Jeffrey is a male lab mix and was 10 months old when he came to stay with me. When Jeffrey came to stay with me, I already had Koda, a male chow-huskie mix, four years old. About two months into his stay, Jeffrey became my forever dog. Also, at about that same time, Jeffrey and Koda began to get into some bad fights that needed human intervention to stop. My friend had taken her dog to Devotion to Dogs with great results, so I took Jeffrey for training. Jeffrey completed his training about one month ago and no fights with Koda have occurred after the training. Josh was great with Jeffrey and did Jeffrey's home visit. I am grateful and thankful to Josh and the whole team at Devotion to Dogs!!

Pictures show the small space my dog had while he was boarded there, which is definitely not a 6x6 space. He was in this space except when taken out to walk, treadmill and social interactions. In the kennel he had no room to move, stand on even surface or walk or lay down. The bed stayed in there so he couldn't move or stand on an even surface and the bed was too small for my dog as well. I picked him up this morning at 7am and he was in there as well. I am extremely concerned with the conditions my dog was placed in that I did. it consent to. This was not a temporary space for him but where he stayed when kenneled the whole two weeks he was there as the staff informed me there is no larger kennel space than this despite Ben telling me my dog would be in a 6x6 space. Accommodations were discussed and Ben told me my dog would be in a 6x6 kennel but his employees informed me at pick up the facility does not have any 6x6 kennel and my dog was kenneled in the attached pictures and not any larger kennel space. Ben informed me via voicemail the kennel he was placed in was "more than big enough for him." The attached pictures are where he was kenneled and no larger kennel space is in the facility despite Ben telling me my dog would be in a 6x6 kennel. I consented to my dog being in a 6x6 kennel space but was lied to about this by Ben. At pick up the employees told me the kennel in the pictures in the largest kennel in the facility, which is definitely not 6x6. Don't blame the customer for lying about the kennel conditions you placed their dog in. The pictures speak for themselves and this is not what was consented to. I trusted Ben with being truthful and proving g my dog kennel space he said he would get but found out at pick up I was lied to.

He…read moreis nervous around men, especially tall men, and was starting to get very overly protective of our home. "Boot camp" options seemed extreme, so I called Bark Busters (BB), seeking in-home private lessons. Justin responded the same day I left a message, and we talked about my concerns with our new rescue. I decided to try the BB program, which ended up being the BEST DECISION for my pup and for me! Justin set up our first session with trainer/coach James. James spent much of the 1st session going through the goals, objectives and concepts of training, including a timeline based on reasonable expectations of my dog. James spent a lot of time explaining how to "read" my dog's behavior, and how to properly respond. He explained the concepts behind each step, which helped me to understand not just what to do, but why (thus enabling me to understand how to deploy the training to different situations). James also set up scenarios to practice, going through each step so I could gain confidence in what my role is while helping my dog settle. It really is about training the owner how to work with the dog. James provided summaries of each session, plus videos demonstrating how I can use different responses/techniques to reshape how my dog reacts to stressful situations. I saw significant progress very early in the training, and was surprised at how quickly we were able to help my dog understand his role (and to feel safe) in our home. The best part is that if I need more help, I just have to reach out to James/BB and schedule more sessions - this is included in the initial program. Given that it takes a rescue dog a while to COMPLETELY settle in, new issues could arise as time passes, and if so, all I have to do is call to set it up. In summary, Bark Busters is a GREAT dog training program, and James is a FANTASTIC BB trainer/coach! Definitely recommend BB to owners that want help with their dogs!

I'll be totally honest: as a first-time dog owner to an Australian Shepherd, I was feeling a little underwater. That all changed the second I got on a consultation call with James from WhosWalkingWho.com James is one of those rare people who is just... real. He's straightforward and incredibly genuine. Right away, I could tell he wasn't just trying to "sell" me a package or take my money--he actually cared about my situation. He has this amazing way of explaining things that just clicks. He doesn't gatekeep his knowledge; he truly wants to hand you all the tools and resources you need so that both you and your pup can be the best versions of yourselves. I immediately gravitated towards her because she had a way of explaining things that made sense to me. We stayed in touch even after puppy graduation and I would text her from time to time to ask questions or stay in touch. I found her on social media and loved her training information. Then when my now 1.5 year old puppy was full grown and became harder to manage we got back in touch and she'd offer suggestions. Finally when she neared the age of 2 I realized I needed professional help Amillie came in and once again explained things even on our first session in a way I could understand and broke down behaviors for me. I actually have 2 giant breed Greater Swiss mountain dogs and she has helped me with training both of them. Mainly frustration reactivity for my younger female "puppy" and then being able to successfully loose leash walk both of them together (2 strong willed and physically strong, with a combined weight of ~200 lb) female dogs. Each time we meet I leave with so much information. She's been great and I only wish we started training them with Amillie when my girls were younger. You won't regret this partnership or Amillie's expertise. Training comes natural to her. It's a gift and that's with me already having had 2 large breed independent dogs before working with her!
