There was a somewhat small collection in their back refrigerator area, but we spotted some brands we hadn't tried yet. As we made our way back to the front of the store, we simply needed to check out all of the cheese offerings they have available. The worker behind the counter was simply awesome, she was really knowledgeable about all of the cheese products and let us sample whatever we wanted to try. (Worth noting: I work Deck Neck in Newark and I'm well-versed in the lunacy of double and triple parking, among other offenses.) I think even the most seasoned Ironbound drivers would lose their cool if they came here. Eventually I had to park by the Chick-fil-A and walk to/from NB. Was it worth all the hassle and inconveniences? No. The layout is very clean (sterile) and they didn't offer any refrigeration and most of the beer selection seemed to be cans. A nice selection of wine as well as some odd/offbeat liquors and it was my first time encountering soju and that stuff is good. Real good. Real potent. Yet, instead of honoring the displayed price, they refused and said it was a "mistake." To make matters worse, they told me I should come back tomorrow and argue it further, and maybe they would honor the $24.70 price then. I explained that I live half an hour away and work, and I simply don't have the time to make another trip to the store because of a pricing mistake that was theirs. I honestly cannot understand this level of customer service. If your store has an item clearly marked $24.70, a customer brings the discrepancy to your attention, and your manager personally verifies that the item is marked $24.70, why should the customer have to come back another day and fight for the price? It's not about the $15 difference. It's about how you treat your customers and taking responsibility for your own mistake.
