Thankfully, I was correct - this store was infinitely better! Lots of bargains to be had. Lots of things that look like bargains but the packaging or quantity is just smaller. You have to be sharp wandering the aisles but that's what makes it fun. They have brand names and generics. The best part is that the stuff you do ostensibly recognize is slightly...off. Like it's a flavor that you haven't seen here in the states but you know the item. Check out the picture of my haul, por ejemplo. We all know Manwich tomato sauce in the can but have you ever heard of BBQ Bourbon flavor?? Well they have it in Mexico and it has made its way to Trenton. Also my apple fritters were in a container labeled pumpkin donuts lololol. If you can get past the idiosyncrasies, you'll enjoy it here and save money!

The staff is made up largely of what seem to be local high school kids and retirees, and I think that's kind of nice. If you have an extensive shopping list or are looking for some particular brands/varieties, this probably isn't going to do the job for you, but if you want to just grab a few items and be able to get in and out in a few minutes versus having to enter the Thunderdome that is either Hamilton Shop Rites, you'll do A-OK here.

This was my first visit to Wegman's in Princeton, NJ. Someone else was correct in their review saying that the parking lot is crazy. Please be careful & look ALL ways, especially elderly folks. There are cars literally coming from all directions and then of course people walking behind you and in front of you and beside you it's quite the zoo (and this was a non-holiday Sunday morning! ). I had placed an order on the Wegmans app while I was at my hotel for pick up at 11:30am. My app said to go inside to the curbside to go sign to get my food. Maybe I missed it but at the other Wegmans, there was even a sign outside indicating where the food to go department was located... I did not see that on the outside of this building but I could've missed it. Also, once inside I headed to where the prepared foods were, but I also saw no sign indicating food to go, only catering. I asked two women at the bakery counter & they had conflicting answers one pointing me to one end of the store and saying I had to drive up in my car to pick it up and the other pointing towards catering. Since my app did not indicate that I was picking up curbside in a car, I headed towards catering, and that was indeed where the to go food was located. It was 11:20am & my food was ready & in the cooler. They bagged it for me and I was on my way. I didn't have the time to walk around inside this Wegmans, but it looked pretty standard for the store. My favorite part about Wegmans is the massive prepared food/made to order/restaurant section. On this particular trip, I was getting my husband a large Danny's favorite sub to take home, and for myself I got a protein turkey wheat wrap with veggies & a fruit bowl for my 5 hour road trip & a Wegman's brand dragonfruit vitamin water. Wegman's is the Cadillac of grocery stores. No other store compares. You really have to experience one to understand the concept.

And it's pretty big with a great selection of food to choose from like every Trader Joe's. Has the same ambiance as every location from having beautiful murals to match the setting of the location, to having amazing outstanding service, to being a bigger location than most other Trader Joe's. This is a good location to visit and buy groceries at. The only criticism with Trader Joe's and its the same as every other location I have been to in my life. Is that the produce may spoil quickly due to too much plastic packaging, of course the baked pastries spoiling quickly as they're all frozen for shipping which traps condensation, and then of course the wait times could be hectic as it always gets busy at Trader Joe's.

When I shop there, the lack of adequate lighting makes it a bit oppressive to spend much time. The absence of the smaller, modern, carts available elsewhere, makes it necessary to use the larger, older and rustier pushers that often have gimpy wheels. While it wouldn't take much to upgrade this commercial space into a more pleasant facility, the company seems to have decided to leave it as it is. Perhaps, their lease is coming to an end, or the revenue from this location does not justify the expenditure. Regardless, aside from the convenience of stopping in here occasionally, I would avoid it and frequent the newer and easier to navigate markets just to the north for the same prices.

I was looking for mushroom coffee and Victoria pointed me in the right direction to the coffee. Also made me crave some earl Grey tea! Lovely displays! I did get a tin of bustelo coffee, some stuffed dates and my bff picked up some pints of icecream to give Ft, pistachio, cinnamon & rum raisin. We walked around and enjoyed the breakdown of all the valentine displays. Very exciting! So many hardworking employees here shifting stuff around to make it easy for all of us. So i wanted to share some successes that I experienced today during my trip to your store…read more I was in the mood for a hoagie style sandwich and recalled the numerous social media ads I had seen for $12 sandwiches, so I went to your store for a hoagie when I normally would not, a win to your social media and marketing people. I grabbed my sandwich and sought out help for a side of hot peppers for my sandwich and couldn't find them. I then had the pleasure of meeting Michelle who was in the area (she was near the sushi/pizza area). I explained to Michelle what I was looking for and she stopped what she was doing and enthusiastically helped me with getting some peppers for my sandwich. She was kind, engaging and genuine - so congratulations on your employee screening and training, she's a winner. Lastly, I was a little annoyed about the side lot being tented and closed. When I brought it up to MIchelle she proudly said that it was closed for an employee event and went on to explain how valued your culture has made her and other employees feel. They feel appreciated and that is a win for you as the management team. There are 5 super markets in the area none of which I had an allegiance to until today, thanks to all of your efforts and Michelle.

What could have been a…read moredisaster of dystopian Beyond the Thunderdome proportions ultimately turned out to be just another day leading me to consider whether Black Friday is really dead. Sure it was crowded but not food riot crowded and the lines to check out were not hellacious so, I never really had to body slam anyone for a $69 knock-off IPad. I'm now very sad. Five stars for civility.
