My Dad had always been close enough to help me out if I ever had an issue with my car, but that became difficult to rely on when I moved about 4 hours away for graduate school. I am so happy I listened to the recommendation I was given for American & Import Auto Repair because they just genuinely care about people over their own profits in a way that is HARD to find in this day and age. Every staff member I have interacted with has treated me with the utmost respect and understanding - even when I ask what could be considered "stupid" questions given my lack of experience handling even my own Auto Maintenance. I loved my first experience with them so much that I decided to switch to them for my oil changes as well. While at my most recent oil change, I saw a flyer for their annual women's car clinic that they host for free and reserved a spot for myself and a friend. This past Saturday I attended the clinic and they went so above and beyond that it genuinely touched my heart. They had wonderful goody bags just for attending with stuff that you actually need and can use instead of just random things. They even included a notebook for taking notes at the clinic too! I learned so much at this event and was able to ask as many questions as I liked. The really big thing that stood out to me was when the owner, Tim, spoke at the beginning of the clinic and clarified that they were not trying to sway us to use them instead of any other place an attendant of the clinic might regularly go to, but that the event was meant to empower us women no matter where we get services done. I saw that I had a screw in one of my van tires. I took it to the nearest Porter Tire store and…read morewas cordially greeted by a friendly young lady and she said it might be about a 30 minutes wait and that I could wait in my car and they would get me or I could wait in my lobby. I chose to wait in my car. After about 20 minutes a young man greeted me an directed me to the bay in which I was to have my car serviced. I was even able to remain in my car as they checked the tire. After pulling the tire and testing it, the technician told me that the small screw did not puncture the inner tire and that there would be no charge. He also even offered to check the tire pressures on my other tires before I left! He checked the tires, added air to a couple of them and sent me on my way with a smile. Now that is what I call exceptional service!
