I love Growler USA, my wife, on the other hand, likes Growler USA. Please note the only restaurant my wife raves about is Uncle in LoHi. The three times I have eaten at Growler USA the food was great and the burgers were cooked perfectly. My best friend is chicken finger snob (yes he is an adult and yes he is weird) and he says they have the best chicken fingers in town. My wife and I prefer lagers and pilsners and with most breweries, we have one or two options, with Growler USA we have a full page of options which is great! read more

Really generic place. Food is ok, but a really basic menu. Good beer list. But what really sets this place apart is the service. Or, more accurately, the complete lack thereof. Excessive waits for service every time we visit. Last time it was 15 minutes before someone came to the table to take a drink order and almost ten more minutes to get two beers. There were a few other tables, but the place was mostly empty. The two people working in the front were more interested in sorting silverware than taking orders. I like the beer list, but I'd rather go across the street to Hogshead and order food for delivery. It would be faster and taste better. read more

Really good beer!! Over 95 beers, wines, and ciders! Helpful and friendly staff. Directly across the street from hogwash Brewery. Very spacious inside and outside. They also have a pretty decent menu of appetizers, entrees, and desserts! This place is worth stopping by at the very least. I waited an hour for an order of a burger and wings. The bartender I ordered them from couldn't even admit that something went wrong. I watched three different delivery companies come and go and someone who came after me get served food before I received my food. On top of it the food was terrible! Stopped by after work for a brew. The place had plenty of seating inside (most people were outside because it was beautiful) so I plopped down at the bar. They have an extensive beer list and I can't remember exactly which one I ordered, but it was good. It went even better with the True to the Blue burger I ordered (the sidewinder fries are pretty cool, and tasty). The food was excellent and the service was great. I like this place. read more

What a selection of beers!!! This place truly has a wide variety of all types of beers and all different breweries. I absolutely love that it has the beer listed out by type (IPA, porters, sours, etc) and a thorough description of each. You can also try a flight that comes with about a 5oz pour if you can't make up your mind (we couldn't!) I also appreciate that there are "happy hour" beers always at happy hour price in the front of the menu We ordered the fried pickles to go with our beer flight and the the Odd13 fruited sour for round two. If you like sours like I do, this place has a wonderful variety. Very much bar food on the menu. Although they did mix it up with a pineapple forward on a special menu. The entire experience was good. The beer cheese soup was yum, the black and blue burger was delicious, and the pretzels were exactly right. My husband ordered a flight and loved it. One suggestion though, I wish they would put the beers in order of the way they should be drank (light to dark) as opposed to the order we ordered them in. But, that's not a big enough issue to lose any stars from us. 100% will be back to this place! read more

We have been so excited to find a new spot for our friend group - unfortunately this was the wrong time to get a first impression. Apparently the chef walked out...which led to waiting 1hr 20 minutes of waiting for our food, returning 2 items due to cold temperatures, not getting another item at all. The mac and cheese was far too salty, it was noodles and their "queso"- We did end up getting half off this item although we couldn't eat it in general and left it completely uneaten on the table. I gave three stars because I'm hopeful and will try again potentially down the line. They can't control a chef walking out, but the staff can control the communication in avoiding ordering under these circumstances all together. The waiter took the money + orders and only decided to not accept ownership once our experience started falling apart. read more

Wanted to got out to eat on a Friday (last minute decision) and this was the only place that appeared to welcome walk-ins in the Highlands. Not sure why b/c the food was delicious!! :) Brussels Sprouts were to die for - best I've had - and that's comparing it to Steuben's! It took over an hour from the time we ordered to get our food. We were there on a Wednesday, and they had "adult" bingo starting at 7pm, which was very explicit and not appropriate for children. We arrived at 5:30 and needed to rush out due to the delay. It would have been nice if they warned us given the explicit nature or would have made an effort to make sure we had our food with time to eat before 7. That being said, our server was pleasant. Love this place! We live a couple blocks away and order take out due to Covid out every few weeks. Everyone working there is incredibly kind and our food has always been right on time. Their indoor dining and patio is fantastic and it's a great place to catch a football game. Everything on their menu is really tasty - our favorite mains are the blackened fish tacos, Hot chip burger, Inferno Burger and Fish n chips. The sidewinder fries are amazing and so is the Kale Lemon Salad. I add chicken and it's SO good and also a large portion that I can save for leftovers. They also have a huge selection of draft beers. A great hang out spot for food, drinks, sports and trivia nights! Highly recommend! read more

Great beer selection! Server was super friendly. But sadly the food was not good. We had a wide array of food and the only thing anyone really liked was the tator tots (those were good). Everything else was mediocre. It's a cute place in a great location with great beer. And the Inventing Room is right next door, so that's a huge plus. Got a to go order from here. Caesar salad wrap was good. Fried pickles too! The burger was under salted and overcooked though. They asked what cook temp I wanted, I said Medium rare and got well done. It was pretty dry. Burger could've used more aioli too, especially to compensate for the overcooked and underflavored patty. I also called earlier in the day asking about patio seating and when I showed up they were booked out for a private party. This would've been good information to have been told on the phone before going there! I'll give it another chance though, I think I just had a one-off experience. Our server was very helpful and we were all very happy with our choices. Food was also Outstanding. I split a burger with my sister, the ground beef was cooked perfectly and was very tender. Growler is offering weekend brunch now till 1 PM and it's fantastic! There is plenty of room and you won't have to wait a hour for a table like so many other restaurants in the area. The SLOHI smothered burrito is on point with 3 different kinds of potatoes inside and your choice of meat- bacon, sausage, and bison are all great. The chicken and waffles are some of the best I've had with a sunny side egg on top. read more

C'mon Denver!! Why do we allow these establishments to charge so much for beer? I went with a buddy, who lives down the street, and we were planning on having a few brews. He wanted to check out the new spot in his neighborhood. I would have been just fine quaffing pints at the always enjoyable Hogshead Brewery across the street. Upon sitting at a fairly uncrowded bar at 5pm on a Saturday night I was immediately turned off. The cheapest tap was Stone IPA at $6.50 + tax. Completely ridiculous and I don't get it. This keg probably sells for $130, which then equates to a $676 gross profit on one keg. A very common, and highly produced, keg at that. Being a frugal guy, and against my better judgement to just go across the street, I ordered the Stone IPA. My buddy ordered a Porter that was over $9 + tax. We sipped those and did not stay for another. So they got us in but I can say, for sure, I will not be back. If you like overpaying for beer then check out Growler USA. If you're sick of this type of establishment taking advantage of our hard earned dollars then I suggest finding another spot to imbibe your drink of choice. read more

Growler USA does not actually fill growlers... Luckily they made up for it with a huge list of beers of all types and kombucha. We only had a few appetizers, but the rest of menu looked good too.
