I cannot fathom how incredibly awesome this company is. Our neighbor has an extremely loud pool pump which was causing us a lot of grief. As in we simply stopped being in our living area at all during the day. Could have been better. I hired Austin Sliding door and Window for two separate tasks and unrelated orders at my house. One was to repair a broken glass on a window, the other to repair some latches and coils. It took 3 months to complete the job because we were waiting for a couple small parts. I asked them to come fix the glass that was broken and exposed and Sarah in the office refused to send their subcontractor out more that one time. Meaning I had to also wait 3 months for them to fix the broken glass because they would only do all work in the same trip. When the parts came in they would not do part of the job because there were shutters in the way which I elected not to remove at the time. We agreed that they would not do work on any windows with shutters and just charge me for the parts they had ordered. Surprisingly I was told that if I do not have the windows with the shutters worked on now I would not have the option to hire Austin sliding door and window repair in the future to do the same job. When I received the invoice they were severely up charging me for parts so I researched online what the given cost were for each item was and also asked what my hourly rate for labor was. I asked to see receipts for the parts that were ordered. This was refused. Ultimately when I demanded receipts they refunded me for parts and took them back. All and all I had some of my windows fixed but it took 3 months. Maybe its the pandemic excuse for the supply chain, but again the customer service was lacking. As soon as the job was completed I was bombarded with 3 voice mails for payment on the first day as if I were somehow delinquent. 2 stars. read more

If you want a company that makes excuses, doesn't show up when they say they will, performs subpar work, and doesn't clean up after themselves, then by golly, this is the company for you. Took them nearly four months to complete our small project of replacing the glass on 10 or 11 windows, breaking the trim on at least four of them, and leaving the broken pieces BEHIND all over the ground below. When they finally finished, I was so sick of dealing with them that I didn't complain or try to get our money back. To me, it wasn't worth it. We need a few more windows replaced, and I look forward to calling another Austin business for help. read more

We had Jeff come out and assess our large Anderson Sliding door as well as two Anderson casement windows whose cranks had stripped. We have a pier and beam construction house and over time the opening has become out of square and the doors had become hard to operate, so difficult that we damaged the lock. Jeff and his team replaced the lock, trimmed the doors, and installed larger wheels. This resulted in smooth operation, I never knew that sliding doors should be so easy to operate. Jeff also noticed that an earlier repair attempt removed a piece at the bottom of one of the doors to try and give more clearance but that this piece is used to seal the door. I ordered the part on my own and Jeff came back out to install it at no extra charge. For the casement windows Jeff and his team replaced two crank assemblies and re-adjusted the windows so that they would operate smoothly and hopefully not strip in the future. They did a great job arriving on time, being friendly and professional, and also left behind a clean job site. read more

My 30 year-old, high end, Pella sliding glass door finally became difficult to open and close. Brad came to the house, quickly diagnosed the problem and sent a quote within a few hours. BTW, replacing a door of same quality - custom size, wood frame, steel exterior, millwork grade interior - would have cost ~$8000. In a few days, two expert technicians arrived - friendly, cheerful, and efficient. They were happy to show me the construction of the door and how the repair was done. They replaced the rollers, adjusted the door and lock mechanism. It now rolls on its track like ball bearings. And there's more: I mentioned that the sliding screen panel sometimes rolled closed by itself. The younger of the techs wasn't familiar with the screen panel mechanism. However, the other gentleman had seen this model before. He simply showed me the release tab on the screen panel, which when pressed while closing the screen, locks it into place. This is the benefit of experience and the willingness to take time to show and explain. I am thrilled with the results and delighted with the reasonable price I happily paid. read more
