This is only of the few places in the area that you'll find good quality platanos, yuca/cassava, and any kind of tropical fruit. The slight downsides are that the prices are often slightly higher than a regular supermarket, and there never seem to be enough cashiers working.

The stock is rotated quickly due to high volume sales, so things are usual fresh and within best by date. Produce can sometimes be handled roughly causing bruising. Pick carefully when you select those items. There are seasonal and limited quantity sale items available throughout the year. Pay attention the the red labeled items as they are "here now, gone tomorrow" and may never be in stock again. So if you like something with a red label, stock up on it while you can. Great way to save money and cut costs on food, some personal care items, and cleaning products!

There isn't a single customer using self checkout and I'm told by someone that I have too many items and I can't do it myself. Why?? I was told I have to use a cashier. But at night there is almost never a cashier on? So I'd have to use self checkout. Seems a little ridiculous. I was told if we let you then we have to let everyone.
