We booked a trip to Disney World as a surprise for our children and our to go hotel All Star was only available for our first night of the trip. So we decided to search in Airbnb for something close by. So we found GreenPoint hotel located close to the Disney property. This is the typical run down Orlando hotel with a barren lobby and the rooms that were stuck in the 90s. I know there are limitations with room services but here they did not provide complementary water bottles like other Airbnb and only one small bar of soap for a family of four. We stayed here April 20-23rd. I know, I'm terrible at keeping up with my reviews. We picked this hotel because we had a credit through my husbands work site and it was very reasonably priced so it cost very little, and reviews were ok. The room was ok. Not the cleanest or most updated, but all right. One thing I liked was it was quiet and I didn't hear anything next door / outside. There were hairs on the pillow and in the bed but I tried not to focus on it and just told myself it was from the people cleaning it. The furniture which had the desk looked like it used to hold an old non-flat screen tv, then the newer tv was next to it. They just never bothered updating the furniture. Kind of funny. Hotel came with breakfast which was nice but the selection wasn't the greatest. The only protein was ham and cheese which was bizarre. Even some hard boiled eggs would have been nice. On the 23rd I noticed 2 bites next to my knee when we were at islands of adventure but didn't think about it. When I woke up at home on the 24th I had multiple bites on my back, elbow and chest. It fit the description of bug bites which scared me, especially since we already brought all our luggage in the night before. I did all the preventative things and contacted the hotel. Anyway, you can see the email attached I sent to Greenpoint. I feel they handled it appropriately by having an exterminator check the room and they sent me a report. They said room didn't have them. It's been months and I haven't had any other unusual bites, so I think I'm ok. I'm not sure if I'd stay here again, not because of mysterious bites but for the other reasons. read more

We stayed here 5 nights. It was OK but there were a few things I didn't like. We had prepaid our stay through AAA, so I was surprised when I checked in to find out I had to pay an additional $60 "resort fee." I hate surprises. They lost a star just for that. The beds were comfy enough, but the rooms were so dimly lit. Just a couple of small lights, but the center of the room was always dark. The shower had only half a wall, so the floor was always wet after the kids showered. And our keys stopped working multiple times, requiring trips to the front desk to get new keys. The breakfast was OK. Waffles were nice. Mostly bagels, cereal, yogurt. Each day you get a different pair of hot items, some of them weird. Like ham and cheese one day. Another day an egg patty and link sausages. Another day a hard boiled egg and bacon. But we were able to fill up, so I won't complain. read more

It is a good hotel and a good location too. They have a pool which was closed because of Covid I assume but no big deal. They provided breakfast but it was very simple because of Covid. They had oatmeal, packaged pastries, remade sandwiches, a waffle station and drinks and coffee. The beds are very comfortable here. 3.5 stars to be exact! First off I love the remodel of the hotel. Everything is modern and new. Love the simple eco friendly rooms decorations and efficiency. The hotel/motel has been updated pretty nicely! I say motel because I think it used to be one and it has that feel to it but it has been updated. The lobby was cool with Robot art statues, a cool bookshelf sitting area and a kids play area while parents check in. The pool was closed but the area looked lovely with new outdoor furniture and some mini cabanas. I loved the fitness room because it actually had free-weights (rare in hotels). It also had new cardio machines, yoga balls, mats and other cool things. The room: Loved the carpet free room, bed was comfy, bathroom was modern, cool sink btw and cool bath products to use. BTW no coffee makers in room which I know for some people is a bummer but this is an eco friendly place so I think they were thinking minimalism here. The bathroom toilet/shower area though was very small. I think a bigger person would have a hard time navigating around the bathroom. Also to step in the shower is pretty high so anyone with knee/leg problems with have a difficult time going in/out of shower. Showerhead was waterfall style, nice. Also no door for shower so a lot of the water ends up splashing out and creates puddles out of shower, annoying. Beds were plush and comfy. Comp Breakfast: Eh we kind of shied away from it the 1st day, it wasn't too appealing but ended up trying on last day. Coffee was strong, loved it. Besides that everything is just basic continental breakfast style: bread, mini cupcakes/croissants, fruits, yogurt, oatmeal, ham & cheese and some spreads. If you're creative you can make yourself something decent. They have a coffee bar that serves Nepresso with different style coffees for purchase that I didn't have but looked delicious. Complaints: 1. My second bed had blood stains on them. I didn't notice till my last night there because I didn't sleep on that bed till last night. It grossed me out. it was on the pillow and sheets. If you're not going to get rid of the stain just toss out please, ew. 2. Plastic bottle used bottle tops were left in shower drain. Obviously housekeeping didn't bother to look in the drain. 3. If you're sensitive to noise try to book the 2nd floor. All rooms have a large window at the front so all noise from the parking lot and people passing your room is heard clearly. Plus I had neighbors playing basketball, yes basketball at 3am outside my door. Not a happy camper especially after spending my day walking at a theme park. Location: is very convenient, has lots of surrounding restaurants and fun places to go. Disney parks are only 10-15 minute drive away. Value: I got a great deal of $112 a night average plus a 20% YELP check in - but I wouldn't pay more to stay here. I know rates depend on season etc. so they may fluctuate. Customer service: was friendly upon arrival. Manager introduced herself to me and the new manager and the girl behind the counter Kiara I think was her name was really nice. Also, Monique in Guest relations, I spoke to her prior to coming in to ensure my Yelp check in offer and she went beyond her duty to find out for me and got back to me the following day as promised. - They charge $25 daily fee that is returned once you check out and there are no incidentals. Pro tip - If you plan on using the Yelp 20% off offer, call before hand and get it in writing. I had to explain myself many times over the phone, nobody knew what Yelp was and I got told I can't use it twice before I spoke to Monique. Monique sent me an email and I showed it to the front desk that was baffled by it until the manager was called and I could show proof that guest relations honored it. This is a new hotel guys so don't get frustrated, just roll with the punches, it has lots of potential to be great. read more

We Arrived at GreenPoint motel/hotel in Kissimmee Florida June 8, 2023...The location was right in the middle of a main drag and easy to get to Orlando. I forgot a lot of the hotels in Florida looks like motels. This place seem to be a decent for the area from the outside we were in for a surprise. People at the pool had a lot to say too. Wasn't just us. This will be a long review. I am about customer service and experience. We got there and after flight and grabbing a bite etc. we went to wash up and refresh ourselves and there's NO WATER of any sort plus it was HOT in the room. Broken AC So we went to the main entrance lobby and the GreenPoint Front Desk. We were told we needed to speak with Rep (Maria) outside their doors that was another shock. What's going on here come to find out that hotel.com and other entities have been doing Airbnb hosting at these hotels or motels, which was surprising so we end up have to speak to someone who did Aaron before the hotel. So we met Maria she was tried her best. She was the best of all the people we dealt with via this AirBnB sector of the hotel. We were shown a paper from the Board of Directors they blonde hair woman (Who was covering/looking out for Caesar the Host that night after Maria left) said they knew since Friday prior to our arrival on Tuesday. I saw other people complaining about this situation. You didn't think to make all your customers aware it's a possibility this might affect the entire property. This water issue was supposed to be from Monday through Wednesday it continued Thursday we arrived on Tuesday. Unfortunately our room # and floor section was NOT on the list because that wasn't the section they claimed to be working on. They were giving customers this notice upon arrival very unprofessional. We should have been notified prior to our arrival on Tuesday. Not paper given because we went to investigate. It's business and common sense to inform everyone it might affect the entire building. The next issue it was hot as a furnace in the room we are in Florida hello . Caesar tried to give us a hard time to get the AC switched out it was broken not fixable. Joe came with his helper and Maria and replaced it. Kudos to Joe. Cesar our Host now that we having issues responding suddenly he MIA just disappeared wouldn't speak to us anymore like he did before us getting there. There wasn't a language barrier according to his friend the blonde hair forgot her name. He doesn't speak English well he did before both in text and call we only spoke with him via Maria and giving her information or instructions. It's very disappointing when you arrive and have a bad experience the very 1st day and then the person that you were dealing with all along now wants nothing to do with the problem. The water came back it was cold, so you had to deal with that as well, boiling water in the microwave to take a bathe not shower. That's horrible make a long story short this water issue happened from we arrive up until Thursday week staying seven days. Everything was a la cate with these people. Breakfast wasn't included was 10 bucks per day. Even housekeeping was a cost. It was better eating outside using the gym was a fee. The only thing FREE was getting ice and actually using the pool. It's not a bad location but they need to do better in hotel.com. I'm sorry but you guys suck if that's the way I would never do anything with you guys ever again, because that's horrible to treat your clients. It was a back and forth with hotel.con to be whole with credits several phones call etc. Their customer service sucks. No understanding no empathy, long holds etc. Caesar after several calls about issues that day etc to adjustment his portion for those days we were inconvenienced. Maria was the best out of the three ladies. the other young lady was Reynard she tried to help; the other ladies n with blonde hair was covering for her friend Cesar/Caesar . As an Airbnb host and supposedly the best of the 10 host there he never followed up with us to make things right we were there June. Sunday will be October 2023.... I learned there's 10 host and Caesar was the best out of the 10 that's horrible just keeping it real... Would I recommend it after this experience NO it might be different dealing with the HOTEL DIRECTLY...I recommend they need to change some things YES . I would not recommend doing business with a hotel.com especially anything with their GIFT CARD or whatever it sucks because you're stuck with it and their bad service. Stopped for the night. Looked like a nice hotel from the street view, walking into lobby was promising. The rooms, not so much. Hardly lit rooms with less than Ikea quality furniture. Room was musty smelling but seemed clean. I liked there was laminate flooring instead of dirty carpeting. But, for $180/night, I'd expect a better quality room. Would not stay here again. read more

This was a very nice place to stay for the price point!! Much cheaper than other options and the rooms were clean (and cleaned with an impressive amount of detail each day!) The pool was nice, breakfast was good and the people were friendly when we needed assistance! The location is great for Disney or other nearby activities, was only about 10 minutes to the parks! I would give this dirty motel 0 starts if I could. This place should be reported to the health department and the county for violations of health codes. I Arrived on September 2nd with a reservation to stay until September 10. The motel looked very nice and clean. Everything looked like brand new. This was because they purchased this property recently and remodeled it. Looks can be very deceiving. Customer service was not too bad except for the fact that they lied about my confirmed check in and the room location. During my reservation, I had requested early check in and it was confirmed to be around 11:00am. I am also disabled, so I requested a room close to the front office and was told it would be available. Upon arrival, the room was not ready and it took until They tried to put me in a room all the way in the back and I told them that was not what I requested and paid for. So they made me wait until 4:30 before I was able to check In to my room. I was so tired and had to shower and sleep. It was a long flight from LA California so I went right to sleep. The next morning, breakfast was included with the room and I have no complaints about the food. It was just the basic continental breakfast. After eating, I went back to the room, took a shower and left for Disneyland. I arrived back to my room around 10pm. Took a shower and as I laid in the bed, I felt something crawling on my leg and when I looked, I was so disgusted. It was like a worm crawling on my leg. I jumped out of bed to find that the whole room was infested with them. I called the office immediately and they apologized and told me to come to the office and they will assign me a new room. I was so tired and had to move everything and get a new room. I went and I was assigned a new room. As I waked in the new room, it was also infested with the same insects worm looking creatures. I called the office and again advised them of the situation. This time I was told that they will move me to another room and they will send security to inspect the room. I have a major back problem and they were aware of my issue so security said he will inspect the third room before I walk to it. Few minutes later security came back and told me he was so sorry that the third room also was infested with them. So now it was around 12:00 am, all my clothes were in the first room probably those insects Were crawling all over them. I asked to speak to a manager at the front desk and explained what was going on. The manger refused to get on the phone for she was not on property and refused to talk to me. I couldn't stay at the motel and sleep in this sick condition. I was from out of town and had nowhere to go. I called few other motels around and they told me they couldn't check me in until the next day at 4pm. I had nowhere to go. Finally I called one place and found a hotel that would charge me $139 for that night and will allow me to check in right away. I am disabled and can't stay out in the streets. I told the clerk to tell the manager that she had to pay for my one night stay at the hotel. It wasn't my fault that I had to leave at midnight and had no reservation anywhere else. I couldn't sleep there and everywhere else wanted more money for one night because it was the weekend and Labor Day next day. So basically, the manager refused to talk to me on the phone. She refused to offer me money for a one night stay somewhere else. She was very rude and unprofessional. I had to call the sheriff to file a report and I was advised to call the county and file a complaint Which I took pics and will be doing next. I had to leave at midnight and got to the other property around 1:30 am. Still no sleep, my clothes thrown all over my car and my medication that I needed the most was nowhere to be found. I was in constant pain specially after being at Disneyland all day and coming to my room at 10 pm. The manager did not care about my well being, she discriminated against my disability and ignored the fact that I was out in the streets at 1:30am for something of their fault not mine. I had to pay almost $170 just for one night and then look for another hotel for the rest of the week. This was a very bad experience. While I was waiting outside for sheriff to come, I met with a family that had the same issue and they also went to report it to front desk. Then another family the same. So this tells me the whole motel was infested with those creatures and it's a health hazard and issue. I will report this to Expedia and all social media and also I will contact the county and health agency to advise them of this. This manager needs to be fired immediately. To put a disabled person through this and refuse to accommodate me is wrong. Stay away from this place. Those termites or whatever they are carry lots of diseases and it's not healthy for you or your family to sleep in the rooms. Bad management, bad customer service, bad rooms and bad place to be at. read more

Clean and a great price for a short stay. Beds were not the comfiest and the room temp was difficult to manage but again, served as a place to rest our heads since we were at the parks the whole day. They advertise they are 5 mins from Disney parks, which it took us about 20 mins from the hotel to parking at magic kingdom. Not what they claim but not to far with all things considered. A great place to stay if you speak Spanish. All signs and both in English and Spanish. There is a toddler area in the front and they offer a continental breakfast. We tried the breakfast the first morning and opted somewhere else the second morning. read more

Greenpoint was a life saver!! Last minute reservations with an early check-in !! First I would like to thank the staff Jesus because he really helped us out with getting a room with a early check in. We arrived a day early and plan to visit Disney World we had a Airbnb for the one day but we needed somewhere to put our bags and the Airbnb was not allowing an early check in so we first ended up at a another motel/hotel it was horribly horrible and we decided we couldn't stay there but with last minute changing our plans it was hard to find a cost efficient option; I found Greenpoint on Travelocity and the reviews and images looked good; I called to see if there was a room and what time the check-in was which it was 4 PM we wanted the room as soon as possible since we had reservations at Disney; when I first called I was informed that they were pretty full and that the earliest we could check in was 3 PM which we wanted earlier.... I called back again and explain the situation to Jesus and ask if we could at least leave our luggage there with our reservations and he was able to give us an early check in at 1 PM which helped so much. I would have to say Greenpoint is very trendy and modern and I love the whole look of the lobby and the room I actually wish we stayed a little bit longer so I could've tried the amenities because honestly our room look better than our Disney resort room. With the Yelp check 20% discount it was well worth the price and I would stay here next time visiting Disneyworld. read more

Stayed here for a couple of days and have to say the place doesn't look so exciting on the outside but the rooms are nice and so is the service. I did have a hiccup in the beginning due to booking the room wrong and instead of sending an email about it they just canceled it and gave to someone else. I know it's not fully their fault and it's the site we used but it was literally one day. Luckily we got it figured out but I paid for a day I didn't stay and had to wait till 4pm for next one (we got there at 10am....) Next day they had a party in the court yard and it was Insanely loud! The front desk gal gives us a key for room 104 we went and opened the door and there was an older gentleman walking around naked. I went to the office and told the front desk gal and she said " is it occupied?? really??" Like I work here! isn't that their job?? anywho she gave me room 129 and when we opened the door, it was full of dead bugs about 40 all over the floor and beds! I wish I could post pictures! This was a very nice stay. Clean towels, clean room. Nicely decorated. Great rate. The continental breakfast was more than expected and included boiled eggs, fresh mini waffles, Greek yogurt, and cottage cheese. There's also an option to order croissant sandwiches, specialty coffees, and a few other select options for an additional price. The pool looked nice, but it was closed. Good location near a lot of restaurants and close to the parks. The bathroom products smelled nice. There's a small gym and a play area for kids in the lobby. Being a green hotel though, I was surprised they had styrofoam plates and cups. We enjoyed our stay and will be back. read more

The rooms are renovated and nice but the breakfast is not good. First, they use styrofoam for both cups and plates. That is really unacceptable at this time and age. This is literally a roach motel. We just got home today from a stay at the Greenpoint and it was honestly one of the worst hotel stays we have ever had. Below are the pros and cons: Pros: - There is a free continental breakfast - There is WIFI and free parking - It's not super expensive (about $100/night) Cons: - As I mentioned- ROACHES! There were roaches in our room - The housekeeping was horrible. They often didn't even show up until 3 pm or later, and their work was shoddy at best. The bathtub wasn't super clean, they never changed the sheets (and we were there for a week)...they didn't even pull the fitted sheet down when it pulled up. - The lighting in the room is subpar. There are 2 small lamps and one wall sconce in the bedroom part of the room. - There is one chair in the room, so if you have multiple people, most will have to sit on the bed or floor...but I wouldn't recommend sitting on the floor, because as I mentioned, there are roaches. - The pool is broken. - This is a remodeled hotel and it was done at a bargain basement level. Linoleum floors made to look like wood have been put down, but you can feel them already starting to lift. They slapped up some paint without actually fixing issues with the walls. There are gaps between the baseboards and the floors (which is probably where the roaches come from). - There is a serious shortage of electrical outlets which makes it difficult to charge electronics and use them at the same time, since one of the only useable outlet is at the desk and there is only one chair. In this case, you get what you pay for. We will not return and would never recommend anyone stay there. read more

My family stayed at this hotel May 11-12, 2018. It was very clean and staff was friendly and polite. This hotel is so new that the pool has not been inspected by the county yet so it isn't open. Be sure to ask. I noticed a handicap access to the pool and modern seating that looked fun. The location is very good. Breakfast was crowded at 8:30 but it was good and the staff replenished the food and kept things tidy. We recommend this hotel and would stay here again. No elevators. All and all a nice Hotel, comfortable Full sized bed. Staying in a queen suite, but this is a full. Still comfortable though. Pillows are soft, Linens are soft. Updated look is very nice and clean cut. The shower is amazing. Waterfall style shower head. The organic Aloe Vera shampoo and conditioner are epic!! I am looking up the company to order it to ship to my house. My hair shined with one wash more than any other brand I have EVER bought off a shelf at a store. Only down side is, the black out curtains aren't long enough to keep the sun at bay. Was woke up earlier than I wanted to be by nature. Booked for a night only; got there super late, probably around 1am & the woman at the desk checked us in quickly. She was very friendly & helpful. Our room was surprisingly very modern & very clean. Wooden floors, white furniture, mounted TV. They had organic soap products which was a nice touch. They offered free breakfast, free wifi, & had a pool open for the guests. We left for Universals the next day, which was like 12 min away. Great place for the price ! read more

I booked this hotel online and wasn't really sure what to expect. The outside is deceiving as it looks like it's just another motel, but I found the lobby to be modern and welcoming, the staff was great and check-in was super quick. The room appeared clean and was comfortable enough for us just passing through for the night. I didn't care for the location because I prefer to stay away from all of the tourist traps and souvenir shops, but the price was great and there was a frree breakfast which made our morning a lot easier. This place is absolutely disgusting!!! We were infested with bed bugs! When we complained to the front desk they just offered us new sheets and said that's all they could do for us! The front desk was did not seem surprised by any of this which means it probably happens a lot, especially after reading other reviews of roaches and maggots. My friend was covered in bites from laying in the bed for about 20 minutes. Highly recommend holiday inn right down the street! New beds & very friendly staff! Pros: Staff was great all around. Price. Great breakfast and laid out well for crowds. Location is good. Close to parks and a lot of restaurant options close by. Free parking. Comfortable beds. Good shower pressure. Cons: There were tiny flies/gnats in the room, we killed about 20 during our stay. The TV stations are odd and the TV station numbers are a mystery. There is a lot of empty space in the room they could use for more hanging area for clothes or to put another counter (or luggage rack) there for suitcases. The bathroom is HORRIBLE for putting on makeup, not good lighting at all. It is loud, but this is a motel and doors and windows are out to the parking lot. read more

This hotel seems as if it's been newly renovated. All appliances in the room were new. The rooms were extremely clean. The check in and out process was quick and easy. Breakfast is also served in the mornings. It is located in area with several business such as stores and restaurants are within walking distance. It was also a great value for what you get. I really appreciated the attempt to modernize the hotel, and make it more urban. Unfortunately, it just didn't meet my expectations. My room was on the other side of the property. I felt totally disconnected. The room itself was very cold and mute despite the updates. You can tell it was an old motel like a motel8 previously. Overall, the service of all of the staff was exceptional. Everyone was warm and inviting. Breakfast is served cafeteria style in a common area. The food was subpar. Also, there is a small play area for your little ones to pass time. It's nothing fancy, but it was a nice touch. read more

Let me start out by saying I can't believe the ratings on this place are real. If you like KILLING FLYS, 30 MINUTE POWER OUTAGES, LOW WATER PRESSURE, NO ROOM CLEANING (meaning no clean towels, no trash pick up) and let me add NO HOT WATER... Day one my family rented four rooms to stay for a funeral there was no water we were told they didn't have a eta when it would return. Day two the day of the funeral we had to get dressed in the dark dew to a 30 MINUTE POWER OUTAGE! When the water and power returned there was a horrible oder lingering which then turned into a swarm of small natt like flys. You can't make this stuff up ... Smh . At one point I went to the front desk to ask for more cups and was told I could only have a ration of 3 foam cups I had to tell the guy Kristhen in the front desk he can't be serious and the cups weren't coming out of his check ... He then gave me 5 when I asked for more. This place is way trash basuda for my Spanish speaking friends there is nothing "resort" about this place ! read more

New hotel opened 7 months ago. Clean rooms, and very helpful and friendly front desk staff. Bathroom is nice with raised basin sink, rain forest shower head, nice flooring, contemporary, yet inexpensive. About $145/night includes taxes and breakfast served daily from 7 AM to 9:30 AM. Nice large screen flat TV in the room, all rooms have a small microwave and refrigerator. Rooms drawers, ample shelf space. Definitely would stay here again, very close to the Disney parks, particularly Animal Kingdom. Many choices of restaurants nearby. read more
