Canceling appointments, calling patients w/o leaving messages, outdated form entry system- as a long time patient trying to bring my daughter to this practice, the process has turned me off completely & now we both need a new dentist. W/o going into personal details- non-clinical staff should be proactive and have a bed side manner too. Asking someone to treat/fix a paperwork situation that eliminates back and forth, miscommunication, or counterproductive communication, is harder than I thought it would be. I had a clinical issue as well w/ bells palsy reaction from the numbing needle when getting a filling before- so I opted to never get that again. Especially after calls, and emails to the office and no one ever called me back. I changed to cleanings only but the dental assistants arent all the same. Overall my experience over the years rounds out at a solid 3... but clerically theyre at a solid 1.8

Had a bunch of homeless people on the steps outside you get to step over too. Then they charge you 15 dollars for osha fees I've never paid at any clinic ever - it leads one to think the office isn't doing good as they say they are - they also said that they'd be getting me in by around 3 - it was 320 after I came by fifteen minutes early to do paperwork for my first time with them.

Today was very tramatic for me. Where do I begin. I had a tooth that needed to be pulled due to…read moreinfection and an exposed nerve. I went in and the assistant was very nice. She was very patient and kind. Fast forward to the extraction..... I requested an ephinephrine free medication because I am allergic. Doctor injected me and left for more than 20 mins, mind you because the anesthesia lacked epinephrine which is the component that makes the numbing last longer it wore off pretty fast. She had to inject me again and again...Okay, lets get to the tooth being pulled, one word, TRAUMA!!! She said you will feel pressure, all I felt was pain and I alerted her to the fact that I was in pain, she said it was pressure and there was nothing she could do. Okay now we get to the meat and potatoes, she isnt able to fully extract my tooth because it was on bad behavior and as a bonus a piece of her tool broke off and was stuck in with the root... So now she has her assistant call an oral surgeon because she was sure that what she couldnt remove he could... This whole time the pain is excruciating. The oral surgeons office was 20 mins from hers so I drove, blinded by the pain of the trauma done to my mouth. Now, lets compare. I get to the oral surgeon, office, beautiful, staff, attentive on another level, process pain free, the surgeon, top tier, he numbed me with no issue, he extracted the remaining root of the tooth along with the piece of a gift Dr Wolfson left in my mouth, he said you may feel pressure I felt nothinggggg, he stitched me up no pain. From the moment he injected me till I walked out pain free stress free experience.... So listen, Im not saying Dr Wolfson isnt good, maybe she is, that was not my experience.... and the bedside manner needs to be worked on as well, maybe she was having a rough day today. BUT... im now traumatized once again of the dentists office.... The oral surgeon was much more pleasant.

I arrived early at 12:30 for my 1pm appt. because I suspected there would be forms to fill out. They handed me a tablet that needed a charge, but I got it done in low energy mode. There were 2 people before me and 5 came in after me. They were ALL called back before me! So after waiting 45 min. I asked what was going on and they assured me it would just be a few more minutes. 5 minutes later I was ushered back for a series of 13 X-rays that were painful and I'm not a wimp. I have a high tolerance to pain. Then back to the 2nd room and waited another 20 minutes! The tech that came in introduced herself from over my right shoulder. Never saw her face. She put a bib on me and poked around for a minute & looked at my X-rays & said I would need 2 crowns on "3 & 15" but that wouldn't happen today, this would just be a cleaning today. So I waited another 10 minutes. (by now it's 2:50) and another tech comes in to announce (over my right shoulder) that we're out of time so the cleaning will have to wait for the next appt. I said "I think we're done here - raise the chair please." And as I was getting up I was instructed to return to the reception area for check out. I knew this would rob me of another 15minutes so I quietly walked out. My appointment was with Dr. Juan Loyola and I never saw him. All the staff were women - not that there's anything wrong with that but they were over booked and I cannot recommend this practice to ANYONE!

I needed four top front crowns due to a medical issue. Very noticeable place to have on your teeth and very expensive even with insurance. My judgement was off when I went to Access Dental for the sheer fact that they were on both of my dental insurance plans list and I needed the work to be covered as much as possible financially. Do not let a dentist being on your insurance list make you think they are a good dentist. Look what this dentist had made for me and allowed me to walk out his door expecting me to be happy with his work. After a go around with Delta Dental and Access Dental, I ended up having them replaced within 6 months after him thinking these were a product of his cosmetic expertise. When I voiced my concerns, i was led to believe I needed to suck it up and this is his best. What was I asking for, perfection?! This was not only ugly to have in my mouth but I also had a new "lisp". Take it from someone who has experienced this arrogant dentist that thinks he's a cosmetic dentist. What really shock me the staff believes she knows everything and never get this issue resolve showing they don't care about customers but making money. They tell me I can come in at 8 am so they woke me up and now I got to jump up and get dressed and run there if I want to be seen. Made appointments got call next day to from hygienist to schedule it earlier we go threw dates and times and I let her know what I do and cant leave work till 530 but she apparently doesn't work on Fridays i assume from the conversation we had. So against my better judgment I say fine let's do Thursday at 330. I had to clear this with my leadership to dismiss my class 2 hrs early and try to make it there. I'm coming from Columbia area so traffic I call tell them this and tell them I'm on the way. I arrived late of course around 340 or so and get told after all that unfortunately it's too late to be seen. I just short changed my students one day, lost some money off my check cause I left early just to be told unfortunately I can't be seen. I never wanted that day she acted as if Friday just wasn't an option. Front desk asked me if I wanted to reschedule. No thank you. I wish I didn't cause I really liked Dr Levy but it seems like I need to start looking into finding a new dentists preferably one that operates on a Friday cause Brooklyn Park dental definitely does not.

Despite that, this is the only medical provider I've ever seen where if you don't confirm an appointment, they cancel it without even notifying you (though they'll call and text repeatedly asking you to confirm). The first time this happened was December of last year. I explained that I already struggle with dental anxiety and take a sedative before visits, which makes last-minute cancellations especially difficult. Instead of understanding, Dr. F responded by saying many patients have state insurance and around the holidays "money is tight," so they cancel unconfirmed appointments to fill slots. Not only was this offensive, but it also felt like a baseless assumption about me and other patients. They promised to "flag" my account so it wouldn't happen again. Multiple family appointments with no issue after that. Fast forward to today: I left work early, showed up for my 1:00 appointment (after waiting outside 20 minutes while the office was closed for lunch), only to be told once again, "Oh no, you didn't confirm, so your appointment was cancelled." No call. No text. No respect for my time. I immediately cancelled all future appointments for myself and my family. I've never had a healthcare provider require confirmation to keep an appointment, especially when I already confirm at the time of booking and track everything in my calendars. Most offices simply charge a no-show fee if you miss--it's fair and professional. Here, however, patients who show up on time are punished because they didn't jump through an extra hoop. I had even referred extended family to this office, but after this experience, I wouldn't recommend them to anyone. The lack of professionalism, disregard for patients, and tone-deaf policies are absolutely unacceptable.
