmed that my system only had 5 zones, and a comment on the invoice stated "tried reaching out got no answer." Not sure why that was on the bill but seems they charged me because I wasn't able to answer? I emailed to reiterate I was out of town and had let them know twice that I'd be away. I never heard back to the two emails letting them know I was away, nor the follow up after the bill stating their Tech helped me set up the app, so I was confused why I was getting billed. I didn't hear anything else so thought it was forgotten, until they started mailing invoices with $20 late fees every month (mind you I had pre-paid to have the system closed this Fall, which was the same amount as the service call). If they were any good at communicating we could have arranged for them to keep that for the service call and I'd pick a better company to work with going forward. I forget where I left off for the number of surprises but you get the point. Pick someone that's focused on irrigation and not other part-time jobs. read more

Not sure about the 1st post here! I'm thoroughly impressed. I do not, nor have I ever worked for Rainmaker. I Hired Rainmaker in Fall of 2017. Was very pleased in the overall system. From start to finish, was one of the most professional quotes we received. White glove installation. Group that installed the system was super organized and we had a considerable amount of rock in our yard. Every tech on our property was professional, uniformed and had a specific job and task to do. I fully expected the crew to be here two days. It was a full 8yrs and they started, finished, tuned/tweaked and trained me all in one day. 100+ head-19 zones system with garden pop up heads. They will be here in a few weeks to open my lawn irrigation system. Can't wait to see the results of another great lawn year! Thanks! /Marc read more

Rainmaker provides great service, staff is very knowledgeable, professional, and very customer focused and friendly. I had an issue with my Irrigation control unit today. I called them in the am and they were here late afternoon, they fixed unit within 15 minutes, tested the whole system, fully explained the issue . This was a very positive experience. Called them several times during the fall to ask if they would winterize system. Assured me they would call when they did my town. Never called me and then when I called them the final time they said they were closed for the season and wanted to charge me almost double. They screwed up and blamed me. We've used Rainmaker for a few years now. Initially they were great but this past season was a waste of time. We pre-paid for opening and closing, a mistake we won't make again as it seems there's no incentive for them to do the job in a timely manner. Opening was scheduled very late after everyone else in our neighborhood had their systems up and running. When the tech finally arrived to open it he couldn't get it to work and stated "I'm not a pump guy" and said he would let the office know. I had to find another vendor who fixed the pump (and blamed the problem on a poor closing the previous fall) and when I called Rainmaker to have them come out and open the system, they gave me a date that was 3 weeks later. At that point, my lawn would have been toast since it would be mid-June. So I hired a new vendor and asked Rainmaker 3 times over the next two months for a refund for the opening. I finally received a partial refund which was made out to my wife with her first name misspelled. When closing time came around, I used the new vendor who came out a full two weeks before Rainmaker had me scheduled. I contacted Rainmaker saying I wouldn't need their services and I would like a refund for the remainder of my pre-payment. Then for reasons I don't fully understand, they called my wife to tell her we were scheduled for closing the following week. She told them we found someone else and requested a refund. I had to ask myself for the refund multiple times since and still no reply to emails or phone messages. So we are out about $80 which isn't the end of the world but at least I've found a vendor I can count on for next year. read more

The best months in the spring to plant and water the grass are April and May. Rainmaker found the time to cash my check in March but as of May 20th have not had the time to turn on my irrigation. I called them a few weeks ago to express my concern and I was told that I was fortunate rain was in the forecast. I will not be using them in the future. read more

There is a saying "Dan is the MAN." That is just how I feel. Dan Skibicki has been out here now 3 times and has saved the day on numerous occasions. From some of the scariest moments to the general adjustments, installing or replacing heads. He does It all. He is timely, informative and patient with his explanations and his experience, expertise and meticulous attention to detail is definitely some of what separates him. He is truly a keeper. I have had the worst of luck in the past with irrigation companies but Dan makes It RIGHT. So much so that I recommended him to someone in my complex. That's the right way to do business. We have been looking for a company to service our sprinkler system on a regular basis for over a year. Called Rainmaker in Hooksett, NH and they had a guy out within a week. Dan Skibicki, service tech, was without a doubt one of the best service guys I've had at my home, in any field. He was knowledgeable,polite, understanding. Unprofessional driver or owner! Trailer had only one brake light. Can't keep equipment running properly how can they fix anything? Did not know how or decided not to use directional. Stopped in the middle of the road and waved me around. Gave me the finger as I passed. Act as though no one else has to work or get to work. Ignorant! read more

Not impressed!!! They fixed a broken pipe and left a splice at a bad angle and it blew apart in a couple weeks.(Previous home owner had done before I purchased the home) He said he used them.I fixed the problem myself. I later called them to possibly add a zone and fix a valve . Valve was replaced and the assessment was that I couldn't add a zone. They knicked the pipe while digging it up at the part to add a zone. After burying it, found a huge water leak days later. The same also for the new valve they put in, the connection is leaking. Oh I forgot to add that they said they would be here at 8-9 am, they showed up at 4 pm. Bad work the first and second time. They are too busy to fix the valve immediately so they will be here in 2 weeks. This WILL BE the last time they come here! Unless they screw that up too!!! Avoid this lackluster company. They should be called PAINMAKER!!! read more
