It's a cute small cafe. The food wasn't bad, but I only got a plain bagel with cream cheese and bacon so you can't really mess that up even if you tried lol. My only gripe is the seating. Didn't get it again but when I had jianbing, it was just ok but not the same as we've had from Flushing, Bklyn. Inside is very cute and inviting, staff friendly! But overall the regular jian bian was bland & dry to me, not much sauce and rose latte was balanced but wasn't anything too special . This used to be my beloved weekend brunch spot, mostly not for the food but for the vibe and the server. Right now, on a non busy Wednesday morning at 9ish, cafe 1/3 full, ordered a fruit pancake (as usual) but it took forever to come! Was on video chat with family from the point I sat down after placing the order, and the screen time indicated it well passed half an hour before my food does finally come! Worse still! Took my wife for valentines breakfast yesterday, found them on google bye typing in "pink cafe" lol I actually was looking for a different spot but this caught my eyes and we took the drive from our house 30min worth the drive. The coffee and breakfast were delicious and fresh! The location had decent space to sit and eat and place was clean all around. Service was efficient. Only thing I'd would have liked was fresh bananas, this could be solely my opinion, but the bananas did not taste so fresh to me. The artwork on food and beverages were too tier! Terrible coffee. Water to coffee ratio is not proportional. Too much water. Pancake is good but for $7 with only two small pieces is way too expensive. They dont ask for names or give numbers when customers are ordering that's why they give wrong orders to customers. Interior decoration could have been better. read more

I really didn't want to write a review about this place being that I only ate here a few times and I only ever ordered their BLT. The BLT is on hero bread and it's amazing except for the fact you only get like 3 pieces of bacon on it. I never been inside so I can't comment on that. I've been coming to Pink Forest for quite awhile now. They are extremely respectful! There is one girl who works there and knows me very well and even goes to call me by my name, with the respectable title of "Mr." - but everyone who works here are coffee/tea aficionados. They'll be able to recommend something for you if you're not sure what you're after. Secondly - the coffee. And the tea, of course. Way better than Starbucks. Coffee and tea are fresh to order, with options to customize your beverage as you like; hot or cold, flavoring shots, or as custom as you can think of. They also sell bubble tea if you like that. They also sell breakfast and other food - bagels, oatmeal, danishes, etc. and even Jian Bing, which is a Chinese sandwich... a lot of people seem to like that, as most of the time, I see people order those. If you're lucky, they also have little desserts to go with your coffee/tea - typically tiramisu and pie. One time, I had a little fudge bar they make from time to time - but again- if you're lucky. Next; despite this place may seem small... it's actually very cozy. There's a nice little corner table with really comfortable cushions to sit on, right by the window. That's a favorite spot for most people. There's something on the menu for everyone. Food, beverage and dessert. A few other things I'd like to mention are some specialties on the menu: starting with their mojitos (non alcoholic, of course!) - with different options. If you order this, you'll be met with a very refreshing and satisfying flavor - as mentioned prior, you have flavoring options - passion fruit, lychee and one other flavor I don't remember... I think. The other specialty, is the fruit slushies - a perfect treat for those hot summer days. Mango, Passion fruit, lychee, and a few more. Final comments If you plan to come here often, inquire about the stamp card they have... it comes in handy if you do. Cute cafe - a bit pricey for what it is. The iced teas are incredibly sweet. - I had the strawberry green tea and my husband had a lemon iced tea. Both incredibly sweet. The croissants were all prepackaged and wrapped in Saran Wrap. They were decent. This cafe is super cute and pink like it's namesake. Not too small, but not too big with the perfect amount of spaced out tables. For the first time I didn't need the Wi-Fi, as I just popped in for a quick pick-me-up. But I did make a mental note that it is available if I ever need a spot to work at. My usual is a chai tea latte...but they were out of chai. I am always shocked when a place runs out of chai, but I guess it's more popular than I thought. I am definitely not a coffee drinker, but I was desperate for something to wake me up since I was super full from lunch and I didn't get much rest the night before. The staff behind the counter recommended the very popular pumpkin spiced latte, and at their recommendation I thought this will be the next best thing. I mean this in the best way possible, but this drink was tolerable. Since I'm not the biggest fan of espresso and ordered it out of pure necessity, I thought the pumpkin spice balanced the espresso well. I'm even more curious as to how their chai is. Me and my girlfriend decided to try this place after living in the area for a year and a half, once entering the noise level was almost silent. There are like 5 places where you can sit inside and 4 tables outside. This isn't a location for a get together or date since everyone was either reading or doing work. The service is straight forward. Order, pay and they bring you your items. But overall good service for their location. The food and drinks were amazing in my opinion. The pancakes were delicious and probably one of the best out of all the places we visited. I order the BLT but it did have onions which I didn't mind. It's hard to like or not like this place. But ... The draw and appeal lies in two things: it's location (right on Austin Street) and it's coffee house style set up for those of us looking for a spot to set up shop and work on our laptops for a little bit. The lack of appeal lies in it's mediocrity from the food it serves (do not order the dumplings they are god-awful. We spit them up and threw them out after the first few bites.) The coffee is typical coffee house fare that is pretty much found in any number of places in the 'hood. There's nothing standing out about it. I really do like-ish the spot because of it's convenience. But, the tables tend to fill up fast and patrons aren't all that apt to be accommodating for others to sit at the table too. So, a table that should fit six or eight is taken over by two or three. I'll still use it from time to time, but it's not my office out of the office the way I saw it my first time or that I had hoped it would be. read more

went here a couple weeks ago and just got around to writing the review, so bear in mind things might have changed. me and my brother went here as it looks pretty cute from the outside and we saw people eating inside the cafe itself. pretty cramped space but most people were there on their laptops. we got two drinks, i got an iced matcha latte and my brother got the ube swirl drink. the price was about 16 dollars after a 15 percent tip, which is very much so on the expensive side, even for a small business. but we said whatever, should be good. only after we paid we noticed there is a substantial up-charge per drink to have it in a to go cup, posted conveniently next to said to go cups on the very side of the register. i'll speak on the matcha because that's what i got. decent size for a large if i remember, but that's about where the nice things end. the matcha was light green and muddy. it was very, very milky and gritty. somehow tasted like nothing and bitter at the same time. probably one of the most heinous tasting matcha's i've ever had. my brother said his drink was also bad, but i didn't want to try it. pretty promising from the outside, a cute, little, cozy pink cafe; but the drinks were absolutely disappointing. maybe the food is better, but i don't want to pay to be disappointed again. read more

Pink Forest is an Asian bakery café which my mindset calls for an interim meal as I had no extreme hunger pangs for a full meal. Service is slow to fulfill orders. Seating is minimal. No facilities on the premise. Almond croissant $3.50 Giant size and almond filling was abundant and flaky. It certainly ate my fill for the interim. Iced Japanese green tea $4.50 Served in a large mug of Asian bamboo handle. The green tea was refreshing. I like this place. It's cozy, it's asian, and I guess it's eco-friendly since they serve you drinks in cute, quirky mugs. What more could you want from a neighborhood cafe? A great place to sit with your friends and catch up over coffee, without being rushed out. We each ordered a Jian Bing (I'm all about the good old pork floss!) but each felt that there could have been more flavor, or toppings/sauce. It was also a little expensive for what you get, but the wrap itself is quite large. That won't turn me away though, so continue finding me here for some good ol' tea and coffee in a quirky mug! 5 stars from me for Forest Hills. I've been here twice now and think it will become a weekly spot. I've tried their Jian Bing and their ham omelette - both delicious and super cheap (by cheap I mean a food option + beverage for about $10). I've also tried their chai latte (yummy) and regular coffee. The decor is cute and cozy, and I like that the place gets a great deal of sunlight (which is lacking in many storefronts on Austin St).
