The beverages are great. Worth every dime. But the service at this location continues to disappoint me. Today i went in and there was a barista, busy making a drink and another woman in a gray sweater standing around on her phone. After a minute she walked over and asked my order, only to get distracted by her phone and ignore me. When the barista was finished making drinks she took my order. Im used to getting ignored at this location. It's common to wait at the counter while the staff is on their phones. There always seems to be one person working and doing everything while the other(s) are consumed with their phones. May as well save money and put one staff member on. As good as the beverages are, there are plenty of other delicious coffee spots in the area. If the service continues to suck ppl will go elsewhere. read more

I ordered the vegan breakfast burrito, and it looked nothing like the photos or description online. The menu shows a full burrito cut in two halves with Beyond sausage, vegan egg, breakfast potatoes, peppers, and onions. What I received was only half a burrito, and the filling was just a blended vegan meat and cheese mixture with a red peppers and onions. There was no visible egg, no potatoes, and it did not taste like Beyond sausage at all. [I could immediately compare b/c I also ordered the vegan croissant sandwich w/Beyond breakfast sausage cocurrently). When I contacted the store, I was told the order was correct and that the potatoes were "in the mix," which honestly made no sense. Breakfast potatoes dont simply disappear into a blend to the point where they can't be seen or tasted. The explanation felt dismissive, and they stopped responding entirely: no apology, no acknowledgment, nothing. What makes this more frustrating is that when you order delivery, you have to rely completely on the photos and description. You can't send the food back, you can't ask the kitchen to fix it, and delivery prices are higher, so the expectation is that the item will at least match what is advertised. I chose this burrito specifically because it listed potatoes, egg, and Beyond sausage. I was actually considering another item but picked this one because I wanted those ingredients, and none of them were there. I also ordered the vegan croissant (which as smooshed and long and not wide like the picture BUT it was actually good) in the same order, and that one clearly DID contain the Beyond sausage as advertised, which makes the burrito even more confusing and disappointing. If a restaurant is using the Beyond name, customers trust that what they're getting is actually what's being promoted. You should know that neither are fresh, it's premade and heated up. I often sit alone pondering and crying for missing my beloved late family members. This coffeehouse is located in Forest Hills, Queens where I had time before my medical appointment nearby. I came for the baked pastries and iced tea. I am always enamored for coffeehouses' baked pastries. Seating is limited for high chairs with tables. Customer service is mediocre and robotic with stolid wayward behavior as the previous reviews are accurate and truthful. Strawberry Hibiscus refresher iced tea $4.85 Certainly refreshing and delicious with pieces of dried strawberry fruit. The amount of ice was on point as my server Keny C. was not misery for ice. This drink was not overpowering sweet, but a good consistency for sweetness. I highly despise extreme sweet drinks for the high sugar content volume and agree with former NYC Mayor Mike Bloomberg's limiting sugar level initiatives consumption of sugary drinks. Every barista that I've encountered here over the past few months has been pleasant, friendly, and efficient! The prices here are comparable to similar chains in New York City with far more interesting drinks, in my opinion. They always get the order right, pick up or delivery. The place is clean. They have a bathroom and a few small high top tables and booths, but not many. Depending on the time of day, there will be people with laptops working. I will say that the sandwiches are small for the price, which is a corporate thing really and has nothing to do with this store in particular. Beautiful addition to Forest Hills! Typically I avoid new spots on opening day but I couldn't keep myself away from the free pastry offer yesterday. I thought the space was well designed and felt bright, airy and could accommodate quite a number of tables without feeling overcrowded. It was nice to see Gregory there in the flesh too! I got the Nu Brew which was delicious, and a fresh hot chocolate chip cookie- yum! It just sat there and no one cared to call my name until I started looking for it. Also I ordered a banana pound cake and they serve me the end piece and was dry! Like you should not do that to people. Like be courteous and ask hey this is what we have left, would like something else? is the okay? Just simple things like that. Overall terrible experience at this location. I also tipped 18% after i ordered my food and honestly they should start asking for tips after everything is made and given to you, because I wish I can take that back after my experience. The espresso is great and the baked pumpkin loaf was way better than Starbucks, the quality of the food and drink is apparent. Overall a great business that supports social equity with fair trade coffee and donations to charity, while also catering to those with food restrictions (alternative milks, multiple vegan options). Lots of seating, yet consistently full. I was able to get the only spot available, but would not try coming here at peak hours or if you're coming here specifically to get work done. Unfortunately not the affordable hole in the wall coffee shop I was looking for, but the food quality leaves me grateful for the visit nonetheless. read more

Very disappointing. I saw the picture of the "New Yorker" which is a classic bacon egg and cheese and thought to myself there is NO way that this place could mess it up. Boy was I wrong. How they managed to make something so simple, unappetising is wild. They stuck one piece of thin, bacon,cheddar and an egg in between a HAMBURGER bun. Then microwaved it and pressed it flat as if that would make it taste better. For $6 I consider this a scam. The scone was fine (not exceptional), but the banana bread was dry (I would not buy this item again). The coffee is really smooth and great. However, my last experience there was not nice at all. I ordered a small coffee with milk. It was made rather dark so I kindly asked the girl behind the counter to please add some milk. After, there were some white things floating in it. I then asked her if the milk was good because there seemed to be things floating in my coffee. She walked over and looked and then checked the milk expiration date and said to me "it expires in a month" and then walks away. I thought she was rude. I'm almost certain that she and another employee kept saying that the milk was good right in front of me etc...I threw the coffee away and said I would just purchase another one hoping that the milk was good from another jug. She remade the coffee (with no charge). I don't think I will go back there for the reason that their service was POOR and rude towards their customers. read more
