In fact, it's booked eleven months in advance on weekends already. (If you're interested it's worth a call to see if someone cancelled.) I love their idea to have a long weekend wedding. With people traveling from afar for the wedding, why spend one night together. Why not spend a whole weekend together? There are hotels nearby in Troutdale 10 minutes away for older family members that can't camp or those that don't care for camping. Within a thirty minute drive are lots of hikes and waterfalls or downtown Portland for visitors to explore. There are numerous spots that overlook the Sandy River and the beach on the river has a pavilion with a giant fire pit and warming log ovens. My friends are planning a whole pig roast here. Up at the main lodge is the big hall with a hidden kitchen area. It has high wood beam framed ceilings with tall windows. It also has a nice back deck for enjoying the fresh air and cocktails. Behind the lodge is an outdoor pizza oven pavilion next to a charming grape arbor. I can't wait to use that! To the side of the lodge is a cute fishing pond fed by a natural waterfall with a gazebo. It's undergoing renovations right now, but will be fantastic when finished. The gazebo is apparently an awesome spot to put the bar so adults can mingle and relax away from where the kids like to cavort. In front of the lodge is a large lawn edged with giant cyprus trees, perfect for large ceremonies. There are also a couple of other nice locations along the river or in a meadow for smaller ceremonies. There's so many great spots for wedding photos, the photographer will go crazy: the grand porch, the waterfall, the grape arbor with twinkle lights, the gazebo and pond, riverside on the beach, at the caboose, or, heck, even shooting on the archery court. We will be decorating with twinkle lights near outlets, candles in mason jars hung in the trees, banners, garlands, and flowers, just enough to make the natural setting pop. Oh, and we will whip up a special flag out of some nylon and paint for the flag pole. There's basketball, archery, baseball, volleyball/badminton locations. I think it may be bring your own equipment or rent it though. I will find out and post an update. There seems to be good hiking through the fern forest along the Sandy. There's two classrooms where day care will be hosted by family friends over the weekend in case parents want to adventure. Other than the wedding day, time will be spent larking about the property perhaps even doing a scavenger hunt. Camp-style bunk-bed cabins can hold 144 guests. It's communal bathrooms, camp style, but the maintenance is good. There's a few rooms in the main lodge with an extra entrance of their own. Also, a caboose with beds is tucked in the forest by the archery range. If an arrow goes awry, the steel will protect you. You are also welcome to pitch tents where you like. They also just put in new mattresses on all the beds. It's going to be an awesome camp adventure wedding weekend. Going old school for the wedding!

We rented the entire camp for the weekend, including all cabins and most buildings for our guests, and were blown away by the accommodating staff, gorgeous grounds and rustic experience. Mary Jo and her team bent over backwards to answer our questions and schedule multiple visits over the year leading up to the wedding to allow our families and vendors to plan our event, and we couldn't have asked for a better wedding as a result. The nets, viewing area, and proximity to the bar make Woks deserving of that accolade. Be sure to check the schedule for when leagues are playing or you won't get a court. The restaurant/bar doesn't want Vball players using the tiny parking lot so you need to park in the neighborhood. Many homeowners have placed mobile concrete poles to deter parking.

We reserved the picnic shelter for a small family gathering today and were the first reservation of…read morethe day, arriving at 11:00 a.m. There were two other reservations scheduled after ours. When we arrived, there was trash scattered throughout the shelter area and surrounding grounds that appeared to have been left from the previous day. We ended up picking it all up ourselves and taking it to the dumpster before our family arrived. There are eight public restrooms at the park, and every one of them was unlocked and open. Unfortunately, all of them were in extremely poor condition. Only two stalls had toilet paper, and those same stalls had feces on the toilets and walls, making them unusable. This is a beautiful park with large open fields, a wonderful gated playground, and so much potential for families to enjoy. Unfortunately, the overflowing garbage throughout the park and the unacceptable condition of the public restrooms significantly detracted from the experience. I hope the park can improve its maintenance and cleaning schedule, as this is a community space that deserves better.

I went to TCBC as a kid and had a blast, I worked here for two summers and grew tremendously. Looking at it from a business stand point it is always growing and progressing, the new cabins and the activities they have whilst having counsellors take kids on hikes is something that truly makes a returning customer, but it also is the experience and the things kids and young adults learn that makes this camp what it is. It changes people, it changed me. I have several girls I stay in contact with even as they are heading into college, it is a truly humbling experience to have the blessing of teaching them that God loves them, that he sacrificed for them and they are forgiven. I am very impressed with how vested the community is in the organization, the diversity of the families and players, and a general good atmosphere. Lots of parental support in the stands and on the diamond. Great volunteers and a great sense of community elevates this group to one of the better we have experienced in the places we have lived and been part of.

We were looking for a venue that would be okay with us choosing the catering, and also definitely wanted BYOB to save on costs. Karen was extremely accommodating and excited from the very beginning! She was so easy to work with throughout the process and was super easy going and flexible. There were no hidden costs or unreasonable restrictions. Also having access to the venue on Friday to drop off all our stuff was a huge help! Our wedding was complicated, as we were blending Indian traditions with traditional wedding customs which involved a lot of planning and coordination, and everything went off without a hitch. When I arrived at the venue on the day of the wedding, everything looked more magical and perfect than we ever imagined. It was the best day of our lives and our guest could not stop commenting on how beautiful it was! The farm requires you to rent all your own tables, chairs, decor, etc - so be prepared to do some planning! We had a partial wedding planner - which was the best decision we made throughout the process - It would have been very stressful to make sure the wedding day went smoothly without some outside help. The coaches are very patient and helpful as they guide players on the semantics of Baseball. 20+ games are played every spring through a duration of a little over two months. Awards are given at the end of the season, and no player is left out. Builds courage and critical thinking skills as well. Maybe someday, my son will further challenge himself and go professional. I only ask in return for my support as a faithful father that someday, when he makes well over 6 figures, he will remember me and buy me a Ferrari Testarossa! No, wait.....make that a 427 AC Super Cobra. And maybe a house next to the beach?? no Wi- Fi, exclusively outside, and weather permitting
