Funny thing, we were the only ones staying the night (luckily we only booked one night), to find that out upon arrival. No WiFi access (too cheap to expense that) the advertised pub was not an option, nor was the restaurant! Then in the morning the BREAKFAST, hense part of a BED & BREAKFAST experience, was a granola bar, dry cereal, a few grapes, cinnamon rolls wrapped in plastic wrap, juice "if" you wanted it and milk "if" you had cold dry cereal. Sadly the 2 ladies that work their are way too nice!! Shame on this owner! I have reached out via text several times in which I was told I would get a call back after Carl was out of a meeting...no call. Today I left a voice message...no return call. So, unfortunately lesson learned that those intended to lie and rip you off are out there even hidden under a very impressive PHONY website.

A large seating area with an umbrella, outdoor grill with patio table and chairs, fire pit with Adirondack chairs, sturdy seating by the creek that runs along beside the property and another set of chairs by the creek. The seating groups were spaced out for the family to chat or for a little private time. The interior design is beautiful and well thought out. (Can you come decorate my house? Every detail was exceptional--from the thoughtful touches in the room to the breathtaking scenery. We're already looking for an excuse to return to South Carolina so we can spend more time here. This stay was part of a planned road trip through North and South Carolina, and the experience began well before we arrived. In the weeks leading up to our visit, Christian reached out multiple times to confirm our preferences and arrival details. It was such a thoughtful touch and made us feel genuinely welcomed, like our stay truly mattered. The arrival and check-in instructions were clear, warm, and inviting--more like being welcomed as guests than customers. The drive in sets the tone beautifully, winding through the rolling hills of northwest South Carolina, past lush forests and open pastures. Eventually, you arrive at an unassuming gate off the road, leading past a small pond and into the woods. A short drive up a gravel road brings you to the main inn. The building houses four guest rooms along with common spaces used during their wine bar events. There are also several private cottages on the property, which we didn't explore--but after this stay, they're definitely on our radar for next time. We stayed in the Gable Room, located up a flight of stairs with its own private ground-level entrance. A personalized note greeted us at the door, and inside, a beautifully arranged welcome letter awaited us on the bed, surrounded by rose petals--an elegant and memorable touch. The room itself was stunning. Our favorite details included the lace-draped bed, the cozy gas fireplace, the relaxing jetted tub, and the incredible balcony view. It truly felt like every possible need had been anticipated--from plush robes to well-stocked kitchenette supplies, even down to small, thoughtful items like bandages by the sink - just in case. And the bed--absolutely incredible. The memory foam mattress and feather pillows made for one of the best nights of sleep of the trip. Waking up to a sunrise over the pasture, with horses grazing against a mountain backdrop, was nothing short of magical. We spent the morning on the balcony, setting up the chairs and tray tables to enjoy coffee in the early sun. It was completely peaceful--just the sounds of birds, a few wild turkeys, and the occasional soft chuff from the horses. We were genuinely disappointed to be leaving after just one night. Throughout the rest of our trip--and even now--we keep talking about how much we wish we had stayed two or three nights instead. If there's one small area for improvement, it would be the Wi-Fi. The signal in our room was a bit weak, and the streaming-only TV had trouble connecting. That said, in a place like this, you may find you don't miss it at all. It didn't detract from our experience, and certainly not enough to impact our rating. Overall, a 10/10 experience. We even had the pleasure of meeting Christian, Allison, and Griffin on our way out--they are an absolutely charming family. Thank you for an unforgettable stay. We can't wait to return. This suite had 1 bathroom, 1 bedroom with a king bed and sitting room, another bedroom with 2 twin beds. My mom and I slept on the king bed. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable but I did sleep good! This suite has lots of stairs to get to it so that was a challenge with luggage but we made it. The furnishings are old, in style with the house, but comfortable. There were fans in the rooms which was nice. We arrived late at night and got the last private parking spot, which is also a walk to the house but doable. Breakfast is served 8:30a-9:30s and we went down about 9a. There were no seats available, the hostess came and apologized and told us the breakfast menu for the day. Bacon was on it and I LOVE some bacon. Finally got seated, breakfast arrived, no bacon, they were out of bacon! Dissatisfaction! After breakfast talked with inn hostess and told her we didn't need our room cleaned but could use some clean towels and trash taken out. She said ok, she would do it and then hang a rope across the steps to let the housekeeper know we didn't need service. Then we left for the day. Got back late, clean towels, trash not emptied. Next day, left the rope down, left for the day, got back late, no clean towels, trash still not emptied. Oh, and we went down to breakfast by 8:30 to make sure we got seats and food! I'm There is a small fridge in the dining area with ice in baggies and you can store something small but that's it. They do have coffee/tea and small snacks t/o the day and night. This place is clean but not exceptionally clean, the outside grounds were nice but not exceptionally nice. Which I feel is the theme for this place, everything is nice and comfortable but not exceptional. Back to the breakfast, they make your breakfast and serve you, there are no options, you get what they are serving. The food was good. Would I stay here again? There was only one sofa, and it was not in a cozy little nook where you would want to hang out. The food was fine. The menu is heavy on carbs and sweet breakfast treats. They were executed well enough. But there was not any particular breakfast that knocked my socks off. Again it was fine. The location was very convenient to downtown Asheville. It would be a two minute drive or a 10 minute walk to downtown Asheville. This bed-and-breakfast did not appear to be owned and operated by the hosts, rather an absentee corporation or business. I think that made the difference. Everything was fine, but it didn't have that touch of home that you expect when you stay at a bed and breakfast. For example, when we wanted to use the television, and needed some assistance, when we called the number that was left, the call was blocked. On a whim , we texted Fortunately, they responded right away. But ultimately, after 6 PM you are on your own in terms of staffing. The amenities go far beyond our previous B and B experiences. Bottomless homemade chocolate chip cookies. Keuring service with huge variety of flavors.
