I paid my bill with a check by mail 2 years ago. That check clearaed the bank along with the same check # for $7,000 that was cashed at a bank in Alabama. The Gville Water company denied that the check was taken from their customer service. They said the check was stolen out of the USPO mailbox at Orchard PArk. If that is truw, would the robber then put my check back in an envelope and mail it to G'ville Water???? So now I only pay them with a certified check and occassionaly a credit card. The Greenville Police opened a file on this stolen check, and I never heard from them-not surprizing, they are busy arresting criminals, and my $7,000 was just white collar crime. read more

The worst customer service system. They do not communicate and just want to charge you more money, not do the customer service. read more

ive dealt with them over 15 ywars and now they have dropped the ball and is trying to charge my family over 1000 bill and is giving us a few days to pay. I wish we had another option to receive water because this is outrageous and they are not going to admit their wrong doings. now I have to go to court. not satisfied at all read more

They are sneaky. You have to watch the billing very carefully. We moved out a year ago. I called to make sure my balance was paid in full. I was told that it was. A year later I am now getting a bill saying I have a balance due of $29 that if I do not pay will get turned into collections. Needless to say I was shocked. I am going to gladly pay this balance, however, I feel like the customer service when I called was not very clear because I was told that balance was paid in full. I was not told that I would need to watch for another balance that might sneak up on me. read more

I love Greenville waters customer service team. They are all so helpful. They run their company by the books, fair and just. They try to work with you if they can. They also do a lot to help the community as well. Our water is the best quality I've had after living in a few different places in North Carolina. Thankful to have the best water there is for a quality price. read more

I wouldn't even give them one star. We have a pipe that's evidently cracked or broken and water is flooding our driveway and yard. It looks like a geyser spurting water. After several phone calls we've had the water men come out three times but NOTHING has been done to stop the water! Now our concrete driveway has cracked the entire width and I hate to think how much water is seeping under the foundation of our house! I just called GWS again and the person promised someone would be out to fix the problem. Now GWS will have to pay to have our driveway repaired. read more

GWS billing "system" is anything but. WORST.BILLING.SYSTEM.EVER. Think 80's technology and snail mail, and you've got it.

Greenville Water System has spent much time and money revamping their building and landscaping but their website is not only a mess... it's non-existent. Trying to pay my bill online is impossible... get with it guys.... this is a mess! read more

I like to pay my bills online, but their system is like a crazy labyrinth. I thought I'd made a successful payment the one time I used it. Yep...until my water was turned off...nice. So, now I call every month to pay and the hold times are ridiculous. You should not have to wait on the phone 10-15 minutes to get a service rep...to pay a water bill. read more

Changing to a monthly billing cycle really hurts average consumer. For example, we used to pay $120 with 3 months cycle. Now we have to pay about $50 per month, which calculated out to over $.10 per gallon. Furthermore, we used less water then during the same period. The reclaimation charges are outrageous. read more

Worst Customer Service ever.. NO Help at all.. Basically was told that I am stuck not getting my water turned on because I know the previous Tenants of the house I am now renting.. So I either have to pay the previous Tenants bills or go without water.. WHAT A RIP OFF read more
