Grass patch, retaining wall, with small deck and path
    Bobbie M.

Oscar, Victor and team, did a great job helping us finalize our backyard plans and brining the vision to life. Their suggestions and knowledge were invaluable in creating a beautiful end product. The team levelled out the yard, installed a small retaining wall, grass, irrigation, a small deck, and a stone walkway that worked perfectly within our space. Communication was great throughout the process and they were able to adjust work schedules to fit around the weather.

Oscar and his team did a phenomenal job with our front yard... it's absolutely beautiful! We cannot recommend his and his team enough! Oscar met with us early on to hear what we had in mind for the project and gave us great recommendations (how to stop the hillside erosion, how to creatively add boulders, which mulch to use, etc). He made us feel comfortable with the project and even offered options to help lower the project budget into our preferred range (which was refreshing for a business!). His team started quickly and finished quickly, but never sacrificed the quality of the work. His crew (shoutout to Chris!) were amazing at their craft and incredibly nice people too. Muneer picked out all the plants after listening to our ideas, getting a sense of our home decor/style, and checking out all our outside spaces. He nailed it! His vision was spot on and the final design was way better than anything that we had envisioned ourselves. The team also laid gopher wire, jute netting, mulch, and installed a full drip/irrigation system Oscar and his team also fixed a separate drainage problem we had on a different part of our house, which included cutting through concrete steps and re-piping the drainage/gutters; they repaired everything and re-poured the concrete steps as if nothing had ever happened. Again, they are amazing at their craft. Oscar stands behind his work, offering to come by and adjust the drip system if any plants are getting enough water or replacing plants that aren't doing well (within reason we're sure, but it's nice that he offered it up!). We will use Oscar and his team for all landscaping work that we need to do in the future. 5 stars all the way!!

I had a large section of my yard that was just dirt after I had an above ground pool removed. I told Oscar I wanted a park like setting and would love to attract butterflies and hummingbirds. He had his plant specialist come out and he did a wonderful job picking out the plants. Everyone who worked on my yard was amazing. This yard far exceeded my expectations. They also put in a new sprinkler timer and a drip system. I highly recommend them!

You won't regret working with this team. They're amazing. Fast, courtous, insightful, respectful, and really good at what they do. We got a recommendation from a friend who used Oscar and his team for a project last year after seeing the work they did on their yard. We had them do a bunch of things: level our yard, replace the irigation, redo a fence, put in a french drain, re-tier our yard, replace planter beds, put down flagstone, and handle a rogue morning glory pit. They did all of that in less than 3 weeks. They also really know how and when to scale their team up or down. When they were replacing the back fenceline (and putting in a french drain) they brought about 10 people and did it in 2 days. We've worked with contractors who, no matter how much work they do, never change the team size. We're so happy with the results and are excited to enjoy our new backyard this summer. Thanks Oscar, Muneer, Victor, Alex, and everyone else who made it possible.

We had an absolutely amazing time working with Oscar and his crew at Intuitive Landscaping. Starting with a blank slate (I.E. mud pit of a backyard), Oscar met with us to discuss our ideas/goals and give his professional insights and suggestions that really brought the vision of our backyard's potential to the next level. From start to finish, Oscar and team were super communicative and completed the project at a surprisingly quick clip. In the end they removed a bunch of excess dirt, leveled a paver patio area with retaining wall, added a French drain to protect our back office foundation, created a beautiful custom built bench/planter along the retaining wall, built a raised mulched play area for our new play structure (and built the structure), re-built the fence along one side of the yard, created a storage area behind our back office and built the storage structure we had purchased, set up and irrigation system, picked out and planted all plants for the yard, and added lighting. The transformation is WAY beyond our expectations and we are thrilled with the outcome! I would highly recommend Intuitive Landscaping to anyone looking for a professional team to take their space to the next level! Now we are just counting down until we can tackle the front yard with them...

Oscar and his crew did an incredible job helping us plan and execute a landscaping project in our backyard. This included new pavers, landscaping, artificial turf and a hot tub. Oscar planned and coordinated everything like a true pro, including electrical, plant selection, and lighting. His crew were incredibly efficient and professional. His input on design options along the way were instrumental in making for a result we're already loving. He stayed on time and budget throughout. I wouldn't hesitate to hire him again.

Working with Oscar and the crew at Intuitive Landscape gave my fiancé and I a lot of confidence during our 7-day backyard project because not only were they reliable, communicative, clean, and on-time every day, but they were respectful of the vision we had for our backyard and offered guidance on how to phase out the build. We did excavation, yard removal, leveling, pavers, retaining wall, and drip irrigation. From a cost perspective, they were somewhere in the middle (we got 3 different contractor quotes) so while definitely not cheap--they weren't that expensive either. A benefit of working with Oscar is his excellent communication and A+ service that will make you feel comforted through out the entire process. We can't thank Oscar enough and look forward to working with them again in the future!

Oscar and his team at Intuitive Landscaping are true professionals, going above and beyond, completing the work on time and within budget. They are easy to communicate with and responsive to request and feedback. We are extremely happy with the project the Lu completed for us and will not only use them again for future projects, but we are happy to recommend them to friends and neighbors.

Our experience working with Oscar and the guys at Intuitive Landscaping was simply THE BEST. Some contractors are good (but expensive), some contractors are a nightmare to communicate and work with - Oscar was neither. The process was enjoyable, the project was good value, and my wife and I are thrilled with the final results. Oscar's team remodeled our back yard, which hadn't been kept up in many many years. They added a French drain along the back and side of the house to help protect our foundation, built a patio, leveled a grass tier, built a beautiful dry stacked rock wall to retain the top level for gardening, and planted the fruit trees and California native plants we selected. Oscar's crew went above and beyond with some pro-bono extras to make our yard nicer and more functional, like adding more retaining walls we didn't know we needed and re-mulching and cleaning up our front yard too. What we liked most about working with Oscar was his communication style and honesty. We felt like we were truly working together to collaboratively shape the vision for our space. He gave us options to choose from, shared his expertise, and was flexible throughout the project. His crew was hard working, paid attention to detail, and was easy to communicate with when they had a question or idea to run by us. We're thrilled with the outcome of this first phase of our project (we still need to remove an old carport and finish the last corner of the yard) and can't thank Oscar and his team enough for their hard work. I'd wholeheartedly recommend Intuitive Landscape to anyone looking for a professional (yet fairly priced) team to up-level your yard. (I'll update photos when the final phase is complete and polished up)

Oscar, Victor, and the rest of the crew at Intuitive landscaping did an incredible job! Oscar collaborated with us to come up with an amazing design that saved us a lot of money vs hiring a landscape designer. Oscar has also been very responsive with any questions I have and offers follow up care for the landscaping. Super happy with the final product and will absolutely use Intuitive Landscaping for any future landscaping projects!

We couldn't be happier with our landscaping project. Oscar and his team had creative ideas, communicated well, were flexible and extremely careful. Muneer has a great eye for color and plant design and the crew executed the project flawlessly. We recommend Intuitive Landscaping without reservation.

Backyard upgrade - flagstone walkway + sod
    Drue B.

I can't say enough about Oscar and his team - they truly upgraded our home and lifestyle. Before, our backyard had a junky cinder block raised bed and an expanse of random rocks, weeds, mulch/mud, and other inherited hazards to dogs/children. We found Intuitive on Yelp and got an easy estimate and hit the ground running on planning. Oscar was so personable and met us at the flagstone supply to discuss options - he really gave us great foundational advice and then let us have creative direction on the project. And his team was ready to hit the ground running ASAP!!! He had enough guys together that the entire project was done in one day. They were very sensitive to our needs and even moved some of the few existing plants we wanted to keep to a new garden strip along the left side. It's now one year later and the garden is flourishing, the grass is amazing for our son and two dogs, and the flagstones are very solid - matching our house and really adding value to the backyard. Living in CA in a somewhat small house, having a livable outdoor space is like adding another room to the house or some serious square footage! Our backyard even attracts neighbors and their kids since we've got so much nice space out there now. THANK YOU Oscar and Intuitive - you really changed our lives and did it in a very cost efficient way - the quality still shows through and we've recommended you to all our friends and neighbors for their future projects. We'll be in touch soon when we want some upgrades like a shade sail, new side deck, etc!

But Lara and the crew were able to meet these challenges head on, and found ways to optimize time so we were not bogged down with extra spend. We completely overhauled our back yard, from an overgrown mess to a yard we could be proud of, and most importantly, safe for our kids. Lara was great in understanding we had kids, and she helped in choosing materials that would work well to reduce or eliminate chemicals or difficult/sharp surfaces. Same goes for plant selection, equally good for our kids and dog so nothing with poisons, and lots of fun edibles for the kids to easily pick off an eat. They had a near perfect rating and were praised by pleased clients. After contacting Juan, he came over almost immediately to provide a quote. I wanted to update my high maintenance, overgrown front yard with low maintenance, drought tolerant plants and pavers. Juan listened to my ideas and provided his own useful knowledge. They were the right group for the job! Shortly afterwards, I also met Michael, the Project Manager. He and Juan manage several work teams that we got to see in action over the next several months. Workers were here religiously 5-6 days a week; usually starting around 9am and working usually until after 5pm in good weather and bad. The teams work incredibly hard and are extremely skilled in all facets of yard construction. Any concerns or glitches were met by almost immediate response by JV, whether or not the request came during the course of the work day. I was extremely impressed when Michael came by late one evening during pouring rain to clear water backing up onto the street and sidewalk due to equipment left at the curb. Near the completion of my front yard, I started to talk with Juan and Michael about completing the backyard and sides as well. They continued the pavers from the front with a backyard patio and paths on the sides. My old redwood deck was replaced with a composite deck and wood pergola, artificial grass, maintenance shed and complete lighting. Roxanne, their plant specialist, listened to my plant suggestions and designed a yard full of interesting plants to meet my requirements. Even though the job is now complete, JV wants to make sure customers remain satisfied. Many of my new plants were planted during the winter, and as I live in a frost zone, I was unsure of what would survive the winter. I'm pleased to say that only one type of flower planted in the front yard appears to be struggling, but Michael has already said they would be replaced if they didn't survive until spring. It's that type of customer follow through that makes JV Gardening amongst the best in their field. Now that my whole job is complete, I'm very happy that I used JV for the job. I truly think I made the best decision by hiring them!

This was a technically challenging project involving a steep hill and very mature redwood roots. Standout qualities of this company are: 1. Ease of quoting process Before coming out in person, they were able to give us a ballpark price based on dimensions, fence type, and site images. This allowed me to decide whether to move forward and I thought this was really respectful of my time. Then, Dago, the owner, came for the site visit and to discuss details. 2. No bait and switch In ironing out the details, there was some miscommunication about whether staining was included. Dago was able to meet us halfway with the price increase. This honest business style continued throughout the project and no change orders or unexpected price increases happened. 3. Detail oriented Throughout the project, we discussed details such as fence posts placement relative to tree roots, post height, etc. Dago was both available in person and by email via his assistant Maria. It was also nice to have responses confirmed in writing so that things were clear and there would be no bait and switch. 4. Personality Dago is a really nice person and I enjoy speaking with his about his geriatric dogs, etc. This also helped me not feel anxious about the project, because I felt that I could trust him. For this fence, we received multiple quotes. Two companies were in the $9-10K range, another was around $12K, and an outlier was above $20K. Dago's price was the lowest quote (with minute differences in material) and we are very glad we went with him!

Their labor and craftsmanship were good. However, the way this business operates is extremely concerning. Even though the scope was clearly defined both verbally and in writing, the owner later tried to change the terms of the estimate, claiming parts of the agreed-upon work were "mistakenly included." Throughout the process, there were multiple "gotcha" moments, surprise clarifications, shifting explanations, and attempts to downplay what was originally promised. Despite the written estimate explicitly listing a "mulch + small brick installation (combined)", the brick installation was never completed. When I followed up, they claimed it had been a "mistake" in the estimate and refused to honor that part of the agreement. Communication became defensive, taunting, and unprofessional, and rather than resolve the situation collaboratively, the owner sent a $300 refund before we had even reached an agreement, then canceled my ongoing maintenance service altogether. It's disappointing, because the work quality itself was solid. But their business ethics and communication practices are sketchy. They seem more focused on short-term profit than building long-term relationships or standing by their written commitments. They told me the brick feature would enhance the look of my garden. I guess I'll never find out. If you decide to hire them, make sure every detail is documented and signed. Otherwise, expect last-minute changes and confusion about what you actually paid for.

This method seemed to work mostly, although we had to tell the crew each visit what to do, as mostly instructions had been partially communicated. One day, she sent two new people. We told them to trim two bushes on the stairwell and to pick up the leaves, nothing else. This was also communicated to Tamara a few days prior, but like most times, the crew seemed clueless as to what to do. When they were done and had left, we discovered that they had BUTCHERED our garden - most of five++ years of growth was cut away and in a most unappealing fashion. Her crew ripped out plants that a previous crew had installed only a month prior, had trimmed four bushes that were covering an unsightly wall into lollipop shapes, completely exposing the wall, trimmed new growth off of once per season budding plants without any care for shape or aesthetics, butchered slow growing manzanita plants that may never recover, etc etc etc. We were appalled and contacted her. Tamara responded to our concerns, but would not or could not take personal or financial responsibility for making us whole. She told us that the crew she sent was inexperienced and had never worked on a personal, mature garden (only on storage facilities and office complexes), and that she did not have the $$ to replace the plants destroyed or to pay for someone else to replace the plants (as we told her that we could not work with her anymore). We thought about going to the CSLB so that we could at least recover her bond, but did the time/money calculus and finally settled on her paying for two plants to be replaced, at another landscaper's wholesale cost (approx $500). So far, it has cost us over $10000 to get the garden back to where it was, and it will take a few years for it to look as good as it did prior to November 2025. We tried to support this independent, woman-owned business; but her model of a different crew every time coupled with an inability to run her business in a fiscally responsible manner makes it impossible for us to recommend her to ANYONE
