I called this them and told them I am being overcharged and a lady picked up and told me I'd have to call uhaul's 800 number. Makes no sense to report it to uhaul when you are the one I am having the dispute with. I called uhaul. Uhaul is saying that storage 290 was claiming I returned the gas tank on 1/4 but received it almost full. That is literally impossible as I used 90 miles and the odometer shows that. But they're claiming I used that much gas. The uhual lady confirmed their vehicle is about 15 mpg; which adds up to exactly how much gas I put back in the vehicle. I told the lady, how can I use about 150 miles worth of gas in 90 miles? Even when I filled the tank, it wasn't even half way. The uhaul customer agent saw what I was saying made sense. Take a guess what uhaul did? You guessed it; they called 290 storage. The exact same thing I was trying to do in the 1st place. She got off the phone with storage 290 and said the lady kept saying she double checks everything. That doesn't answer the question as to how the odometer shows I used 90 miles but the gas their claiming was used is about 150 miles.So uhaul is now transferring this to their district manager to investigate. I will update my status. Long story short... don' use this place. They tried to overcharge me $56. I will report them to the BBB if I don't hear back soon. Update: Literally, 30 minutes after this review was posted, the owner emailed me and told me she would look into my concerns. About 15 minutes after I got that email, a district manager got a hold of me and did refund me the $56. In talking with him , he did admit that based on the miles I drove the needle shouldn't have moved more than 1/4. I am changing my rating from a 1 star to a 3 star. I can't give it higher than a 3 star based on what occurred but I will give credit to the owner. She was swift in responding and very professional to me and uhaul did correct the mistake.

With furniture and items also being chewed through. This isn't just a matter of property damage; it is a severe health hazard. The building itself is clearly infested, as I saw other units with the same issue and rat droppings throughout the hallways. The bait traps I saw were neglected and stuffed with leaves, showing a complete lack of maintenance and negligence on the property's part. What is worse is the lack of communication. I was promised a follow-up from the property manager shortly, yet it has been days with zero response. I have left numerous voicemails and have now had to escalate this to corporate just to hopefully get a word from a district manager. I am still waiting for a resolution regarding the safe removal/disposal of these contaminated items and full reimbursement. Save yourself the headache and the health risk. Do NOT rent here.

The elevators were out of service over an extended period. Like I came one month, there was a sign on the elevator. Next month, same sign smh. On one visit, only one elevator was operating, and it stopped while we were inside, requiring me to press the emergency button for assistance. Biggest issue for me, within three months of renting, my rate was increased by 52%, which is excessive by any standard. I called to complain, left a message about the increase, and requested a return call. No one ever called me back. Instead, the increase was reduced by $5 without any explanation or follow-up. Since I live out of state, I paid the higher rate, but once I returned to Texas, I cleared out the unit. But damn, at least give customers six months to a year at the original contract rate before increases occur and when they do, a 50% increase is wild and crazy work! Between the aggressive pricing, lack of communication, and ongoing maintenance and security issues, this location was not worth continuing to use. Also, the entrance gates were also broken a few times, which raised concerns about security. I was relieved once my belongings were removed from the facility.

We kept our life's possessions in this facility under the assumption that it was climate-controlled. Instead, the lack of proper AC completely ruined our wood furniture, causing it to split and warp. On top of the climate issues, the entire facility is infested with rats. When we filed an insurance claim for the damage, the company denied it, using the excuse that "the AC works fine." It clearly does not. Save yourself the heartbreak and financial loss--go somewhere else.

I complained to management that I had insurance on the truck and the next day they returned it. The truck was towed back into the facility and lots of the parts were missing on the inside. I also accessed my storage unit from the back side instead of the front because the key to my lock in the front did not work. Weeks later, I called management if they were able to break the lock when I was present, but they told me that they already changed my lock. They gave me the new code to get into my storage from the front and a lot of my items were stolen. This place is a very shady place. It is sad to know there is burglary going on and management knows it too. I called to let them know my situation and they hung up the phone. I am reporting this place to the police, because the things this place does is terrible.
