Also, the staff at the outpatient pharmacies are fantastic! Very clean and safe, despite the chaos in the ED sometimes. Love the healing garden near the Healthplex. Highly recommend this hospital, outpatient pharmacies and outpatient practices for all services.

I have spent at least 3 hours with multiple calls to tower health billing over a $25 bill I keep…read moregetting. I have credit card receipts for every co pay and visit I made and keep getting billed as each person says its for a different date and cant get a straight answer. At this point I am so stressed out I would rather go to court and pay $150 court costs over this $25 bill. I am wondering how many people cave and just pay it as I was going to do to stop the texts. The care I got was great but this billing service is as stressful a situation as I can remember. 3 hours on the phone, printing out over 15 pages of proof and still no resolve. I believe passing away would be easier than dealing with them again.

I have had several procedures done and I am extremely happy with the results. Did I heal exactly as I thought, no. Did we have some bumps along the way, yes. Everyone heals differently but my expectations and what they could do for me were explained during the consultations and follow-up appointments. Dr. Schlecter, Ivy and Kimberly informed me of what the surgery would consist of, the healing expectations and payment requirements. The expectations and how I would heal are dependent on too many variables, every person will heal differently. At no time was I made to feel like a "number." Dr. Schlecter, Ivy and Kimberly were very thorough in explaining the procedures to ensure I understood. In the event I was not listening or forgot most of the conversation in my excitement of getting the procedure scheduled, Ivy and Kimberly sent me home with copies of everything we discussed for future reference. This included the procedure, at home instructions for optimal healing and the cost. The entire staff at Spring Ridge Plastic Surgery are very warm, welcoming, and professional. We went to the Urgent Care on Friday and they did strength test on my son and x-rayed my daughter's wrist. We were then referred to an orthopedic. OAR were the only ones that could help us on Monday because they accept walk-ins. It was a $75 copay for each child with my insurance. They helped my daughter, however, my son, they barely even looked at his hand and told me there was nothing they could do. The only thing they could do was refer me to physical therapy. My son was upset because he can barely hold a pencil. If they didn't think they could help him then why did they take the $75 for doing nothing? He sat in the chair & that's it! It would have been way different if they said. "We really can't do anything to help you" and then didn't take any money because no service was rendered. Just wanted to make everyone aware before you visit that you may end up paying for nothing.

Nice confidence-inspiring set-up and process at Berks Eye, but cataract treatment results were NOT…read morevisually impressive. The first issue is that Dr. Domenic Izzo thinks a lot of himself. One eye accelerated into cataracts due to a prior surgery - despite the opportunity to correct my far vision or use newer variable focal length lenses, Izzo just said flat out he's going to give me back my myopia to match my other eye (bad far vision, better up close). I've been in the medicine field for two decades, experienced different levels of vision in one eye for a bit, and worn contacts - I know what the problems can be, but he tired of answering after question number two. Based on familial history, I was fairly sure I would need the other eye done so they would match in the near future - Izzo was having none of that. Surgery (2017) went well on my "bad" eye and, after post-op laser treatment (2021) to clear the cloudly membrane that developed I had my clear but myopic vision back. More disappointing was the result of cataract surgery for the other, "good" eye. Given the ultimate result for my previous cataract surgery and recent laser clean-up, I decided to go back to Berks Eye and Dr. Izzo since they were familiar with my case and this would be the simple case to do (also in 2021). Possibly based on patient reviews in the intravening period, Dr. Izzo was at least pretending that he had a more receptive attitude about listening to the patient. Unfortunately, Izzo's surgery on the "good" eye resulted in NON-CORRECTABLE VISION problems both far AND NEAR. Questioned about this, that's when he brought out the old chestnut: "That's why you wear glasses!" I wish it were that simple. TWO DECADES PRIOR my parents both had cataract surgery and both ended up with nearly 20-20 far vision, so given that Dr. Izzo had forced the simple (myopic) lens replacement on me and that this was a straight-forward change to my good eye, I did expect a result at this level. While Dr. Izzo kept up a patter and went through the motions post-op of feigning that the results were good ("see how it's almost acceptable through the pinhole occluder"?), I now have some kind of UNCORRECTABLE warp in my near vision in that eye, which affects sports/driving/etc. Wearing the glasses PRESCRIBED BY DR. IZZO, I am basically "single-eyeing it" for all reading, near and far.

Beware!!!... My daughter went to this office for a cleaning and to treat a toothache. She…read moreexperienced the worse dental visit of her life. The dentist has no bed side manner, he didn't even introduce himself to her when he went in to meet her for the first time. With that being said she still went back for the extraction he told her she needed. He was very rough with her and she regretted going back. She was given no pain management instructions or pain medication. Her pain was intolerable that night. We went back to his office together the next day in hopes that something could be done about the pain. The dentist who seemed annoyed that we were there preceded to tell us that he shouldn't have even done the extraction. He said it was difficult and should've been done by an oral surgeon. At no time before the extraction did he state this to my daughter. When I approached him with questions about that he was very rude and defensive. He then went on to give my daughter a prescription for antibiotics which he clearly said she didn't need because there was no sign of infection. He claimed that it would help with the pain. (Again there was no sign of infection, which is the only time you should take antibiotics). To top it off he prescribed an antibiotic that my daughter clearly stated in her paperwork she is allergic to. That obviously means he did not review her chart before prescribing the medication.... If that isn't enough I witnessed him take his glove off and touch an impression that came out of another patients mouth. He gave the impression back to his assistant and grabbed 2 new gloves and put them on without washing his hands(he contaminated the new glove with the saliva of the other patient that was on his bare hands). He got very upset when I called him out on it and denied it. I clearly saw him do it.... Needless to say we will never go back there and most definitely would not recommend him to anyone. He doesn't even deserve the one star I am forced to give him. My recommendation if you're looking for a dentist is keep looking. Sincerely, Disgusted by this Dirty Dentist
