For the SPEAKEASY UPSTAIRS: We were told you have to have a reservation to go to the SPEAKEASY that's on the upstairs of the restaurant -we made the reservation at 4:30 PM on a Friday night and we were the only people there for at least 45 minutes. It didn't seem that busy so I'm not sure why reservations are required, but it's a really pretty space upstairs. It's a limited snack menu and they do have nice drinks, but my husband wanted a pour of bourbon and they really didn't have an extensive selection as far as that goes. It was more of craft cocktails mixed and some beers. The downstairs restaurant and bar looked really nice so we'll probably just check that out next time instead for more selection of bourbon and food. read more

A fabulous new restaurant in downtown Bluffton! The whole menu is gluten free, but you would never know it. The food is delicious and very fresh. The flavors of everything we tried were amazing and there was so much more on the menu I wanted to try. The greens were fresh as can be and they meats are local. I ordered the chicken and it was so tender and flavorful. The drink menu was exquisite and I'd love to go to the speakeasy sometime. The service was impeccable. I visited Greenhouse with two friends and unfortunately the meal fell far below expectations. We ordered several appetizers and two main dishes, and nearly everything was either overly salty, overcooked, or poorly balanced. The Kale salad was so heavily dressed with vinegar it was difficult to eat. The fried snapper was served over peaches that were underripe and hard. My burger was ordered medium but arrived well‑done. The staff was polite, but the food quality and execution were consistently sub‑par. The building's exterior is beautiful, but once inside, the atmosphere shifts to more of a cafeteria feel -- loud, echoing, and dominated by artificial greenery covering the ceiling and bar. With the high ceilings, the noise level made conversation a challenge. Overall, the meal and ambiance didn't match the price point or the promise of the exterior. read more

Beautiful building. Very nicely appointed. Parking is very limited. We had good service. But food was pricey and limited selection. Drinks were good. But the noise in the dining room was EXTREMELY LOUD! Could not hardly hold a conversation. Food was ok but it was a little disappointing. Imran waited on us and was great and recommended some of the best selling small plates. We highly recommend the Thai Coconut Clams. Also had the Kale Salad. We had the trout for our large plate and enjoyed that too. Shared everything and satisfied.Also had two of the fun cocktails and vanilla cheesecake. Had reservations at 6 or so, couldn't find a parking place and had to walk in the rain. The place looks great, but the noise was too loud to talk across the table. New waitress had trouble with the orders, but only one came out incorrectly. The food was adequate, but expensive for the portions. My guess is we will maybe try the speakeasy, but doubt we will go back to the main restaurant, just too loud. read more

We were very excited to go because the food and drinks looked good. We got our drinks and they were delicious, a little pricey for what it's worth but that's okay. The crab dip was good, perfect for two people, definitely not three. We got our entrees and the first thing I noticed was that my burger was so small. For $20+ was wild to me. I asked for it medium rare it came medium well, it was extremely dry. They need a bigger patty, I usually eat half a burger and I'm full off of that. The fries seemed old because they were pretty hard to chew on. We were in and out less than an hour. The trout also seemed to be lacking quite a bit. The lemon and the char gave the trout all its flavor, it needs sides. We will come back for the speakeasy and see what that menu entails and try the food then. Long story short , if it wasn't for Imran would not be back. The manager was rude. We had a reservation and our friends from out of state were running 15 minutes late due to traffic. We were told we needed to leave the bar and go to our table, for 15 minutes? Too many great restaurants in the area we spent well over 500 dollars tonight. Food okay, drinks are good,Imran made the evening, you have a keeper in him! With so many restaurants to choose from it's the little things that can make or break you. First bar service was amazing. Clay and Hannah were a pleasure to talk to and service was top notch. Food was marginal- I paid $25 for a cheeseburger and it was just ok. My friend had the pork and it was cold. It's a very noisy restaurant. I would go back to sit at the bar and have a drink. read more

I have dined in twice at Greenhouse, both times for brunch. I'm more of a classic breakfast person, so that's what I ordered. The food was delicious on both occasions. The service was exceptional on my most recent visit. Our server, Jordan, was amazing! Great sense of humor!! I really wanted to like Greenhouse, but the experience fell short. We had a reservation for the speakeasy and showed up in the rain, only to walk up two flights of stairs and be told we had to go back downstairs to check in at the main restaurant. What made it worse was that the staff upstairs refused to simply call the hostess to let them know we had arrived. There's a point where "protocol" shouldn't override basic customer service. Turning guests away in that situation, especially in bad weather, just isn't a great look. The one bright spot: the cocktails. They were genuinely well-made and honestly the only reason this isn't a lower rating. Overall, the concept has potential, but the execution--especially on the service side--needs serious improvement. read more

The food we ordered was excellent and would definitely go again. service was also very good. like most new places it was so noisy you could barely hear the other dinner guest. The only critique I have and remember it wasn't officially opened was that two of the menu items we ordered were already sold out. I liked that they had such an extensive gluten-free menu. And yet the choices for others were still very interesting. I think they will do very well. And will definitely go again. read more
