I love the staff here. Everyone is so sweet and caring. You can tell they love the animals and their humans. I recently had to make the choice to put my senior dog to sleep and they were so understanding, caring, compassionate and took such good care of us. My sweet girl was loved on the entire time we were there. when I received her ashes the staff was so sympathetic and the sweet condolence card really showed their compassion. And the vet (I don't remember which one it was) was literally the kindest. 10/10 recommend this office. read more

Our dog Sandy had a problem with her foot. We tried to deal with it the best we could but she wasn't getting better. She's an older dog and hasn't been to the vet often so we had reservations about taking her anywhere. They were great! They really do care for animals! Just absolutely the best experience. Couldn't get in with vet I had gone to for 29+ years luckily and thankfully I was able to get my sick dog in with Dr John and his wonderful staff. We love Greenbrier Springfield Animal Clinic. Dr. Justice is the veterinarian for our puppy Albert. When he became deathly ill they acted quickly and literally saved his life. Dr. Wentz also saw him and he is wonderful as well. Morgan the tech is fantastic. We are forever indebted to them for saving our baby. We will always trust our animals to their care! read more

I'm so disappointed. This morning I called with an urgent need to have my dog seen. They said no. I've been going to Greenbrier-Springfield Animal Hospital for 28 yrs. Dr Woods left and it is not the same. I work in health care and understand scheduling but if a long time customer calls about her dog having an urgent need, you see them. I called the other local vet. They do the grooming for my pup. I told them what was going on and they said bring her now. I have 9 pets and needless to say we will now all be patients at Robertson County Animal Hospital. I had moved two new kittens there recently and this was the last chance. Like I said. I have been a customer for decades. This place used to be the best of the best and I loved it but of late, it is not good and I dread going there or speaking with anyone there. Dr. Wood is never around anymore and the young girl techs are disrespectful. Their prices have skyrocketed and there is always an unexpected charge or costs not disclosed up front and you say 'yes' then drop to the floor when you check out. Their refusal to approve RX through Chew.com forcing me to buy RX from them at three times the cost is unconscionable. Whatever happened to free samples as a courtesy to those who have spent thousands there? read more

We moved to the Greenbrier area in 1997 and have been using Dr. Wood's services for as long as I can remember. He has always been very compassionate with our babies and has taken the best care of them all. Unfortunately we have lost 3 doggies and 3 kitties in the last twenty years due to old age and one to cancer but Dr. Wood has always been there for us and for them! Took my Chihuahua to have his teeth cleaned . Got an Estimate of 239.75 for a low total and 269.25 for a High total. I was told that they recently had a Dog that had 16 teeth extracted , and it didn't change the charges that much . I was called after the Procedure , and told that he had 6 teeth extracted. .... On the High Estimate it had a charge of 29.50 for MULTIPLE tooth extraction . I got charged 70.75 for 1 tooth because it was a Carnassial and another charge of 73.75 for Multiple tooth extraction . He came home with two medications , and he received an injection for Pain . Even though NONE of that was in either Estimate , I don't have a problem paying the 80.15 for that. I spoke with the "Office Manager " , and she said there was nothing that could be done .Se said I received a DISCOUNT of over 200.00..... maybe I'm stupid , but that doesn't SOUND like a DISCOUNT to me .....So to make a Long Story short ... Even when you get an Estimate for Low end of $239.75 , and High end of $269.25 .. you will REALLY be PAYING 464.50. .Something just doesn't add up to me . Does it you ? read more

Dr Wood, Dr Justice and his staff have been with our family through the roughest of times. They were there for the welcoming of new family members and the passing of older family members. They treat each and every pet as we do- like family! When we lost our babies to cancer or simply old age they made us comfortable and gave all the time we needed to say our goodbyes. They are all willing to help with the door, or caring a heavy pet. Their smiling faces and helping hands are always present when we least expect it. They never over charge and always reduce the price when possible. They are willing to work with a budget, while still providing the highest standard of care. When we welcome a new addition to the home it's always a pleasure introducing them to the staff. They keep their composure when you call a hundred times because you're worried about a pet and never make you feel unwelcome for reaching out for advice. They always make time for emergencies, although it can be difficult to get in for a regular visit. I can tell you that it is worth the wait! In addition to this I want to note that in the passing of a furry family member you will get a personal condolence card that is signed by every team member. When you are still mourning your loss they remind you that they are still there and that they care. This is the greatest clinic! Bring your babies here if you want to extend your family! Dr. Wood and Dr. Justice have been our Veterinarians at Greenbrier-Springfield Animal Hospital since 1999. The courtesy and empathy displayed by them and their staff has been impeccable. Our pets have always received the most professional and courteous service from acquiring a new fur baby to having to say goodbye to one we have had for 17 years. They take their time to listen to our concerns and issues with our pets and have lent their expert and skilled attention to our pets' health needs. We brought our 75-lb. English Bulldog to this vet for cremation services. My husband was asked to bring our boy around back and someone would assist. A petite young assistant came to the door and she kept insisting that she could take the dog from there, to which my husband warned that he was very heavy. Needless to say, she dropped our boy Jack on the floor. My husband scooped him up, pissed... Jack's body released some blood and fluid due to the fall. We understand that he is deceased, but he was still our baby. Having just moved to the area, this was our first experience with this vet. I have to agree with Chester M., not much staff empathy. Will NEVER use them again. read more

BEWARE!! This place will over charge and change charges as they seem fit. Everytime ive taken my basset to be groomed the amount goes up. She has short hair and is super mellow. When I called to schedule this wash they told me she would be required to get a flu vaccine. Another new requirement which will cost $35. I agreed because well what choice did I have. Once I get there the rude woman in front tells me " oh since she hasnt had a physical since may (8mo) she will need a Dr exam too, additional $42. Humans don't even get physicals that often.So now my simple bath has an additional $77. No thank you!! Will be finding a new honest groomer. Disgusted read more

A friend of ours' dog was attacked by another dog and taken here for help by the people who owned the dog that caused the damage. The dog's owner couldn't pay the 1500.00 all at once because he's an 18yr old making minimum wage. He did offer to make payments but was told that the entire bill had to be paid in full. So instead of having some compassion you send his dog to the city pound to be euthanized?! Why would you even bother to perform the procedure if you're just going to send the dog off to be killed? Visited this place with someone else to bring in a sick kitty on a Saturday during walk-in hours. Yes, I get no one wants to work on Saturdays and probably no one wants to see anyone walk in in the last hour. They close at 12 on Saturdays. Everyone who came into the room seemed rushed and seemed really not to have much compassion for this cat who was scared and clearly not feeling well. The doctor was okay but didn't bother to introduce herself at any point. A couple of the young girls working just wanted to get out and barely took time to explain which tests came back clear and which we would have to wait on. Less time was spent discussing medication (one of which they should have just administered in the office). This place used to have a fabulous veterinarian there but she has relocated. The staff used to be much friendlier also. It's been a while since I've been to this animal hospital and after this experience I certainly won't be bringing my own kitties there. read more

Chester M and Lauren's reviews are accurate. Its terrible. Unless you just want Vaccines, don't be fooled. You walk in a very clean facility with many false smiles. Love and compassion for animals is not their motive, its money. To my dismay I took my 3 yr old dog, that was in great pain from a possible neck injury for our first visit. Dr. Wood, the owner, with a smile, did a very basic physical while I was there, did not address my question as to why her eyes are dilated, took X rays to which he then came back to say she did not hold still, but charged anyway. When I indicated that she did not respond to Previcox the night before, he still sent us home with Meloxicam (pain meds) and nothing more. Monday, two days later, I called, reached the front desk, to state my little girl was still in great pain and that her eyes were bulging. Tue 5.30PM, Dr. Wood finally called, and as she was up and about a bit more, only stated that my dog did not need the muscle relaxers. My Dog was in great pain and whinsed while sleeping, which I had told the Dr. and Staff. Thur 7.45 AM, I reached the front desk, who subsequently hung up on me when I pressed them for a time of return call from Dr. Wood.. Due to his staff's unkind response to my dog's urgency, I called Animal House Vet Clinic on Largo Dr. Nashville, were we were immediately welcomed without an appointment . I did not know, but she was blind by the time we arrived at their clinic. At the same time I had called for the Animal House Appointment, Dr. Wood, left me a message that he did not wish to treat my dog anymore. I'm so glad I moved on. The excellent Vet at Animal House, did blood work, legible x ray and complete physical plus full eye exam, determined that her neck was fine but she had a Spinal infection/swelling in the brain/ that resulted in Optic Neuritis. Treated with appropriate care, antibiotics, and steroids, after a couple more painful/terrible days, my little girl has re gained her vision and is on her way to a full recovery. How awful that she had to endure such pain unnecessarily. Plus my pain. On top of it, the front office,at Dr. Wood's Greenbrier Springfield Clinic, again failed by not releasing the medical records and x rays in time for treatment, so I was forced to pay a second time. This was after I gave them all the contact info at 9AM, and Animal House four times followed up while I was sitting in their waiting room. This is not just incompetent, it is more than unkind. Don't expect much from Greenbrier Springfield Vet Clinic, except a higher than usual bill. read more
