Thank you Window World. Thus a long process ended happily and positively! We contacted no less than six window companies to replace 21 windows (the entire house). Window World Austin was BY FAR the most engaged, direct and customer focused. The salesman, Jose, came by for an initial and a follow-up call. Then he came out to measure - this was when his magic shined (as we found out later). He said "our installers are professional and customer service is priority." He offered me two options and gave us just enough info for us to make an informed decision. He said two months AND IT WAS EXACTLY. We got a call from customer rep, Kathy, who just continued the positive experience. Had to work around the holidays on timing and a couple logistic issues but it was not a problem for Kathy. ALWAYS RESPONSIVE. Now time for install. I was told "Bruce and his team (Anthony, Bairon, Juan & Jair) would arrive in a specified timeframe and be on site for two days. The arrived on-time and left the house as promised and clean as a whistle. Also Jose's measurements proved to be SPOT-ON as the windows fit perfectly and as promised. We followed the instructions given us and on arrival Bruce and the team went to work. The team did take over quickly and we admittedly were slow to vacate so their music and back-and-forth did cause us consternation. However, in all my years of home ownership and repairs and renovations I have never had a crew who was so focused on a good job and genuinely enjoyed the task at hand and their coworkers. I can't say enough great things about the amazing experience we had with Window World!! We just finished replacing all 55 of the 30-year old aluminum windows in our home with the very high-quality Window World ones. They are beautiful!! Many of our windows face south. Our breakfast nook and kitchen were made almost unlivable by the amount of heat that our old windows let in. We have had many mid to high 90 degree days since our new windows were installed, and our breakfast nook and kitchen have become our favorite places to be, as our Window World windows keep all that heat out completely. Our entire house stays much cooler now. Braden, our salesperson, was extremely professional and not high pressure at all!! Unlike some sales people, he understands all technical details of the windows, and the process of installing them. He used to be a window installer himself, and it really shows. He took very, very accurate measurements, so all our 55 windows fit perfectly when they arrived. As he looked at every window for the estimate, he explained what would need to happen for each one, such as caulking, masonry, etc. The price for all 55 of our windows was 1/2 the price of the 3 other companies we got quotes from. The quality, and look, of the windows is fantastic! After the installation was complete, Braden came by and looked at each window. He tested them for ease of raising and lowering them, as well as tilting them in and out. We found about 12-15 that were too tight, and he sent a crew over the next day to take care of them. They did a tremendous job of making them absolutely correct. I can't say enough positive things about the crew either. They arrived exactly when they said they would each day. Wes was our foreman, and did a good job of communicating with us on the first day. Bruce was the foreman-on-site of our job (was there every day), and he did a SUPERB job! He answered all the myriad of questions we had in a very professional and friendly manner. It took a 4-5 man crew 3 1/2 days to install all 55 windows. Bruce was very easy to communicate with. All the men on the crew were very friendly and easy to communicate with. Each crew member was very proficient and knew exactly what to do. The men got along very well with each other. It was a very happy crew. In my opinion, a happy crew does a good job. They had large tarps which kept the construction mess away from our carpets and furniture. Even with the tarps, they thoroughly vacuumed all the carpets and wiped down our belongings at the end of each day. They were very respectful and careful with our belongings. We were very impressed that WW's installation inspector came by twice just to be sure that things were being done properly, and to our satisfaction. We are extremely pleased with every aspect of our experience with Window World. It could not have been any better. read more

Recently, we had one of our arch windows fail. The fog between the glass returned. I thought they would come out and look at it. No, they asked which window and said they would get it ordered. Then, when the window came in, they called and scheduled an install day. The installers showed up early, removed the glass, and replaced it. It was simple and easy. All at no cost. I am very happy with the decision to go with Window World. We have used them on other homes in other states. We just had Window World windows installed. We already had a couple of Renewal by Anderson windows installed a few years ago. The windows are very similar even though the Anderson windows were more than double in price. Renewal by Anderson simply caulked the windows in place. Window World did it right and used mortar. We got a bid from Jose from Window World Austin last June but for various reasons we did not follow through with it. When we called them back in November, they still honored their bid with us and got us 0% financing. We are thrilled with our new windows and with the difference it has made in our house temperature. Like many others, my experience with Window World has been exemplary in every way. We had nine beautiful windows installed. One had the wrong size grid but they fixed it without delay. Today I somehow yanked a window off its track, called after hours, and the OWNER , Mr. Coen (Cohen?) came out in about half an hour, diagnosed the problem, made sure the window was locked for the night, and said a repair person would be out to finish up in the morning . That's not all. I mentioned some of my electrical outlets were not working and he took a look at those as well, told me what the problem was and what needed to be done! I would like to post this review as a cautionary tale for others considering this company. I would normally pin what I'm going to unpack below on the sales person directly, however, he mentioned in multiple texts with me the directive he was receiving was coming from his management. So, I'm going to pin this on Austin's WW location as a whole. Right at the end of May, we had WW come out to do a consulatation - I think the third or fourth in a line of multiple of vendor consultations. The sales agent was nice, obviously knowledgeable of the industry and other competitors and respected we weren't first time window buyers and cut to the chase. He provided us our quote for 40+ windows and it was fairly competitive but a little high, in my opinion. At the end of the session, he mentioned, "Our prices are going up on 7/1/24 so you need to make a decision before then on this quote." Immediate red flag. Window World came to our house seven years ago (we didn't pull the trigger at that time) and the quote was good for a full year. Now, this quote is only good for ~35 days? Others who gave me quotes said it was good for 60+ days. I felt this was an attempt to pressure us to make a decision. We still had other window vendors coming out and still hadn't engaged with the bank yet because we didn't know how much we were going to need to ask for so this felt like it was accelerating our clock. This created an unnecessary high pressure environment and made me sour on what up to that point I thought was a good experience. We ultimately decided to move forward with WW and started our journey getting the loan, however as I mentioned, I thought the quote was high compared to others we had received. I asked for some relief and the sales rep knocked about 3% off "if you pay 100% up front before installation." What?? Absolutely not. Do the work and confirm the quality THEN you get your full payment. I wouldn't have minded 25% but not 100%. He said he was "sure I can get my manager to do just 50%." Great, maybe next time lead with that. Beyond that, everything went smoothly until the bank asked for a couple of other items which pushed our close date out to first week of July. I engaged with the sales person to let them know, we want to move forward, we'll just need to settle up after 7/1, unfortunately - given this is out of control of both of us, can we move forward with the quote provided. Despite multiple texts requesting to keep the original quote, his management told him that if we go past 6/30, our quote will be significantly increased due to the price changes. I find this practice to be pretty unacceptable and ultimately, this unwillingness to be flexible would mean less profit in WW's pocket. Moral of the story - this company is only interested in profit and not pivoting creatively to help you out in situations you can't control (e.g. bank delays). We ended up going with another local company and happily paid more out of pocket than the quote WW shared with us. So, not only did WW not get our money, the sales person didn't get compensated on a large project and we spent more money with a competitor for what I 100% feel is a better product than what I was shown during our consultation (and from what I'm reading online from others' experiences). In hindsight, this all worked out better for us but I still feel compelled to share our experience for others coming behind us. So, YMMV with WW but I can tell you, I feel like we dodged a bullet here. To WW management - maybe reset your tone and stance on these unique situations. You just lost tens of thousands of dollars of business because you couldn't honor a quote for a few days past 6/30. Update: Figured I'd address the passive aggressive response below with a couple of points: - As a matter of fact, there are several commercial establishments over the years we don't frequent any longer due to service or superfluous pricing. I'll continue to utilize this medium to address all experiences so other potential customers have a complete picture of what the experience may be like - Thirty-seven days really isn't a lot of time when you're juggling together multiple bids and need to wait until the very end to understand what your exact financing ask from the bank will be (not to mention we have other responsibilities competing for our time limiting when we can meet installers). And I wouldn't say the bank dragged their feet, they moved rather quickly and we actually closed onsite at the bank this morning. - There were no financing issues - only a deadline issue we experienced with just one vendor out of six bids - WW. The implication below is that the average buyer who doesn't do WF's financing just has $40K of liquidity laying around and should have been able to pay up before 7/1, then I guess, pay ourselves back? We did look at the financing option with WF - the interest rate jumps to over 26% after 15 mos. No. - You are correct - *none* of the terms were in our favor read more

Jory and South came by to caulk some hard to reach windows (that weren't necessarily in WW's initial SOW) to ensure there wasn't any more moisture that seeped in after all of these storms that have been happening. Both very professional and attentive to what needed to be done. Checked in along the way to make sure all of the requests I called about were addressed. A very stress-free experience! Window World was able to provide high quality windows for a fair price. The crew installed 15 windows and a sliding door in a day and a half and did a great job cleaning up after themselves. The only downside was having to wait about 16 weeks for our windows to arrive after ordering them, but it was worth the wait. read more

I searched on Yelp for window replacement companies and most of them were just a handful except for WW. I gave them a call and they came over, walked around the house and gave me a written estimate. I then told them that I was also having a very big national company come over and give me a bid as well. They wished me luck and hoped to hear from me. The national chain, as expected, quoted me 4x the price that WW did. But the big chain said that was with 20% discount and if I signed right there and then, they would throw in an additional 5%. I dislike those tactics and makes you constantly think of what their markup must be before their "for you, right now" discount. Went with WW and they just finished up yesterday. Very professional, brought in their protective canvas sheets, covered some of my personal items near the windows. For 11 windows, took them about 5 hours to take them out, spray foam the big gaps, caulk and put on covering trim. Then they swept and vacuumed the surrounding areas. The manager came by when they were 3/4 done to ask me if I was happy with the work and if I had any questions. Good work by WW. read more

If I could give 0 stars I would. Working with Window World of Austin has been an absolute nightmare. We have used them a few times before and they were great but the Austin location is horrible. It has been over 2 months and 8 service visits since the first day they arrived to install our windows and they are STILL not done! They have done a sloppy job, left my house a wreck and my driveway and yard covered in broken glass and trash, and have shown up numerous times without the proper equipment or materials to finish the install. Brent or Brett, the manager, has even come out to take detailed notes of what exactly is needed to complete the job and they still showed up without the proper materials. I reviewed and got quotes from several businesses to replace windows for my whole house. I decided to go with WW of Austin. First of all, their products are affordable and come with good warranty. Their sales team is honest and do not oversell -- they did not jack up the price to an unreasonable value and give you a 40% discount! I called several window companies regarding a leaking window. Window World was the only company that took the time to listen to me. They requested pictures to assess the issue and then Seth called me back. Based on what I told him, and the pictures sent, he said he'll send over Cody to take a look. At that point I thought it would be the normal interaction of someone comes out, gives estimate and then we schedule an appointment. The next thing he said blew me away, he said it looks like it might just need to be resealed and, if that's the case, they will reseal the window at no cost to me! Cody came by, confirmed that it only needed to be resealed and had it wrapped up in 30 minutes at no charge. Whenever you talk to people in Austin and surrounding areas, you will consistently run into people talking about how great Window World is. Every person from Window World who stepped into my home was professional and competent; Carl, however, went above and beyond, and I greatly appreciate his professionalism and skill. He asked if I would be willing to wait the weekend to finish the trim work, he showed me the trim he had and said he knew he could get some that would better match the rest of the existing trim in my house. He could have finished my job in one trip and instead made multiple trips, went to extra effort on his part, and as a result my house looks better and more polished. After providing a prompt and reasonable estimate, the product manager failed to provide photos I requested of windows similar to what we agreed would be installed. After three days with no response, I applied and was approved for financing on the Window World website, and I immediately called to schedule the work. The product manager was unavailable and the receptionist who took my call repeatedly talked over me (asking for a good number to call me back) when I tried to express my frustrating customer service experience so far. I was happy to pay Window World almost $7,000 for new windows and to wait 12-14 weeks for the install, but between the product manager's failure to follow through and the receptionist's rudeness, I am going elsewhere. read more

I can not believe the difference our new windows made. I knew our old windows were terrible but the transformation was beyond my expectations. The windows are such high quality and are simply stunning. For the double hung windows, do you want to open them from the top down? (We have cats and dogs that like to escape). Done. Move the included outdoor screen from top to bottom depending on which side is open? Just slide it. Fold down either top or bottom pane inside for cleaning? 2 clicks and slide. LIFETIME warranty for things like lawnmower thrown rocks or baseball loving kiddos. Done. We had another estimate with THE most advertised (and also most expensive) company and I'm so glad we chose Window World instead. The WW windows really stand up to the other guys "proprietary windows", at less than half the price and the service is exceptional. Huge thanks to Matt who measured, ordered and was always available for my random questions. Also the crew who installed them did an amazing job and cleaned up so well afterward that the windows were all we could talk about. We are replacing the rest of our house with WIndow World windows. Window World has rescued our business and we'll be calling them again to finish our remaining windows. I won't hesitate to recommend them. **** WARNING: You get what you pay for - and then a whole bunch of stuff you don't want. Like: Caulk all over the front of the house where the workers wiped it off their hands. Caulk smashed into area rugs in several places because the installers stepped in it. Big splotches of spray foam stuck to the concrete patio in several places outside. Giant pieces of vinyl and clumps of spray foam in the pool. Installers who don't wear masks. WW came out in July 2020 to give us a bid. They'd done work for our friends who liked their windows, so we were an easy sale. 50% of our $23k order paid, and we were told it'd be 8-10 wks and they'd call us to schedule. At 11 weeks, WE called them. They didn't have all of our windows. In November WE called them again and set an install date because all of our windows "should" be in by then. Our first installation (it should've been our only) was in mid November. One arched set of windows didn't fit. The installers shoved the set that didn't fit (because they'd already taken out the originals) into the space and set it with spray foam. We were told the manager would be coming out to template the windows to make sure they were ordered correctly for next time. They'd call us to schedule a time to come out. Now, at this point, we have the caulk on the house, in the rugs, etc., AND we have a windowsill that they left crooked - and I mean it was a full 1/2 inch away from wall ON ONE SIDE. We have torn screens that they didn't have the material with them to replace. And we hadn't ever had them call when they said they would. So, we waited. And waited. And, finally in January we call to ask them WTH?!? SURPRISE!!! Without telling us a thing, or re-measuring!, they'd ordered another set and they were expecting it in next week. Would we like to go ahead and schedule that install? So, on 1/29/21 they show up again and the window doesn't fit. AND they don't have the material to fix the screens either. They managed to figure out a way to straighten the windowsill. But they say they're going to measure the windows again right then, and they'll make us a priority. Right. April comes and WE call again to find out WTH is going on. The windows "should" be on the truck we're told. On 4/14/21 - a full NINE months later, our windows are finally installed by 2 guys who didn't wear masks at all and left a mess. And we had to remind them to do the screens. So, WARNING. The windows are nice. BUT! You'll be repainting every single windowsill and the drywall around every window in your house. And you may have to scrub caulk off the front of your house, re-do your cooldecked patio, fish spray foam and vinyl out of your pool, and cut clumps of caulk out of your area rugs. Oh! and make every single phone call. I take that back. They called for the payment, of course. read more
