I wish I could give this place 0 stars. We brought our car in and just asked them to power cycle the battery for 20 minutes to reconnect the over the air updates. They called us 2 days later and told us that we would need all new sensors and all together would cost us $4000. I asked them when we picked it up if they tried power cycling and the dude said they did, and then I asked again if that worked or not and he said it didn't. I told him it wasn't worth giving them 4k and we left. YouTube is powerful, so we watched a video and then power cycled it ourselves for 20 minutes and everything works great. THESE GUYS WILL LIE TO YOU. I don't know why they lied to us and why they took the long route instead of just spending 30 minutes doing what we asked them to do. The kicker is that when I was taking the panels off to power cycle the battery, there were leaves in places where there wouldn't be if they'd had even tried to take these panels off. Will definitely be getting serviced elsewhere from here on out. These guys are liars and crooks. Like for real. So when they say you need a down payment it's because the banks only allow 125% of the vehicle value. Always get you APR and calculate your payments. They knowingly sell crappie vehicles. Zach is my "service advisor" who said they would call when they began repairing my car so does that mean no one has looked at it yet? And I am without a vehicle for the entire weekend into Monday? In July 2023, my rear brakes and rotors needed to be replaced. So, I had them replaced. In March 2024, my car needed an oil change and what I thought were new front brakes and rotors, and I took my car to another body shop for the repairs. Whoops...the joke was on me! That shop informed me that my front brakes were fine, it was my rear brakes, rotors and calipers that needed to be replaced. I took my car in for a brake inspection and was willing to pay the $50 fee for it that they told me over the phone. Well, I saved myself $50 because they didn't do the inspection and since the calipers were the issue, there was nothing they could do about replacing the brakes and rotors on them. Since they were the last ones to work on the brakes and I needed new ones in less than a year...they were not willing to replace them and the rotors at no charge. So I had to spend more money, again, in less than a year (April 5, 2024) to have my brakes and rotors replaced along with the calipers. Greenwood Ford will no longer be getting my business or money. read more

I've been bringing my Ford Escape here for service since 2019. I have had two instances of purchasing components that were recommended for replacing to resolve an issue which ended up not being the causes. Hundreds of dollars wasted. I've brought my car in for service and requested items be repaired and realized later that the work wasn't done. The final straw came when I brought my vehicle in for service last week. I told the service advisor I needed the oil changed, low beam headlights checked out, and a damaged tire replaced under the Ford Tire Care warranty that I purchased when the vehicle was bought. I dropped the car off at 8:00 AM and hadn't heard anything by 3:00. I called the dealership multiple times with no answer from the service department. By 4:00 I told the receptionist I've been calling for nearly an hour and can't reach anyone. She got someone to answer. I found out from the service advisor that the oil change was done, the car needed new headlights, but to change them they had to take the front bumper off the car and remove the light assembly. I told the guy, no you don't have to do that. He countered and said yes. I explained that I know for a fact that's not required because I've changed them before and you can access them from within the hood by only removing the covers from the light assemblies. Next he told me he wasn't sure what I wanted done about the tire. I told him that I told him that morning I wanted the tire replaced under the Tire Care Warranty. He said he'd check on what he could do and get back to me. He calls an hour later at 5:00 and lets me know they actually didn't do the oil change because they didn't want to tie up a lift when they were going to have it back in a lift to change the tire. He informed me they didn't have a tire yet because the tire I had was one that Ford doesn't carry (it's a Continental, which is definitely a brand they carry) so they didn't know how to process the warranty. I was very upset because not only had they had my car all day and done nothing, they hadn't contacted me to help clear up the confusion. I told him I wanted to speak with the service manager. He said he would have the service manager call me on Monday. I pick up the car and the service advisor tells me he will be working Saturday and will call me with an update on getting a tire. Saturday I didn't get a call. On Monday by 3:00 PM no word from the service advisor or service manager. I called the service manager directly and told him my issues. He offered to come get the car and have it serviced. I told him that doesn't do me much good because I still needed a tire. I informed him that I had Fords Tire Care warranty. He told me that warranty only covers the tires purchased in the vehicle, which sounded odd to me because the policy is for 7 years and I've had three tires replaced on the care using the warranty. I told him because if the disappointing service I would likely not be back. I then called Fords Warranty Center to inquire about my Tire Care Warranty. They confirmed any comparable after market tires to the original ones are covered in the vehicle for the life of the policy, and that if the dealership does not understand the language written on my policy document they should call the same number. I get a call from the service advisor at 5:00 and he tells me they did in fact change the oil and fix a recall issue on Friday. I asked him if he had luck following up on a tire. He said no, but Mr. so and so (service manager) said it didn't matter because the tire wasn't covered anyway. So essentially in three days the dealership lied to me about sourcing a tire. They did cover the cost of the oil change that on Friday they told me they hadn't done. If I could leave zero stars I would. Like I said. This is not the first negative experience I've had here, but it is probably the last. read more

OVERPRICED SERVICE. I had a door latch cable to break on my 1997 F150. This was on the passenger side rear-door. I replaced the cable and latch myself, but it still wouldn't function (couldn't open the door). I took it to the dealership, explained what the problem was and what parts I had installed; I left the door panel off and advised the service representative of this & why. A while later (waiting, not dropped off) I'm notified it is ready. The service rep made some ridiculous comment about the door panel being removed (poor attempt at being funny?); I reminded him I left it off for a reason (couldn't open the door unless I reached in and pulled the latch cable!). Overall I just got the impression everything was a joke to the guy. Anyway, the repair bill was $150.00, and the repair? THE TECHNICIAN INSTALLED A ZIP TIE TO THE CABLE. It works, but that's all that was done. $150 for a zip tie. Way over priced, and I had installed the new parts myself snd would reinstall the door panel. Anyting under $100 and I wouldn't have felt I'd been overcharged. Before that I took my 2006 Explorer in for some dealer-only repairs, and added replacing the hood struts/cylinders. Got charged for the labor and parts. Arrived home, raised the hood, found that it still had the original struts/cylinders. Got it corrected, but these two issues have kept me from returning. read more

This company has a fake promotion for cash prizes in order to get more customers through the door. They send out fliers claiming you have won a prize, for me it was $3000 cash. I called and asked to confirm this was real, they claimed it was then told me to come in to claim the prize. I traveled 30 minutes to Greenwood Ford only for them to tell me I actually had to have a correct confirmation number that was not stated clearly in the flier. Instead of $3000 cash prize I received a $1 scratch off ticket. This was extremely disappointing and frankly an offensive attempt at marketing. I had a Lincoln in for service two times after a service light came on. On the second visit payed $ 129 for diagnostic service which did not give them necessary information. They wanted me to bring it back. After leaving here the light came back on just a few miles down the road and a return to the service department both times. After some internet research and a YouTube video I fixed this common problem by just cleaning a part. They should know about common problems and fix quickly. My experience with Greenwood Ford Lincoln over the last month has been my worst experience with a dealership or mechanic by far. June 20, 2019 I took my truck to Greenwood Ford Lincoln to have the A/C fixed. Dad said he normally put a can of freon into the truck each year, but I wanted to get it fixed, so I didn't have to mess with it. June 21, 2019 Greenwood Ford Lincoln called me around lunch and said that I needed a new A/C compressor because mine was about to fail and a new condenser because it had a leak. They priced it at $1,548.72, which I felt was kind of high, but Alissa and I decided to go ahead because we "knew" it would be done right and we didn't want Zoey riding in a hot truck. I gave Nolan the go ahead and he stated that he would order the parts and it should be done by Monday. June 24, 2019 Greenwood Ford Lincoln calls and states that my truck is ready to be picked up. I go and pick the truck up and pay my hefty sum. July 2, 2019 I get up as usual and head to work. The truck sputters and dies at the Nashville Rd light and I'm unable to get it to crank. I push it off to the side of the road and Alissa comes and takes me to work. Unfortunately this makes me late to work. The way the truck died and wouldn't crank, made me think the compressor had locked up. Therefore, I decided to have it towed to Greenwood Ford Lincoln thinking it would be under warranty. I hadn't heard anything by lunch, so I gave them a call. It took several calls to get through to anyone. I kept getting transferred back to the service department, but dumped to a voicemail and once I even heard someone pick up then immediately hang up on me. I gave up and Nolan eventually called me about an hour later. He informed me that the truck started right up for them and was working fine but they would do some troubleshooting. He called a couple of hours later to let me know that they had determined the mass airflow sensor was the problem, and it would cost $502.20 for their troubleshooting, parts and labor. I agreed and he said he would call me whenever it was ready. Alissa and Tina took me to pick up the truck after work. It drove fine until I pulled in front of our house to let Alissa pass me; the truck immediately died in the street. Luckily I was able to get it started again and pull it into the driveway. I immediately began calling Greenwood Ford Lincoln and after several failed attempts, I just left a voicemail for Nolan. He called me back about 30 minutes later and said that's weird, it was running great for us. He eventually said to have it towed back into Greenwood Ford Lincoln and they would take a look at it. I had the truck towed back to Greenwood Ford Lincoln the 2nd time. July 3, 2019 Again, by lunch time I hadn't heard anything from anyone at Greenwood Ford Lincoln. I began calling again and after several failed attempts I finally reached Nolan. He stated that their technician had walked out to the truck that morning and it had started just fine, but they would look at it later. Around 3pm he called back and said they had driven it several miles throughout the city and it was acting just fine for them, but they would keep looking at it. It was at this time that Alissa called and spoke with a manager and requested that we just be refunded for the mass airflow repair that didn't fix the issue, and we would just come pick the truck up. He stated "well I can't prove that it isn't fixed, so I can't refund you money, but you can come pick it up", so we went and picked it up. July 11, 2019 On my way home to eat, my truck starts sputtering like before and I'm able to get it to Heath's parking lot next to El Mazatlan on Nashville Rd. We went and ate and came back a couple of hours later. It started up and I made it to the Dollar General on Nashville rd before it shut off completely and wouldn't go anymore. This time, I opted to have it towed home. July 22, 2019 Unfortunately, time didn't allow me to work on it as much as I liked, but between the 11th and now, I replaced the crank position sensor twice and the pigtail for the sensor twice. I checked all of the fuses and various other things. Ultimately, I found the culprit...A pinched wire to the crank position sensor...right next to the A/C compressor that Greenwood Ford Lincoln replaced for me back in June. I have no intention of ever going back to Greenwood Ford Lincoln for so much as an oil change. Not only did they cause the issue in the first place, but they charged me $500 for something that didn't fix the issue caused by them! I ended up spending more money purchasing sensors and pigtails, not to mention the amount of time I was without a car. This is the worst customer service that I have ever experience. Avoid them at all costs!! I took for granted how good Toyota of Bowling Green and Kinny Landrum treated us. If you need a car or service, go see Kinny Landrum or pretty much anyone except Greenwood Ford Lincoln! read more

I have something very positive to say about Greenwood Ford in Bowling Green, KY. I own a 2014 Solitude 379FL pulled by my F350 Ford Dually. On Dec 29th while traveling through Bowling Green to Nashville my truck made the LOUDEST explosion I've ever heard. I originally thought it was a blowout. Pulled over checked the tire and they were fine. Got back in my truck to realize I have no turbo. 25 miles an hour is about the fastest I could get up to. We called the closest Ford dealership and was lucky to get Brian, one of the service writers. Brian said if I could get it there he would take a look at it. Even with the trailer attached. He thought it could be a couple different things one of which could not get fixed for about a week. Well I made it there and he took the time to personally come out and check the simple fix first. Hooray, it was just the coupler on my turbo cooler had blown off. He then proceeded to get one of his diesel mechanics Morgan who brought out tools into the parking lot and repaired the problem while my wife and I waited. First of all who does this kind of customer service anymore? But, it gets better, when I ask what I owed, Brian told me there would be no charge. Really, who does this? I took care of Morgan the mechanic and hit the road. If anyone is in Bowling Green and is need of a Ford dealership, I would highly recommend this very fair and honest dealer. We brought in our Ford Focus for much needed repairs. The shop manager quoted us $1234 for repairs but then charged us $1476. The car was returned to us with an inoperable radio. We returned it to the shop and indicated we did NOT want to spend any money to have the radio issue solved. The shop charged us $94.95 without our approval work the work. When we brought this to the shop manager, Kevin, he proceeded to raise his voice to my wife to the point of yelling. Kevin should not hold a position related to customer service. He is an embarrassment to the dealership. Don't be fooled in reading the dealer responses providing a phone number to "make it right." This dealer is much more preoccupied with every $94.95 they can make than with satisfying customers. Complaint has been filed with the Better Business Bureau. If you receive similarly shabby service be sure to file with the BBB as soon as possible. read more

I am so frustrated with Greenwood Ford in Bowling Green, KY! I had my vehicle serviced there a few months back (oil change and tires rotated). When I took my vehicle to another location for my next oil change and tire rotation, the technician at the second location told me he could not rotate my tires because there was damage to the lug nuts, and all but four lug nuts would likely need to be replaced if he attempted to take them off. He said that it looks like the person who previously worked on my car used the wrong sized socket to put the lug nuts back on. They suggested I call the previous place where I last had my tires rotated (Greenwood Ford) and see if they would replace or reimburse me for the damages (considering they were the last ones to rotate my tires and obviously put the lug nuts back on after doing so). When I called, I was told that even though they were the last ones to service my vehicle and rotate my tires, they would not pay for the replacement lug nuts. While the man I spoke with did recommend me going to a discount tire store to buy replacement lug nuts for a cheaper price, I still feel that Greenwood Ford should be held accountable for damaging my lug nuts and reimburse me for the damages. This is not the first time this has happened. With my previous vehicle, Greenwood Ford broke six of my lug nuts when rotating my tires, and I paid for the replacement lug nuts without hesitation. Is it a coincidence that this is the second time this situation has happened with two completely different vehicles? Or is this due to the lack of good customer service and someone not doing their job correctly? I'll never know. But what I do know is that Greenwood Ford has lost my business for good. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION. If you want good customer service and trustworthy technicians, I recommend going to the unaffiliated Ford location in Franklin, KY. While it is a 20 minute drive from Bowling Green, it is worth the money in the long run! If for some reason Greenwood Ford decides to change their mind and replace my lug nuts, I'll update this review with the changes. I just want them to do the right thing. read more

I have 2 recalls on my 2015 Ford Fusion that I am trying to get taken care of. I have called twice and have been left on hold only to be transferred to someone's voicemail. I have left messages with no return call and cannot get my vehicle in to be serviced. I am now going to have to go to the dealership when I get off work to get someone to actually have to give me an answer. I will update this review when/if I ever get a hold of anyone. Absolutely the worst service department ever. Don't take your vehicle here! I picked my friend up at 6:30am this morning because she dropped her vehicle off in their parking lot for an oil change. I took her back to pick it up at 11:30 on our lunch break and they told her that her tire had a hole and was losing air. When we got there, her tire was completely flat! They REFUSE to fix it. Her tires were completely fine before she took it to them. They ran over a piece of metal I'm assuming due to the construction they are undergoing, and popped her tire and then refuse to do anything about it, saying that it was her fault. How is it her fault when her car was PERFECT before they got it? Then they sent a tow truck to our job to pick up her car BY MISTAKE, then said that she shouldn't have let the tow truck take it, saying that was her fault as well, then laughed at her when she told them to bring it back. But we work inside, and cannot see our vehicles in the parking lot. Mind you, we also work in a dealership service department just down the road. We know how service is supposed to go. Asked to speak to a General Manager and was hung up on by Haley. She is rude, and doesn't care about the customers. Worst customer service EVER to be experienced. If I could give ZERO stars, I would. The General Manager finally called back after multiple calls, but wouldn't do anything about his service departments behavior. Taking advantage of a young girl just trying to get a simple oil change. These are the worst group of people. I would recommend driving a little farther down south than to deal with Greenwood Ford Lincoln in Bowling Green. I was on a trip and my truck quit on me about 30mi from the dealer, after a little searching on my phone I located them and called, they arranged towing and repaired my truck quickly with the part that was in stock and were VERY friendly, the kind of dealership I wish was local to me. I was thoroughly impressed with the Service dept, they got to my truck quickly and resolved the problem in a reasonable amount of time and for what I thought was a pretty good price for emergency repair work. Since I was traveling with my two young sons the Service Mgr Laura gave us each a baseball hat with the dealer logo on it. of course my sons were thrilled with that little gesture. read more

I took my 2014 F-150 to have the rear window defroster checked (was not turning on) and a knocking noise in the steering linkage. The service representative (Landon) was rude on the phone and rude in person. Did not fix the defroster. They did fix the steering knock but now my steering wheel is off center. Having spent @ $80k there in the past year on vehicles, they have lost a customer and I will not recommend anyone to their dealership. read more
