This all started with a negative interaction with one single employee in California. However, I reached out to their customer service directly before resorting to Yelp. All I wanted was for another mother and their child to never be in the situation I was in. But since they won't do anything, I will! About the incident: I was at Target last week with my two daughters (11 months and 7 years old). According to her teacher my 7 year old is the "sweetest child ever" and also very shy; she wanted to help me open my car door for me to get my infant out and I thanked her. In the process she slipped and tapped my car door into this company's work van next to me. There wasn't a single mark on the van, but before checking, their employee came out and called me a "stupid bitch" and said I needed to watch my children! In front of my daughters! My daughter was apologizing to me for the rest of the night and was very upset. I was worried I damaged her. Due to their employee's outrageous scene! We immediately called Lighthouse Garage Doors and one of their consultants came to our house two days later (we'd called late on a Friday afternoon). He was very friendly, bonded with us over our cats, and took plenty of measurements, etc. of the current door. He showed us a lot of replacement options with varying costs, designs, and constructions. We chose a door we liked in our price range and he said he'd call the next day to set up an installation time and to verify that the door was in stock. The next day the consultant called us and said that they did NOT have the door we'd chosen. He then offered my husband the more expensive door we'd been eyeing for very close to the same price as our original choice (our first choice was about $865 - he gave us a $1200 door for about $900). Everything will be put in tomorrow. They're also hauling away the old door. The consultant, as I stated above, was extremely helpful and friendly. He didn't come across like a salesman and he didn't try to push a bunch of fancy options on us. I know four other customers of this company and they all say the same thing: these guys are great!!!

He did not try to sell me a new door, just got out his drill and went to it, reinforcing the hinges and plates that had broken/popped off. The panel they did sits higher than the rest of my and my neighbors fencing by 9-10" and at the bottom of it to fix the large gap they screwed pieces of panel to the bottom with black screws. It's a white panel. They could have avoided the need to come out and replace the whole panel if they had not been so lazy and dug to the proper depth needed. I do not recommend this fencing company. I called for the fifth time over the past six months, since they did the work. I have not received a single call from them. I have yet to see a happy neighbor with their fence.

They really care about you as the customer and want to make sure that you are 100% happy. I was especially pleased to see that when something weird happened they jumped into action to put in a lot of time and effort to make sure that the problem was 100% solved. A lot of companies can put up a nice fence, but not all of them will go out of their way to prioritize you and take full responsibility for a problem that isn't even entirely their fault. These are just great people and everyone should hire them to do their fences! ALSO, I got quotes for our backyard fence from 6 different companies and Allied Fence was the cheapest (by a couple thousand dollars in some cases). When the new contractor took out the shower, we found that the pipes had cuts in them and Joe had just covered them up. Everything that Joe did had to be replaced because of the poor installation. I paid him over 28k, and I paid for most of the materials myself. He is very dishonest, and made promises that he NEVER intended to keep. He said he would call me to schedule a meeting to talk about a refund, and he hasn't returned any of my calls, emails or text. if you are considering him for a job, DON'T!!!!! He and his workers who are not licensed, scratched my laminate flooring in 3 rooms. Unfortunately my flooring is no longer available so the rooms would need to be completely replaced. He said he could fix the scratches, but he hasn't. He has no regard for personal property.
