I am a brand new golfer, and have been incredibly pleased with how quickly I've developed under Jun's direction. I was apprehensive when I began taking lessons because I was intimidated with the complexity of the game, but Jun started with the basics and broke everything down so I could understand what the swing is supposed to look like. The best part about Baraban's is that all of the motions are videoed while you practice, and the instructor can play each swing back on the monitor so you see what you did right or wrong....and can show you what needs to be corrected. I can't imagine hitting balls on the range and just guessing what needs to be fixed if something isn't working right. I've found Baraban's Academy to be very affordable as well - they sell packages of lessons which work well for my situation. They also have club fittings, and many other services. I don't write a lot of reviews anymore, but every once in a while I do when I come across either an…read moreexceptional or exceptionally horrible business. Oswald and Accelerazied golf is one of these exceptions. Right before I started coming here for lessons I played my local course to establish a benchmark and shot a 130. Shortly after I signed up for a 4 lesson package which includes 4 one-hour lessons and unlimited hitting on the practice range. After a couple of months and completing my first 4 lesson package, I played the same course and shot a 100. I know still pretty pathetic, but a huge improvement from my 130. While I'm sure if I dedicated the same amount of time without coaching my score would come down, but not 30 strokes in the span of a few months. The great/unique thing about coming here is that you can practice and watch video of yourself. Oswald draws out proper stance, swing lines, posture, etc. during your lessons and then you are able to go hit by yourself and watch what you are doing. I find this very helpful and one of the only ways I think I can actually change my swing. On top of the golf aspect, Oswald is a great coach/guy and never watches the clock during lessons. He seems to really care about his students and their progress. I could not recommend Oswald enough for lessons and can almost guarantee that your golf game will get better after going to him.
