I could not believe how much the store has expanded over the years, including an annex two doors down that houses thousands of CDs. The amount of inventory here is almost overwhelming in the best possible way. As a music collector, it honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven. No matter what genre you enjoy, there is an incredible amount to explore. I was especially excited to find a large selection of leftover Record Store Day titles, including two rare releases that I was thrilled to add to my collection. I also came across many original pressings of 1980s LPs and 12" singles, along with a huge number of CDs in the annex, including several out-of-print titles that are becoming increasingly difficult to find. Everywhere I looked, there were hidden gems waiting to be discovered. Atlantic Sounds is the kind of record store where you could easily spend an entire day -- or several days -- browsing and still not see everything they have to offer. I am so glad to see how much they have grown and expanded since my last visit. It remains an absolute paradise for music lovers and collectors.

Used CDs are in ABC order, there's a section for 45s, dollar bins, DVDs and VHS, and both a playable Nintendo Entertainment System and a SEGA Genesis! It was fun to peruse through the countless merch. The music playing over the shop's sound system was EXCELLENT. Made me want to take my time just so I could listen to whatever was playing at the time. This is one of the cleanest, finest record shops I've been in to, and I can't wait to go back.

The vintage clothing section is small, and some of it is legit vintage. They have some local photos and t-shirts and suchlike. It's not Balsa Bills, by any means, but if you collect that stuff, have a look. I will not buy vinyl here because they are trashing their own stock. They store hundreds of LP's in flimsy cardboard boxes piled atop one another under the racks, and the covers get bent, flaky and dog eared. If you lack the initiative to make wooden LP crates for your under stock, you are not really interested. There is usually one person hanging out behind the counter, but they're not what you'd call interested. The prices are high for the condition but if you don't mind trashed covers I heard you can sometimes find a playable record for a couple of bucks.

The staff and owner were super friendly and helpful with any questions. We got the lay out of the shop once we got there so it was easy to navigate their many sections. It's a pretty big record shop with lots of good options and great prices. They have vinyl, CDs, merch, patches and other goodies. I bought a record and really enjoyed my time there. I don't have a lot of vinyls but I would definitely buy some from Steve's if I needed them since the pricing seems fair. They also have great wall banners for sale and plenty of CD's. If you're looking for something specific just ask Steve for help because this store is jam packed full of music. Steve was super friendly and informed me if there was something I specifically wanted he could get it for me. I didn't find anything I wanted on this visit; however, the last two times I was here I purchased a few CDs from his clearance shelf for $1 each without a scratch on them, not bad at all. If you are looking for a new, used, or unique vinyl or just want to burn some time checking out a great record store while shopping in DeLand, then I highly recommend stopping in if you're in the area.
