Excellent masseuses and a very relaxing atmosphere -- everyone is really nice and helpful! As a professional violinist, I am all too aware of how difficult it is to find a masseuse who cares enough to look and feel where your real issues are and work them out. I have been twice now and on both occasions the masseuse working with me has had an excellent sense of touch. I have left feeling relaxed each time and eager to go back. Too many occasions before Hot Stone Spa, I had received inadequate or uncaring, yet expensive massages. If I had deep tissue, I would get bruised this is usually due to lack of muscle knowledge and/or a good sense of touch. If had Hot Stone before, I always ran the risk of cold stones or burning hot stones. These are not experiences you will have at Hot Stone Spa! There is no question that they want to help you feel better. I have felt amazing each time. Additionally, each time I have received a scalp massage during the massage and it has done such wonderful things for my brain -- definitely a stress reducer! Nice clean spa, but it is the masseuses that distinguish this spa from others in the area. They are attentive to detail and spa is very clean. They advertise $45 an hour which is a great rate but like always you have to make sure their hour has 60 minutes in it just like our hours. I imagine I'll return as the quality lines up good for the price. On a cost benefit analysis, Hot Stone Spa comes out good. I imagine I'll continue to visit until I find another place in the area that offers the same for the same or less cost. Or until the return possibilities curve inverts and they lose their comparative advantage. When that happens the price elasticity if demand will manifest itself and and a price ceiling will be reached before economies of scale run their course. read more

I read some of the reviews before going and checked out the Groupon, but opted to pay in person because the price was the same for the first visit. My massage was not for the faint of heart, but it wasn't meant to be relaxing. I needed deep tissue. The massage was good, and the stones were nice after being heavily manipulated, but the other parts leave me wanting to go somewhere else. I never had anyone ask directly for their tip before. I agree with others there is a language and culture barrier here. I am also accustomed to having a few minutes to collect myself afterward, but when I was done, the light was turned on and I was expected to exit immediately. I never met the masseuse before I went in and did not discuss any of my needs with receptionist. It was not awful, but did leave something to be desired. The massage is good for the price, but if you are looking for a special treat, you might want to look elsewhere. If you do go, be aggressive and ask for what you want and make sure they understand. read more

I received on Groupon as a gift i booked the apt then was called literally 4 times to change my time that I was scheduled to come in. When I got there I Immediately Felt alittle sketched out and uncomfortable. I was confused but I'm not the type to judge I was really excited for this needed massage so I was like it's fine. They didn't speak well English and she was trying to get me to buy another package that was not from Groupon even tho I received it as a gift and kept saying no I'm fine in a polite way n she wouldn't stop asking me. They were harassing me about there tip BEFORE they even walked me to the massage room. Which was not a room which made me feel weird but I was like it's ok give it a chance. It was the middle of the building with something wrapped around it. She pointed to the hanger and told me to undress she came in before I was ready with out asking I quickly covered my self in the sheets and she was trying to put my hair in a pony tail and was pulling it. Finally I fixed it and she began the massage. The massage it's self was fine I enjoyed that especially on my upper body and the hot stones were nice. I DID NOT enjoy that I could hear the entire spa speaking so loud, On the phone, other customers coming in, and people kept talking to the girl who was giving me my massage so she was talking back to them right in my ear. There was no way I could relax and couldn't wait for it to just be over at that point. THEN she kept massaging closer to my butt n I was like ok wtf is going on LOL then she pulled my underwear all the way down with out any consent and started to massage my butt and did not pull them up and got on top of me and was shaking me with my underwear still down and I had to sit up in the middle of my massage and pull them up and say I'm all finished of course she did not understand and tried to pull my underwear down AGAIN to massage and I was like no I'm out of here. I gave her, her tip still and left and one lady followed me down the steps asking for money. I hate even giving this facility one star. My wife and I traveled an hour and 10 minutes to come and get a couples massage and upon arrival the woman at the front desk could not tell us why ............ But advised us that she had cancelled our appointment and sent her workers home . No call ..... Nothing just canceled our appointment, and let us know when we arrived!! Needless to say the only accommodation was to come back at closing tonight and even though she would be the only person there she could possibly do a massage at that time. So much for it being a couples massage! Unless we would each of gotten one hand!!! I would never ever recommend this facility to anyone what a complete waste of time. NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE! SUPER RUDE! The worst customer service ever! My husband and I went to get our couples massage that he booked in advance for Valentines Day. Once we entered, the lady checking us in was RUDE. She did not greet us and made us feel like we were an inconvenience. As she checked us in and checked off my husband's couple massage voucher, she then looked in her book of appointments and said he didn't specify what massage we were booking when he made the appointment MIND YOU they called the night before to confirm the reservation and massages we were getting. We went back and forth and she rudely continued to say we can only do one massage. What kind of since does that make? A place that has great customer service would accommodate their guest and apologize but she was so RUDE we left and we will get our volucher money back. All this to say, save your money and time! If zero stars was an option, that's what I would select. Do not waste your time. I purchased the 90 minute hot stone massage off of Groupon. When I called to make the appointment I was greeted with "I will have to call you back." So already annoyed, she finally called back with the noise of a child during the entire conversation that she could barely understand to begin with. I arrived at the "spa" for my appointment and the woman who greeted me barely spoke any English and said "massage?" I said yes and then explained that I paid for the 90 minute hot stone massage. She just shook her head and then showed me a piece of paper that said I didn't to pay an extra $4.83 for taxes and fees for the massage, which I've never ever experienced with a Groupon before. Confused, I said I would pay after the massage. The same woman took me to the room and just pointed to my clothes then to the hooks on another door (that was cracked open and led to another room.) There was no consultation to find out problem areas or areas that were off limits. The only thing that was said before the massage was "mild or hard?" And I said light pressure. So instead of getting the hot stone massage, she covered me with the sheet and began to just push on my back with no resemblance of a massage whatsoever. She then came to the head of the bed where I discovered that she was completely barefoot. She then proceeded to get ONTO the massage table on her knees on either side with my head literally in her crotch and was massaging my butt and I said "no butt please" and I guess she didn't understand because she just giggled and said "okay." She then got off the table and stood to the side and continued to massage my leg and butt so I again said "do not massage my butt please" and got the same response as before. She moved to the other said of the table and AGAIN massaged my butt so I sat up and said "stop I am done and do not want to continue." Still not understanding me, she tried to continue the massage and I said "stop I am getting dressed, please go." So she finally leaves and I get up to get dressed and she just barged in while I'm not fully clothed and I told her to leave. She waited another minute and came back in and tried handing me her cell phone to talk to someone but I said "no I am done and I am leaving." I don't know why, but I handed her a $5 bill to cover whatever bs $4.83 taxes and fees. So not only did I not get the hot stone massage that I paid for, I got a terrible over the sheet palm press for $55. Do not waste your time here. read more

very very very disappointing, First there was a communication issue, the lady at the desk couldn't speak English and was pointing to a paper to tell me to pay 8.50 with the groupon. After going back and fourth with her, she finally called a lady on the phone to translate. and the 8.50 was eventually waived. So as I'm getting my massage the lady was just rubbing extremely hard, just rubbing, when I asked for a Swedish massage, confused, she called for the translater. after the lady on the phone was overheard yelling at the worker. the worker returned to begin my Swedish massage. I ignored the sound of children now playing outside my door .no type of serene sounds .But when I was asked to turn around after 40 minutes,I realized that the door was open during my massage, body naked on the table for all entering to see!!!(PS,Im not a small woman)but my entire body, booty and all was totally exposed to everyone walking in as my room was right at the front door. Everyone and I mean customers, workers, handymen working on the property,everyone had to walk by my room to reach the front desk. I WAS MORTIFIED. she stated in a broken language "too hot in room, needed air".I was angry ,pissed, mad embarrassed,,,, i could keep going. I got dressed and when I went to the front desk, to complain to the English speaking woman that has arrived, she apologized and said that she will give me 20 minutes free on my next massage that I purchase. I simply stated my privacy was seriously invaded and that I would be a complete fool to return to such an unprofessional establishment. All she kept on saying is that she will give me an extra 20 minutes.Its bad enough that the actual massage was just okay, and that's being generous. never ever ever again. read more
