I moved to Morristown 2 years ago and found Porter's Tires on the recommendation of my favorite shop in Mississippi. I have used Porter's for new tires, new battery, wheel alignments, and oil changes. I am completely satisfied so far. They always get me in and out quickly when I make an appointment in advance. They have worked me in a couple of emergencies without an appointment and still got me out amazingly fast. I haven't made detailed comparisons of their prices vs others. Their prices are in line with my old favorite shop in Mississippi, though. I am not looking for the cheapest, I am happy with fair, honest, dependable convenient, and fast. Purchased a new set of new tires here. A few days later I had an severe injury to my right arm , I had to take myself to the ER the tire scuffed the curb causing a small leak. The temperature outside was below freezing. Porter found the issue on the sidewall and took care of business. They ran the tire through multiple tests and made things right! I have told my family, friends and acquaintances about my experience ..many have thanked me several times. Porters have saved me money and physical pain.. I have been a customer at the Morristown Porters Tire store several times over the past 10 years. I would say that at least half the time they did things like unmounts a tire to check for a leak and never charged me for the service. When service or replacement was necessary they were honest and fair, providing quick service without an appointment. You can take my word and the word of others that they are helpful, honest, and trustworthy. This is not a gimmick or something they just started doing, it is the way they have always been. First of all, I find Porter Tire's prices to be very competitive. Several times I have compared their prices with online stores like Tire Rack and local places like Sam's and I have always gone back to Porter Tires. Second, I find that they give you very fast service. I will bring my computer so I can work from their lobby (free internet) but before I know it the work is done. Finally, I have found all the people I deal with to be very friendly and knowledgeable including letting me know about special deals. I am even getting my mower tires from Porter now. read more

I've never had a problem at Porter's Tires. When I did have a small issue Roger made sure it got fixed. They are good honest people. When I was low on money because of hard times and desperately needed tires, one of the workers found some used tires that would get me through the winter until I could get some new ones...at no charge...I didn't ask for this...they just did it out of kindness. Quality service when you just pull in or if you make an appointment. Some of the faces have changed over the past 30+ years but the service has stayed first rate. From being a young boy going with my Papaw to now sending my son there, I like that you have the ability to talk about the issues or problems and come to a solution that works for you and your pocketbook. Anytime I have a problem whether it is a leaking tire, needed a repair on a tire, or just an oil change, brakes or whatever. They would look at the issues and then come back and tell me they needed to fix it for me, and how they did it. I have always used the Alpha Porter's Tire Shop. I had a very good experience with Porter Tire, Buffalo Trail Office. I went in for the first time, after moving to Morristown from Florida, to get an oil change and tire rotation.
