You can tell by how the puppies/dogs respond around her. She is a very honest, sweet, informative doggy foster mom. She provided information from toys, food & extensive doggy tips. She is always responsive by phone and text. Even when I text her late at night, she is always responding! Before the actual adopting day, she would send you pictures of your puppy to keep you updated. Truthfully, she and how Art and paw animal rescue is ran, should be an example of how all the animal rescues should be. I adopted my puppy from a group of 9 puppies and she knew everything about each and every single one of them. One thing I appreciate about her is, she doesn't get motivated by money but rather she truly cares for the dogs and want them to find the perfect home. She really takes the time to find the perfect home for each dog! You will not regret adopting! Also her company is ran from donations so please head onto the website and donate (: Thank you Liraz for the amazing experience.

On last Saturday, we went to Petsmart to get some dog food and cat food. My wife found this lovely dog that she would not leave without her. Art and Paws Animal Rescue went through all the questions about our living environment to make sure the dog was going to a right place, made sure that we were committed, not compulsive and showed us the papers with medical history and everything. Lulu is so happy being with other brothers and a sister and fit right in without hesitation. There are some dog rescues that only concentrate on making dogs adopted but Art and Paws Rescue really care for the dogs and we felt the right thing as dog owners. I already sent them thank you email plus lots of pictures ans will follow up with them continuously. Great job "Art & Paws Animal Rescue" and thank you for letting us having Lulu.

They offer so many essential services to the community -- spay/neuter, a free community pet pantry, pet training, dog licensing, lost‑and‑found support, humane euthanasia, rehoming assistance, and more. Their impact is huge, and every bit of support truly matters. One thing I really appreciate is their Adoption Guarantee. If a pet isn't the right fit, they'll schedule an appointment to welcome the animal back without judgment. That level of compassion says everything about who they are. The El Cajon campus also has its own personality -- you'll often see turtles and even a few roosters around, which adds to the charm. The staff here is incredibly kind, and they genuinely value their volunteers. Jason, the Volunteer Coordinator, is especially wonderful -- supportive, patient, and so encouraging. You can tell he cares deeply about both the animals and the people who show up to help. Some meaningful ways to get involved include: Donating Volunteering Participating in Dog Day Out Supporting the Community Cat Program Fostering Adopting instead of shopping Spaying/neutering your pets Sharing their posts to spread awareness Every experience I've had at the El Cajon campus has been positive. The team works with animals in distress every day, and they still show up with compassion and grace. Our community is lucky to have them.

When I first got there it was a great check in process. Relatively fast even with others ahead of me and only one staff member checking everyone in. They did a great job with my pup. The only thing I felt rushed on was being explained everything and instructions for after care. I had paid, got my dog and then was brought pills and maybe verbal instructions. But my little girl was alert and rest to go and I was distracted by her a little to keep her calm after surgery so either I missed stuff or wasn't told some things. The only thing I wished is that they would have explained aftercare and handed me the meds and then brought her out.

See, my associate was lookin' for a new four-legged "enforcer," if you catch my meaning. I'll be straight with yous--I wasn't expecting much. A government facility? I figured it'd be all bureaucracy and headaches. I was ready to make a donation and keep it moving. I wasn't even really in the market to adopt, see? But let me tell ya, these people... they're the real deal. The staff there, they're not just on the payroll--they're made. Made of the good stuff. Incredibly helpful, extremely nice, and kinder than you'd ever expect. They answered all my questions without making me feel like a palooka and they handled the whole operation with class. The facility itself is what it is. It's an older establishment, you know? They're workin' with what they got. But you don't judge a book by its cover, and you don't judge a place by its linoleum. It was clean, and that's what matters. The process, though? Smooth. Very professional. No funny business, no hidden fees. I'm attaching the price sheet they gave me--everything's on the level, very reasonable for what you're getting. They made sure the pup and I were a good fit. It felt less like a transaction and more like... an introduction to the family. So now I'm a believer. I went in skeptical, and I came out a big proponent. This place shows you the great possibilities and relationships that can be made with a future family member. We couldn't be happier with our new associate. If you're looking to expand your organization, you know where to go. Tell 'em the Captain sent you. They'll know what it means. Capisce?

She argued with the dispatch on the phone who was trying to help me find somewhere to get this dog. She would have me drive all the way around San Diego because she was unconsciously biased thinking that dog was actually mine, and then I was trying to relinquish it however, that was not my dog. I feel like many rabbit adoption centers are very specific when it comes to their adoptions, but not in a good way. Shelly does not judge, but she does make sure that you're fit to adopt. She also does not pressure you into adopting. Luna (previous Dustina) is the rabbit I adopted and she has tear duct issues due to neglect from a previous owner (we believe). Though I came in wanting her for certain, I still wasn't sure due to her condition. Shelly assured me that I can do it but to think about it, just in case I was hesitant. I came back the next day and here I am with Luna happily, two months later. She gives you a box of hay, a care booklet, and a free veterinarian visit at her workplace. She basically gives you everything necessary in order to care for one of her rabbits, all you have to do is give it love.
