I brought my Prius here to get a head gasket replacement ($3900). When I picked it up, I noticed a very loud clicking noise that hadn't been there before. After driving it for about a week, I brought it back. He said that it sounded like the lifters and that I could leave it with him and he'd take a look. When I picked it up this time, indeed it was quieter. I asked him what he did, because the lifters are not adjustable, and he just said, "I fixed it". Fast forward 2 months and the engine blows out on a highway in Tennessee. I had another shop put a new engine in my car. When I called Bailey, he denied it could be the work he did. I took my Prius to Greg for ABS brake warning light. I spoke to Greg and brought my own parts. I felt comfortable after speaking to Greg and felt he is an honest person. I left my car on a Tuesday; he mentioned it will take a day and a half. I did not get any calls after this time period, so I started to call to check on progress. After a few days I finally spoke to him and said he was still working on car. This went on till Friday and I had to rent a car since I needed transportation and did not expect car to be in shop this long and especially for the weekend. I was able to get the car out of shop on Friday and avoid additional expense on rental but car was not complete as Greg said he was not able to program computer on car as he didnt have proper scanner/tool and he would have to order the Toyota tool. I now waited for him to call me the following week as I was suspect of car and not feeling safe with this situation, the ABS, brake lights were on again. Again, I never heard from Greg and called him about Wednesday to see what status was and he mentioned he was still waiting on tool. When tool arrived he said he was testing the tool which is understandable but now that was another few days delay. About a week after I had taken my car from shop I went back to shop for Greg to complete repair. Finally this tool worked. To summarize, the problems were lack of communication, I had scuff mark on right lower front fender that wasn't there when I took car in, they left off gasket that mounts on the booster pump against the firewall, they overfilled the brake fluid reservoir and overflowed. I had bought the parts new and original equipment from Toyota, and this included the gasket and I brought them to Greg. I had retrieved the old parts and on the old booster pump there is the old gasket, and the new gasket I brought in along with the other parts is in the box still wrapped in its plastic bag. So, I have no seal between firewall and booster pump due not installing gasket and overfilling reservoir is sloppy work. Greg seems like a good guy, and he did reduce the cost because of scuff mark but the repair of that scuff mark is more than the cost reduction he gave me, and it doesn't help when the work is incomplete and expensive, and you can't communicate with your customers. read more

WOWWW!!! No wonder this place is 5 stars!!! I will state that I have NOT had my car serviced by them yet, but I was so blown away by the way I was treated here I had to drop a gold star. I have NEVER in my entire life dealt with such a friendly person when calling a mechanic shop, and quite frankly I think it might have been the best customer experience via phone that I have ever had in any industry. I am still blown-away by how non-judgmental and PATIENT Greg was during all our phone calls. It was the type of niceness you usually only get when you've been going to the same shop and they know you as a person. My car was making a rattling noise & as soon as he drove it, he knew what it was & called it on point- which happened to be my timing chain making the noise. All work on my car was completed in one day. I brought it in around 9:30am and got it back a little after 5pm. Bonus that this place is only about a mile from my house so I rode my bike home after dropping the car off and then rode back to get it. Greg himself talks to you about what you'll need done however I wasn't offered a quote when I talked about bringing the car in, only once it was already there and they'd gotten into it did he call and say "This is how much everything is." My total was $320-something. Replacing 3 belts (timing, steering, one more) was under $150 which I found very reasonable. I bought a battery, had it installed, and had the metal connector parts replaced (corrosion). However, I was charged over $60 for an oil change. I brought the oil and filter myself so the $60 was just for labor...it seems very excessive. I also spent $20-ish to have my headlights replaced, which were also provided by me. You're probably thinking, "What kind of dummy can't change her own oil and headlights?" Well, some jerk stole my ramps and hydraulic jack (not here in Tampa) and I can't fit under my car without it being elevated (thanks, boobs). 2 of my headlight screws rusted (it's an Indiana car) and broke off inside the assemblage so I couldn't get them out. In conclusion, overall pricing for repairs seems ok, turnaround time was great, Greg is nice, the giant aquarium in the lobby is nice to look at, the grouchy little office cat made friends with me, the couches are comfy, and there are plenty of magazines to look at while you wait. I recommend this place, but if you're having your oil changed you'd better ask for a quote first. I'd hate to think what it would've cost me if I HADN'T brought my own filter and full-synthetic oil with me. It probably would've been well over a hundred dollars just for an oil change! read more
