Easy to order, easy delivery and no hassle!! Food was very tasty! We had everything from the chicken parm bites(killed 2 trays) to deconstructed cannoli dip(very excellent filling) to filet mignon crostinis(also eaten until extinction) to pork belly skewers(my favorite). Do not overlook this hidden gem, had a great grilled chicken, roasted pepper, and fresh mozzarella, on a real Italian roll! Chicken was pilled three breasts high and was to die for! Stumbling on this place was a happy accident, as I put Fairway Market into my GPS thinking I was being routed to an actual Fairway Market, not Cafasso's. Upon realizing my mistake I decided to just roll with it, and was pleasantly surprised to find this grocery store absolutely packed with mouthwatering prepared foods, baked goods and the like. I could've easily dropped hundreds of dollars at this store between all of the freshly prepared seafood, deli salads, fried chicken, focaccia that looked homemade. Forget it. Service was quick at the deli counter despite the rush. The ambiance was very high end, but a lot of the items were actually well priced in my opinion. I enjoyed all of my purchases, but the rotisserie chicken I purchased here was a little too overly spiced for my liking. But the produce was fresh, the homemade bread was fantastic and I loved the piece of fried chicken I tried here. If you live in the area, this is where I'd come to shop. read more

Place is fairly pricey but I can promise you, you won't find a single place with tiramisu as good as here anywhere else in a 30 minute radius of Fort Lee. The sandwiches are on the steep side considering how I can finish them in 6 bites (yes I've counted lol), but the ingredients are fresh and probably way healthier than the stuff they make in bulk at Whole Foods. I was crazy about Cafasso's and loved their lobster salad, but my last two trips have been very disappointing, Two days ago, I bought a burrata and this morning, I find it is already souring, though immediately refrigerated once I got home. The last time, I went there, I bought lobster meat and it had to be thrown out. It was not fresh. I would not have said anything about the lobster but this second disappointment has worried me about how Cafeasso's is keeping things fresh. In contrast, the steak and arancini, while a bit salty for me, are fantastic and very fresh days after purchasing and refrigerating in the same fridge, Staff are very friendly and prices are very good...I should note. read more

Came into Cafasso's, in order to pick up their delicious gelato cups. I have attached a picture of the cooler, where they house the happiness. So, look for the Bindi cooler and choose your favorite(s). Not only is the gelato ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, but you'll also have decorative glasses, afterwards. Be very careful! I bought a fresh refrigerated "vegetarian pasta fagioli soup" this past Sunday and as I was eating it I tasted something odd... looked in the bowl and hunks of pork! Not just one either. I looked in the container at the remaining soup and lo and behold more hunks of pork. Great local market with fresh produce and groceries. A friend brought me here to grab some items during my visit and I loved it! They have plenty of fresh fruits + vegetables, and a large area of prepared foods. We asked what happens to the food left over each day, and they said there's typically not food left which is impressive since there's so much. They also have your typical non-perishables and pantry items. The majority of their prices are reasonable, especially in the produce section. I went here for the first time because every other deli was closed in the area and wow so glad I came!! They have such a beautiful selection of prepared foods and everything looked so fresh. I was craving a sub so they told me to pick a bread and let them know what I wanted on my sandwich and they got right to work behind the deli. It came out exactly how I wanted and the bread was super fresh. Will absolutely be back to try more of their stuff! read more

Deli guys are always working on their toes getting orders out as fast as possible, appreciate the work ethic! Amazing place. It is a family supermarket that has amazing selection and the freshest of everything.

This place seemed LEGIT AWESOME. not sure about the bad reviews I've read. I have only been here once; my friend brought me, as she frequents it a lot. We got the fresh lobsters, some artichokes, dark chocolate and some strawberries and the ready-made shrimp salad (pictured). The place was pretty packed, kind of hard to social distance. It has all sort of gourmet items, which is pretty sweet. I could tell that prices were on the higher end, but probably because of the overall area and the nature of the store. Service was good, we were in and out and had no issues overall. I think it has potential. One thing I'll say about the prepared foods--I used to eat them often and thought they presented themselves as "healthier" or overall better options. I have changed my overall outlook--the items just end up sitting there and therefore, they're not fresh or really all that great. The shrimp salad looked good but it ended up being just a waste of approx $9. I'd skip the "fresh prepared" foods sections all together. read more

Like many negative reviews here, the service of some employees here (most likely those whom work here longest) are the worst. We were there on Saturday evening, it wasn't too busy since the rain. My husband wanted some food from the prepared food counter, so I waited there for my turn. There were 3 people in front of us which being help. When one of the employee (very tall and in mid fifty) finished helping a lady, he walked past us (but not stopping or say anything). At that time my husband was next to me and pulling me away. He was upset and angry, cause he saw the guy looking at us but chose not to acknowledge us. It's been more or less like this during the last few times we were shopping here but this time was the worst and made my husband doesn't want to come back anymore. We understand that they have been in business long time and the management doesn't mind not having our business (or any non Caucasian's business), but in a long run it will hurts the business. My wife and I have been coming to Fairway Market for many years. The produce and food is very good and they have a wide variety of organic products available. I also really like the cakes the store sells. The thing I have is the store closes at 7PM on weekdays but the workers start packing items off the shelf at 6PM even though there are still many people in the store. The other day I needed to buy eggs and they didn't have anything there. I usually come after work and cannot come earlier given my job. It would be nice if they have everything until closing time. read more

Not sure of all the negative posts. I worked there approximately 7-10 yrs ago & I can tell you that this place is great. From fresh delicious breads & rolls brought in, my favorite is the BRAIDED SESAME BREAD, to the BEST PRODUCE I can get. Their prepared food selection & their famous in-store mad mozzarella is all fresh & delicious. Are there some rude employees? Sure. But go to ANY othere markets & you'll find some. I needed a couple quick items so stopped in. This looks like a small family owned grocery store that does have more things than I originally thought. The deli area has a lot of items for a small market. Everything from antipasto's to sandwiches. I went with the rotisserie chicken since they looked fresh. The aisles are tight here so you will have to maneuver around people. I was in and out quick but I also only needed 1-2 items. The parking lot is a huge plus since it eliminates the anxiety of street parking. This place did the job. I probably won't be back since the big chain grocery stores are more my speed but it was cool to see. read more

The store appears to have aged like some geriatric in a nursing home. The grocery baskets are filthy, vegetables appear withered, certain rice/vegetable prepared food have a rancid smell, the fresh OJ has on numerous occasions been found to have flies floating inside the bottle and not to mention the super friendly cashiers that exchange curse words in spanish(warning: major sarcasm)! read more

I love this store but There are a few problems. Some of their prepared foods ate inconsistant. Their gazpacho has totally been changed to a watermelon base which is not as good as the original they had for years. Sometimes it is so sweet and sometimes it is perfect. The sweet is like drinking fruit juice. Their guacamole is awful. Their onions labeled vidalia onions are not vidallia onions. Sometimes the precut fruit is not ripe enough or sweet. The prices are expensive so no excuse for this. read more

READ BEFORE YOU MAKE AN ORDER: Wanted to give them more because they are working and servicing during this time but I really can't even justify giving them 2 stars right now. Made an order through email (since that was the only way they were taking orders at the time) and considering they were overwhelmed, I made the delivery date the following Monday (forfeited my chances were better to get my full order considering the amount of requests they were receiving). I followed their instructions to a T (sectioned and organized food, added substitutions, etc). First I received an email stating my order wasn't accepted, and then a few minutes later I received an email saying my order was received. I emailed them back asking which email I should refer to - immediately received a response saying they received my order and I should not email them back again. The next day - a delivery car with my (supposed) delivery is at my front door. At first I thought it was amazing! They were so quick! While it was expensive ($165), I paid the delivery guy $170 - including a tip for the driver. As I went through the delivery, however there were many things missing AND new things included I didn't order. At first my family thought it wasn't our order but it was too similar for it to be the neighbors (I mean, what are the odds our neighbors also ordered 3 different types of cheeses, chicken, paper fowls, and Greek yogurt). After going through the delivery, I cross referenced the receipt that I paid with the order received. Not only was I charged for things I never received, I was charged for things I never ordered! I was charged $12 for 5 rolls of toilet paper - even if I did order it, to pay $2.40/roll is absolutely outrageous. I immediately emailed them back with a picture of the marked up receipt and what was delivered - in total they over charged me about $27. NEVER RECEIVED A RESPONSE. AND as I was putting the food away, I realized THEY SENT ME EXPIRED FOOD!! Pictured below - my order came April 10 - this cheese EXPIRED April 4!! Monday roles around and another delivery is at the door. I only made one delivery so it was weird for another one to show up. This time it had everything on my list and was $190. I asked if I could just take the few things that were missing from the order I received 2 days prior and the guy refused. It was the same delivery man from the prior delivery, but he claimed he never made a delivery to my house (very odd). I then asked if he could call the store regarding the $27 I was overcharged for the last order and for it to be applied as credit for this order. He refused and then when I insisted he made up some excuse that they wouldn't pick up anyway even if he did call. I ended up handing the guy $200 for the delivery because I figured better to have more than to be stuck with less (god forbid). The guy TOOK my $200 and went back to his van and drove off!! I assumed he was going back for change but did not see in any way for him to DRIVE OFF WITHOUT GIVING ME CHANGE! Perhaps if he would have said "sorry, we can't give you change" then I would have understood to give him the exact amount. Who in their right mind would think that it would be ok to drive off with an extra $10??? In total, this place owes me $37. I will NEVER order from them again and will let my friends know that this place will scam you out of anything they can. Such a shame! read more

This place has very rude employees. I work with someone who has autism and normally he likes to go to this market to walk around and pick certain items he wants for the week. His mom and him also do deliveries. After all the negativity from that place, we don't go anymore. The employees are very rude and arrogant towards him because they know he has autism. He is overly kind to the employees meanwhile they talk bad behind his back. I've heard an employee basically remark that he's glad we don't go anymore to shop there. They've order food for delivery from 9:30am in the morning and requested to arrive before 1pm didn't receive until almost 3, with ice cream already defrosted. Definitely on purpose. After that day, we don't go to that market. PS the food is expensive as fuck, for no reason. Better off going to Acme or Shoprite. read more

You know the old saying about having an opinion.... I read the reviews to see if I should use Cafasso's Fairway for an event I recently had. Thank God I didn't listen to those two ONE-STAR reviews from Meily M. and Cliff H. and went with the countless FIVE-STAR reviews I read. Cafasso's Fairway provided us with great food, punctual service, and, most importantly, respect & kindness. The price was comparable, if not better, than other places (yes, I did my due diligence by shopping around first). I would recommend this place to my friends, family, and even to complete strangers. Better than the larger chain-stores with better service. If you can't find it at Cafasso's Fairway then you don't need it. As far as the two reviews I read, I hope they're better at their jobs than they were at writing reviews. read more

I've been going to Fairway market for over 50 years. Unfortunately the service and the food quality has deteriorated significantly. I won't even buy the prepared foods because it is generally food they have rotated from the retail and prepared it probably when the food was on its way. I purchased chicken cutlets from the prepared food and took them home to Parmesan them, and they were inedible. Regarding the deli department, the price listed per pound for the various cold cuts are not what they actually charge. For example they list turkey breast at 11. 99 a pound and when they ring it up, it's 15.99'a pound. I complained to the deli's apartment staff, and they say they have complained about the price not being changed, but nothing is done about it. That is obviously by design. Regarding the butcher, I thought Danny was just in a bad mood sometimes. I've always been very pleasant to him and he is just curt and rude. Today I experienced him being very nice to a tall blonde lady, actually being very charming to her. When he waited on me next he reverted to his rudeness and also to the person after me . If he doesn't like his job, why doesn't he get another one? Forget the lady at the fish department she is beyond rude. On a positive note the cashiers I deal with every day are quite nice and very polite. The store has not lived up to the reputation of the founders of the store. They are focused on profit and not on customer service and providing quality anymore. It's such a shame. read more

This particular man has been nasty to several of his workers through the years, but this was the last straw for me. I felt so bad for this woman. It was awful. He should be thankful people show up to work in such a hostile environment. Now it all makes sense as to why they are constantly hiring 24/7! I am never shopping there again. I have been shopping at Cafasso for close to 13 years when I first moved to Fort Lee. The customers are always very nice; the check out people are always very nice. The merchandise is great. But the shopping experience can be very unpleasant because the middle and upper managers can be very snarly, rude, impatient and even nasty. I had that experience today. Someone should remind these employees that loyal customers provide the revenue that pays their salaries!! read more

This place is so small, people take purchases from your shopping cart just not to stand in cooked food line. Today I was on the cooked food line and requested buffalo wings, when I got home after unpacking 250+ of groceries, no buffalo wings. The space is so tight and people are on top of you esp near the cooked foods and meat section they will take items from your cart just not to stand in the lines. Discusting and from someone that spends a lot of money when info here looking for better quality meat. I will never go three again. Knowing that you can't shop without wiring that people will pick from your cart is disgusting. I hope they enjoy the buffalo wings that they stole from my cart. read more
