LIVING SITUATION: I live in an apartment with no pets or children so the reason I originally sought out a cleaning service was to have someone come in to clean the bathrooms. After doing extensive research--I'm talking like I called pretty much every cleaning service in Charlotte you could find on yelp--I landed on Enjoy Maids and I'm glad I did. COST: For $59.50, I have the same "maid" come once every two weeks for 2 hours. I work from home so it's easy for me to work in the office while she cleans. Augriem is our "maid" who is super friendly and fast - which really helps me justify why I spent ~$120 a month. Before she arrives, I write out the areas I would like her to clean as well as an "if you have extra time" list and she typically gets through both! Plus, she tolerates me with my micromanaging lists. Typical tasks include deep cleaning of 2 full baths, mopping, vacuuming, dusting of a 1200+ sq ft apartment. HOURLY: Through my research of all cleaning services in Charlotte, not many offer this flexibility to do hourly, most were asking for $100+ for the entire apartment, and I just don't need all of that! By having Augriem here biweekly, we can "rotate" the areas that she cleans. For example, one week on top of the typical bathroom/vacuuming she does, I had her clean and sweep up our patio and another week I had her clean the windows. Stuff that you and I will avoid until we "have time" which let's be honest -- we never will! :) CUSTOMER SERVICE: What I also really like about Enjoy Maids is that they have an online chat service so it's really easy for me just to go to www.enjoymaids.com and IM with one of their staff members to either reschedule, or track down my "maid's" ETA. This is really handy because while they try to stay close to your appointment time, they do have a 4-hour window and sometimes will come 30 minutes-2 hours later than your scheduled appointment time, so it's easy to check in on their status for the day with their IM service. Using EnjoyMaids has allowed me to get my weekends back, enjoying my time off to spend with family and friends -- not stuck all day in the house cleaning! Highly recommend to anyone who values their free time and enjoys a clean apartment.
