Outstanding recommendation for the good folks at GreenTex Windows! After 23 years in our house, it was time to replace the original metal framed windows that the builder put in. We never liked these, and it was time for a serious upgrade. After doing a lot of research we selected 3 candidate companies to explore and GreenTex was easily the one at the top of our list. We liked the fact that they are family owned and place a high value on integrity and honesty. Our first experience was with the sales consultant, Bill. Bill was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything and address all our questions. There was no high pressure or rush to make a decision (unlike other companies!!) and he did everything he could to help us meet our budget objectives while maintaining a high standard of the final look & functionality of each window. We went with their vinyl offering and he walked us through all our options. In the end, we knew exactly what we would be getting, how they would operate, look, and enhance our home. Both my wife and I were really impressed with the company from that moment on and we signed up. Next up was our construction lead, Dave. Dave was super friendly and came out to take exact measurements of each window and re-reviewed everything with us to make sure that there were no questions left unanswered. During his time here, we decided to make a few tweaks to our selections and GreenTex accommodated us at every turn. Dave also explained the timetable and gave us a good estimate of what to expect as far as the actual install process was concerned. After this, the window order was submitted, and we sat back expectantly waiting for our installation. Several weeks later we were advised that the window order had been delivered to their warehouse and we agreed upon a start date. The morning of our install, the crew arrived on-time and got straight to work. It's always a bit nervous providing strangers with complete access to your house, but Damien, Azan, Colt & Andy were the best crew we could have hoped for. The quality of the windows is one thing, but the quality of the crew is equally important. They were professional, courteous, and maintained the high integrity that we entrusted to GreenTex from the beginning. These gents were exceptional from start to finish. The windows are great, but the workmanship of the install was superior. Side note... don't listen to the "F.U.D." from the big-name window companies; the removal and install was done perfectly. We have a lot of brick work and GreenTex never touched our bricks and replaced/resurfaced the mortar. The windows themselves exceeded our expectations. The build quality is amazing, and they operate smoothly and are consistent from one window to the next: no product variation. They also look fantastic both inside the house as well as from the curb. Our neighbors love the way our house looks and the new windows have raised the bar on curb appeal! Once they were finished, Dave followed back up with us. "Do not sign or submit the final payment until you have looked over everything and are 100% satisfied". They go out of their way to make sure you are happy from start to finish. Let's face it, having new windows installed is a significant investment. You want to make sure that everything is done right because you live with the results. GreenTex goes out of their way to make sure it is all done "right"! Completely satisfied. Highly Recommended! ... and as always... EDIT: This review has been updated. I am happy to report that I have had a positive change in spirit after meeting with Graeme, the owner of the company, who wanted to work to make things right. We got together and discussed how we could move forward with both parties feeling good about this project. He listened and he understood that a mistake on their end caused a handful of grief - so for that I am grateful. It shows that he cares about his company and his work. GreenTex Siding and Windows is a team of folks that want to get the job done right. Previous Review: Buyer Beware!!! These guys got the measurements wrong on a replacement door, and everything since then has been a nightmare!!! I sent emails asking about the measurements only to not get a response for over 2 weeks. Since the measurements were never confirmed between the person who took the measurements and the project manager, the wrong door was ordered. I have now been waiting with these folks for over 5 weeks for this door and it has ruined the timing and plans to move into our new place. I have had to make arrangements with my current rental for a month to month now - this door has created a whirlwind of a mess. To say that I'm upset about how unprofessional this whole experience has been would be an understatement. The amount of time wasted with this company has been one of the most disappointing experiences I have ever been part of. It has completely sucked out the joy of moving into our first new home. I would avoid these people like the plague!!! Find any other company in Austin to help you out as these folks will only throw you into a hole that only seems to go deeper. If they were willing to help cover the various expenses they have now created by not doing this correctly the first time, I may have a change in spirit. I was dreading replacing our windows because everyone I talked to said it was a huge mess. Well, I just said goodbye to the Greentex crew who did our windows yesterday and today. It was painless!!! The crew, Colt Azan Dave were so polite, professional, and hard-working, all I can say is Thanks. They arrived in time, explained everything to us, and went right to work. Run. There are so many other companies in the area that will treat you like you should be treated. We spent tens of thousands of dollars with them (fully paid). We had to have them replace a window that was broken from our lawn service. On Day 30 after invoice, we get an email that they put a Lien on our house. We waited over 6 months for this one window. In addition, Graeme, who is extremely unprofessional and unethical, has been one of the least responsive business owners I've ever met. Oh, and we are still waiting for them to fix their really messy finish out job on our (still broken) patio door. Just call someone else. Anyone else. read more

Graeme and Greentex came highly recommended, and I am extremely happy with this company and all the work done on my home. I needed some windows and several doors replaced, along with all the siding. They were very prompt in replying to my request for a quote and worked with me to stay within my budget. Everyone was very professional, and the work was exceptional. Additionally, the quality of the products is amazing....energy star certified beautiful windows; triple locking Provia doors and durable Hardie siding. I feel that my choice for this company and its products will be enjoyed for many years to come!! A front door is truly the "welcome to my home" and I am thrilled with my choice. It's absolutely gorgeous and will provide years of little to no upkeep since it's fiberglass. Here in Texas, that's huge! The attention to detail was also very appreciated. We just had four windows and a sliding door replaced by GreenTex windows. We could not have been more pleased with the quality of the windows and the professionalism of those who installed them. I've waited to give a secondary review because I wanted to see how these windows would do through a winter and Texas summer. So far, we've had a fairly cold winter and so far, a hot summer, even for Texas standards. I want to tell you how well these windows have done! Last October, I had the guys from Greentex Windows come out and install new windows in my almost 50 year old home. My wife and I have been so much more comfortable this year than ever before! There was no cold breeze blowing thru our home during the worst of the winter storms and our home is so much more comfortable so far this summer, with outside (thank you, Lord!) of 100 plus temperatures! During the winter and this summer we have been keeping our thermostat 2-3 degrees different from last year. We were able to set the thermostat at 67 last winter and 79 this summer. My electricity bills are as low as they've ever been, thanks to the FANTASTIC WINDOWS. Noises from outside are greatly muffled... unfortunately, we can't actually HEAR the rain falling as we used to, but that is okay... our utility bills are lower and we're more comfortable.
