From my first appointment with Dr. Shaikh, I knew that I had made the right choice. I actually have never had a primary care doctor take that much time to have a conversation about my health on an individual level. I really liked the doctor I had before I came here, but it was a totally different approach and she retired. I'm very glad to have gotten a doctor at SMA. When I needed some help right away, I sent a message and heard back within less than hour and easily got a prescription filled right away. So far, I am very happy I made the choice. Well worth the small premium you pay for access to a higher level of care.

Saw another reviewer mention a failed surgery with Keem and that "complications occur," as if this…read moreisn't what so often happens with Keem (I've met people who've known physical therapists who work with numerous butchered Keem patients at a time) - so I'm back to update my review. This is a placeholder until I type out another banger lambasting Keem for being a terrible surgeon. Keem told me my artificial disc migrated - in actuality, a team of Virginia Mason neurosurgeons investigated, and found the disc was installed in the wrong place (which took a while to diagnose, as Keem refused to release intra-operative imaging for close to a year). Entire steps of my surgery were skipped. And he lied to my face about it - and to the Polyclinic ... just before mysteriously leaving his cushy position as their sole spinal surgeon. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Keem is a lazy, incompetent butcher. I still experience daily pain and take daily pain medications after what he did to me as a young athlete. He mysteriously vanished from the Polyclinic after multiple government investigations of my surgery, including a winning ruling by the Washington state AG's office because Keem was double-paid by both me and my insurance, and his office said I'd have to sue him directly to be reimbursed. He's corrupt, and a liar. After some time floating around, it appears he's been hired by Swedish. They should be ashamed of themselves - I reached out directly to share the results of my surgery. Clearly, Swedish doesn't care about the longevity of their patients, or keeping them safe, functional, and pain-free. Keep in mind that this man has a long and extensive history of "complicated" surgeries, as well as kickbacks into the millions from the manufacturer of the only artificial disc he installs. (They also cover fusion equipment, etc.) I could find no other surgeon who only uses equipment from one company ... let alone ones paid by them on the side. More corruption to the absolute core. More coming. I have other reviews for him in my profile, including one in which I caught him leaving himself a fake positive review. Don't be fooled by this slimy, unctuous guy who has a long history of leaving his patients immediately post-op to go get paid by Medtronic while they suffer through permanent and life-changing complications. Expect a PA to see you for your first post-op appointment (dangerous and insidious scope creep, going against all advice of the American Medical Association), and expect them to misread your imaging and gaslight you about your pain because they have no idea what they're talking about. This is an established pattern of Keem's. If Keem has 5,000 haters, I'm one of them. If Keem has 1 hater, it's me. If Keem has 0 haters, it's because his rotten surgery finally killed me Lmaoooo. The problem with a lot of people is they do not understand that when something goes wrong, almost all of the time it has nothing to do with the surgeon performing the procedure. Things just happen. Dr. Keem has always been professional and straight forward with me as well as the staff that works around him. I knew the risks and accepted what happened as part of that but Dr. Keem is great. I'd go to him again (this was my second procedure with him...the first being 7 years ago). The staff at the surgery center was amazing. All of them were great compared to my previous visit. I'd like to give a huge shout out to all of those who cared for me but the one that stood out the most was Morgan. She seemed so much of a real person than a robotic nurse that i had experienced with my previous surgery. She was easy to talk to and seemed relatable to my life experiences. I began working with Janna Cuneo as my PCP in 2019 and followed her to Wise Patient Internal Medicine in 2022. She praised the clinic's model. The website promised coordinated care, same-day access, unhurried visits, and expertise in gender medicine. I was rural, disabled, and medically fragile, so I trusted her. That trust harmed me. The decline starting in 2024 was catastrophic. My blood pressure, critical with diabetes and kidney disease, went unmanaged for months. I repeatedly shared logs and asked for adjustments but was told to wait weeks or more. When she was away on one of her many unplanned extended leaves, I messaged her colleague, who immediately recognized and corrected the danger. BP management is basic primary care. Failing to control it shortens my lifespan. Prescription chaos was constant: refills late or wrong, doses increased by 50 percent when we had discussed 10, controlled meds in the wrong formulation and sent to the wrong pharmacy, leaving me without them during flares. In late 2024, I waited weeks for my estrogen refill only to learn she had prescribed unsafe oral progesterone, contraindicated given my family history of clots. These were life-and-death mistakes. In January 2025, I scheduled an appointment to align prescriptions with a new pharmacy and start a prior authorization for a med that keeps me out of the hospital. Despite my planning and over ten follow-ups, prescriptions still went wrong, and I ran out of several meds for a week. They didn't even start the prior auth for 2+ weeks. Staff brushed it off, suggesting I use GoodRx or skip the meds, as if they were condiments. In reality, I was left without life-sustaining medication. It was not just meds. This clinic bungled lab orders, referrals, and disability paperwork. I had to act as project manager to survive. Coordination, supposedly their strength, was nonexistent. Access was another broken promise. Messages often went unanswered for more than a week, sometimes not at all. I ended up booking monthly appointments just to force accountability for labs, prescriptions, and pharmacy info. Even then she failed to show up. In May, during a flare that nearly hospitalized me, she no-showed one visit without apology, canceled another last minute, and called an hour late to the third, rushed after hours, and mis-ordered my meds again. When I documented errors, she falsified notes with "as we previously discussed" about things we never discussed. At the same time, she blurred boundaries with her constant "friend" routine, using fake intimacy to deflect from the harm. This was manipulative, not care, and it deepened the betrayal. When I escalated to Sam Warren, the clinical director, his response was worse. After Janna no-showed me, he did not hold her accountable. Instead he asked me, a disabled patient in crisis, for advice on "best practices" for running his clinic. When I later formally requested reassignment to a safer clinician with interim coverage, his response was silence. No reply, no acknowledgment, not even basic decency. A clinical director who ignores documented patient harm is complicit in it. The impact was cumulative: unmanaged blood pressure, destabilized hormone care, lapses in critical medications, near hospitalization, wasted energy, and emotional harm from being gaslit by people I trusted. Janna loved to talk about "the system," how broken it was, how she was protecting me from it. The truth is that she was not protecting me at all. She became another cog in the system she criticized, incompetent and dangerous. Sam Warren's silence sealed it. Wise Patient claims all kinds of things. What I lived was chaos and abandonment. Behind the glossy promises, Wise Patient is unsafe and unaccountable.

The office staff is not the best at getting back to you, especially if you use their app...but they at least call with 2 options instead of just coming in with a post-it giving you a date and time, I'm sure this will possibly be updated post-op in a couple weeks. I went to Dr. Galle after suffering for years with pain in my wrists from arthritis. I had nerve…read moretests done elsewhere and a hand surgeon in AZ suggested Carpel Tunnel surgery. Dr. Galle said I did not have Carpel Tunnel problem and the surgery done for the issues I had were painful and usually not successful. Not what I hoped for. He suggested having aa brace made that I could wear at night on both hands. I made an appt and came back the next week for a therapist ( not sure of her job title) to make the brace. I worn them every night for the first 4 months. I felt no pain during the day and I do woodworking and work in my yard a lot. I now go for weeks without wearing them and have no pain. It would probably be smart for me to wear the braces once or twice a week. They do not interfere with me sleeping and I am not a good sleeper. I wrote to Dr. Galle to tell him that this feels like a miracle. I had tried many ready made wrist braces and they helped a little but I always had pain. I will go back to Dr. Galle to see if the braces need to changed at all. They were molded to my hands and wrists and have soft moleskin inside where my protruding bones hit the plastic brace. Dr. Galle was empathetic and honest. I am so appreciive that he did not try to convince me to have a surgery that had a low chance of success .

He was very helpful and kind throughout the treatment process, showing me the x-ray progress and discussing the stages of the healing process. Now, I am about 8 months post-injury, and have full mobility and no pain. I had a great experience and would highly recommend!

I had testicular cancer that metastasized to my spine, my T-6 vertebrae. I had Dr. Peter Nora as my…read moreback surgeon. What happened to me was that my T-6 had to be removed. Thanks to the cancer, I have a permanent partial spinal cord injury. Dr. Nora did an OUTSTANDING job on my back. The T-6 was replaced with a titanium spool that was encased in bone and titanium rods were placed in my back (thoracic region). I am alive, thriving, and walking today (19 years later) because of Dr. Nora's outstanding work. Thank you, Doctor, for your outstanding skill.

As they had an opening, I was almost immediately accepted into the private room. Facilities are clean, welcoming and efficient, albeit a bit small, but that is probably a plus. Quieting and comfortable. Dr Julie Duncan is very good, very professional and thorough. Open minded as well, to inquire and discuss anything. Very pleased. I would also mention the electronic system they used (MyChart) is quire convenient. Worked wonderful so far, and Dr Duncan is exceedingly efficient posting notes for me to check up the same day.
