This was an awesome impromptu boat outing. Hubby got his boating license during the pandemic and we have been renting boats ever since. It's a nice sense of freedom during vacations and even in our hometown. We've rented boats from many places but usually private owners. Renting at Greenwood Lake was a pleasantly different experience. We originally planned a full Saturday outing with a large group of friends but due to some unfortunate circumstances, many of them could not make it for that day and because the weather initially forecasted unfavorably, we decided to cancel the boat. Luckily, we were able to receive a 100% refund earlier around Wednesday/Thursday. The weather forecast ended up changing and looking way more favorable, so we decided to book a 3 hour rental with just hubby, our little kiddo and myself. I was concerned because there were only very early or late afternoon bookings but we settled on a 4-7p rental. They're located a little over an hour from us and they have lots of parking. You might have to wait a bit for customers to leave and for spits to open up in their main parking area but there is additional parking located within walking distance. We lucked out with some parking right in front. The upside with booking here is that they have a convenience store located at the rental office. You can add additional incidentals to your booking, including coolers, ice, waters, tubes, floating islands, kayaks, etc. You can even book a captain if you're not comfortable with or have no experience driving boats. They prefer you to arrive 45 minutes prior to your booking if it's your first time driving, or 30 minutes prior if you've driven before. We arrived 30 minutes prior, parked and hubby completed the booking transaction at the office before we headed down to the dock to retrieve our boat. There was a bit of a wait as the boat had been taken out and we were awaiting it's return. The pontoon boat we had, Cast Away, is on the older side. It has carpet which is super weird when wet (kinda gross but you get used to it). They must take very good care of it because, despite being carpeted, it showed no signs of mildew or smells or anything. It was just weird but I know many homes in the 70s had carpeted bathrooms so, go fig? Our original boat was the double-decker with slide and it looked to be newer. They have CLEAN portable bathrooms on the premises and many, "hands on deck", to assist with docking and un-docking. Kevin, one of the guys working here, helped us to take the boat out of the slip. He showed us where we should go and we set off. Because we only had a few hours, we drove south a bit, anchored in the sun and enjoyed a day of swimming before heading back to the bock. Kevin met us once again, and docked the boat for us. All that was left was to pack up our car and head home. We had an awesome time and will most definitely be back. We'll definitely plan better and get a newer boat. Pro Tip: take the less than 15 minute drive over to Bellvale Farms Creamery for some deliciously creamy ice cream (homemade with their own cows milk!) and sunset views...a wonderful end to an amazing day. read more

We rented a pontoon boat "Anchor Management" for a birthday party and our group of 6 took an upgrade to " Life is Good" pontoon which was exactly perfect. We cruised the lake, stopped and swam at the beach from our boat. Had a modest picnic on the boat with our own cooler and cold drinks. A very memorable birthday for all of us. Our Captain was Captain Trina who was a skillful safe driver. She went overboard accommodating our disabled family member from A to Z which made for a very happy day. It's a fun time for a friend or family who needs an accessible location. The August day was relatively hot but boat awning and wind kept everyone enjoyably cool! We were there from 3:00 pm to 7 pm. Unfortunately, an extremely overall unprofessional experience. One of the staff members was not only beyond intoxicated but also extremely inappropriate with several of the people in the group I was with. When discussing a smaller and cheaper boat to rent upon arrival with him due to a family emergency preventing some people from coming, he said we were unable to rent a cheaper boat (even though several boats were docked and available) causing us to spend over $100 more for no reason. He was also repetitively harassing us all asking for alcohol from us and when we eventually said no he continued to ask, even eventually becoming so drunk he was falling over and grabbed one of the people in the group I was with. (We we're a group of only girls which made the situation even more uncomfortable). Upon contacting the manager she was extremely helpful and tried to make things right by taking some money off of our total price. Unfortunately, upon contacting the owner of the establishment he responded stating that he "never had complaints like us", he could never imagine his uncle doing what we stated he did, and saying that we were "all beyond obliterated" (two of the people in the group do not even drink alcohol). Needless to say he didn't actually try to resolve the problem, just said he wanted to solve it (without taking action or following up) and saying he didn't believe us. After those statements no one ever followed up with us. read more

We had an awesome time renting a pontoon boat from the marina! We were on the water for four hours which was plenty of time for swimming, sunbathing, and tooling around the lake. The staff was very helpful, and gave us some tips for getting the most out of our trip. The online reservation system only works for future dates, but we were able to call up day-of and request a boat. If you have your boating safety certificate, you can skip quite a bit of paperwork too. read more

Accommodating, informative, and just really great people on a really great team. Our kids have been so happy for this experience, and are always looking to head out to the lake. Still waiting for refund... September 2020 booked a boat for sons Bday for Friday (week away). Next day everyone invited confirmed they cannot make to boat party. So, naturally i sent request to cancel my reservation (6 days until booking date). No response. Sunday and Monday over the phone tried to cancel reservation. Left voice messages, talked to receptionist, talked to manager...no cancelation confirmation number given. Wednesday ( 72h before booking date) drove to office and talked to receptionist, who affirmed me verbally that I my reservation was canceled. still wouldn't give me a confirmation number. His excuse manager is not here, i have no access blah blah blah 6 months later I'm still $400.00 ( four hundred dollars) short Honesty and Integrity doesn't rhyme with Greenwood Lake Marina read more

I can't get enough of this place. I have been every Sunday in July/August. The boat pricing is incredible. We have rented the luxury pontoon, deck boat, fishing boat and economy boat. Really bad customer service. They have a really bad attitude towards their customers. I guess they have more business than they need and they don't care about blowing you off. It's almost always impossible to get through to somebody using their call tree. You push the number for different extensions but no matter which department you choose you end up going to voicemail. And then when you get somebody they have an attitude like they couldn't care less. Last week a friend took our motor in for repair and when he arrived a particularly rude employee greeted us by saying "What now!". We never dealt with this employee before. It's not like there was some history. Today I had dealings with that same employee (I didn't know about last week's episode) and he was extremely rude to me. We will be looking for another place to have our marine equipment serviced. read more

I don't even know where to begin. We have been there twice already and we will be back tomorrow! They are so helpful and accommodating. Really care about their customers and treat them like family. They did not have a tube the last tome we went . They gave us floating device's so my kids could have something in the water . We brought our rods to fish. They took time explaining where the best fishing spots are. My kids had best time out on the lake last two times and are really excited about spending day tomorrow. We will not look for another marina . This is definitely the place to go. Melissa was able to find us a large pontoon and the timings we needed. She was super sweet and helpful. But on the morning of July 2nd I tried them again. And they told me that they had a boat!! Elana and Sharon were very nice to deal with. Elana owns the marina and she was amazing!! She rented me a boat and a tube there was no problem with anything that they did. I would highly recommend Greenwood lake Marina to anyone who is going out to greenwood lake. We rented a boat for 5 hours for my sisters 16th birthday and it was such a blast. We had Kyle, Jonathan and Rebecca help us and I don't think we could've had a better time. We started by using the water slides and diving board on the boat to head into the water, then we got ice cream on the water as well, headed to an obstacle course on the lake (not before passing Derek Jeter's house!) and finally used the body boards for a second before we headed back to the dock. I'm not really a lake person - I usually prefer the beach, but by the end of the day I was looking at Airbnb's so we could come back and stay for a few days. Can't recommend this enough! I have rented the yacht for a second year - once for work and once for a family event. The yacht is fantastic in every way imaginable. It is set up for food and drink service with two bars and a huge cooler. The bar has running water, microwave and refrigerator. And, the boat captain is extremely competent. I called the office to make my reservation and they were very accommodating in helping choose a boat that was perfect for my party. I ended up renting a pontoon boat for Saturday, 7/1. The staff was so friendly and easy to work with. The boat was very well maintained and the lake is amazing. I would definitely go back!!! Brought my dog on a board and he had a great time as well. Boat rental is like a black hole. You can easily set up a boat rental but there is no way to cancel it. They do not answer the phone, only allowing you to leave a message where they say they will call you back. They never call you back. Be very hesitant on renting from this company. read more

I was there with a few friends and we had a blast. We had the double decker fun ship and it was more than spacious! The top part is cool you can tan and use the slide in to the water. Also jumping and diving from the top is a lot of fun. We rented it for the whole day and the staff was awesome. If u do go, ask the staff for the cool spots where u can dock and swim they know the good areas. Make sure u bring a cooler and lots of water because it gets hot! The only reason I gave 4 and not 5 stars is because we like to party after sunset and they close at 5 so u gotta be back by then. Other than that, highly recommend this place!! read more

I can't say enough good about Greenwood Lake Marina. The owners and staff went above and beyond to make sure my family of nine had a fabulous time this 4th of July weekend. We'd never rented a pontoon before and they were excellent in explaining what to do, pointed out some fun facts, and shared great sections of the lake to go to and avoid. We had so much fun!! We also came back to the marina to dock and they would stop by and chat with us about how things were going and telling us about a band they had performing there later that night. It was like 82 degrees and they even handed out complimentary ice-pops to the four kids, which they all loved. The lake itself is a lot of fun. We spent the entire day on the water in the StarCraft pontoon, which seats 10. We had five adults and four kids (5-13) and we had plenty of room - even with coolers (snacks, drinks, sandwiches) and towels. We anchored and the kids swam off the side of the boat for a bit, but mostly we just enjoyed just driving around Greenwood Lake. Would definitely rent from them again and highly recommend it too! read more

It's true!!!!! There is actually a marina that is all around a great business. Completely different from the marina's around Lake Wallenpaupack in PA one of which begins with the letter B. During this very busy time I had a problem and was able to bring it in right away for evaluation. It was ready to go by the weekend. They helped us launch and pull the boat back out. They don't get defensive when you mention that the carpet got a little dirty from working on the engine, etc. I travel 3 hours round trip to do business here. Each and every employee and the owner is friendly and helpful. Happy, kind boss equals happy employees. You must do business at Greenwood Lake Marina! read more

I go to this marina quite offten. Very well organized and the stuff is very helpful.they do comedy nights at the sand beach and also all kinds of events with live music. I never heard anyone organizing a costumer appreciation day with food, music and good people. Of you want to relax, go on a rental boat, this is the perfect place for you on Greenwood Lake. Also they have like 4 grills you can use, a sand beach for swimming, a nice deck with tables and chairs, very nice bathrooms and a shower... What else can you ask for? I HIGHLY recommend this place to everyone from family with kids to elderly people.. And lets not forget! They are pet friendly which is great! I' ve been throw out from a marina on greenwood lake when we were docking and walked off with my puppy.. The Greenwood Lake marina even has doggy treats! :) I love this place!!! read more

I can not speak about the marina itself but they also operate the boat rentals in Waywayanda state park which is horrible. This past weekend I was there at 8am when they were supposed to open but the two hungover workers decided not to show up until 9:30. After thirty min of them trying to help the long line of people that had been waiting they had to swap out several electric motors and batteries for my boat which none of which ended up working. It seems the motors were wrapped in fishing line since they aren't maintained. Since I couldn't go out on the lake I got a refund for the boat rental but they wouldn't credit me for the park fee "sorry bro my register will be short at the end of the day."- Justin AKA hungover moron... They wasted two hours of my time at the park plus two hours round trip in driving, wasted gas, money for fishing bait, money on the park etc...
