This company is super helpful! I was having trouble (and had broken a few tools) trying to replace my sprinkler system risers. They sent someone the next day and not only did he fix the risers, he checked the system, replaced a few sprinkler heads and showed me how to program the system (new home owner). I just want to say I think Selvin is the best landscape person we have ever had! He is polite, friendly and always on time. We have him come once a week for 10 hours a day and he does anything we want him to. He is also very good at doing things on his own without being asked. My yard had a bad case of the Spring growth spurt that I had been planning to deal with. Problem was I knew it would stretch over several weeks due to the limited amount of green material I could put in my can. So, I jumped here on Yelp and looked up "yard care" in my area and came up with Green World Landscape. Their reviews looked good and they gave a free estimate. So, I started communicating with Selvin to set up a time for him to come by and look at what had to be done. We set the next Tuesday for the meet. He was prompt, polite, and offered a few suggestions on cleaning up the overgrowth. He gave me a quote that included hauling away all the trimmings, and we set a date for today (Mother's Day). They were here promptly at 8am, though I never knew it. When I got the paper, I noticed several shrubs and rose bushes had been trimmed already - by hand with no electric trimmers or anything! It took them about 4 hours to totally turn the yard around into a beautiful thing. They even removed these two small sucker bushes growing out of a pyracantha by the house. Selvin listened to my vision, and came up with plans to incorporate plants and ground covering materials to stay within budget. I had recently become responsible for a home that had not been adequately maintained in over ten years. The front and back yards were extremely over grown to the point that it was just difficult to walk around the property. All the trees and shrubs were in desperate need of maintenance and weeds had taken over the property. Selvin Alvarado and his crew were able to get the whole yard into shape in just two days of work. When I first met Selvin I mentioned to him that because the previous people that were responsible for the home had not maintained the property, the City Code Enforcement Officer had levied fines against the property and that I needed to get everything taken care of quickly as possible. To avoid additional fines Selvin and his crew were able to actually come out earlier than scheduled and get the yard cleaned up. Selvian has been taking care of our yard for several years and we can always count on his work being impeccable and him being there on the day he says he will. This is a blessing for us since we moved from the Bay Area 2 years ago. That is now our rental home and he still gives the property the very same attention that he did when we lived there. Our tenants tell us what an amazing treat it is to know the landscaping is always so meticulous and beautiful. Even our neighbors were so impressed that they are now his customers. The most impressive part is his generous spirit. Our house had a tendency to flood (when there is lots of rain) so we installed a french drain. Because we now live nearly 200 miles away, he will ALWAYS go by the house and checks to make sure the pump is working, turn off sprinklers or do what is necessary to keep our property safe.
