[[HIGHLIGHT]]Easily the best rescue I've ever spoke with. They focus more on finding the right home for their pets than just adopting them out.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]This meant they were honest and flexible.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love our little princess we got from Amazing Strays! We asked for a chill dog that was good with kids and they immediately recommended her. They let us foster to adopt to ensure she fit in well with our family and lifestyle. [[HIGHLIGHT]]It was an absolutely amazing experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

In response to the owner for my previous review (see photo), Your process must have changed because my pet did NOT receive all of those shots and was NOT sprayed/neutered. I was told it my responsibility on top of the $600 fee and I have emails to verify this happened. Also, I have firsthand knowledge that bios are altered bc when I considered rehoming due to the UNDISCLOSED behavioral issues I submitted a bio to include the issues. When they posted the bio (without my permission btw because I had not confirmed I wanted to Rehome), it was completely altered and said nothing about the behavior issues I also have emails of what I sent and screenshots of what was actually posted. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Transparently likely depends on who you speak to. Most of my interactions were nice and helpful but one person was really unpleasant and I have saved voicemails.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The foster told me the opposite of what was true.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] It's interesting to see how many "positive" reviews just magically popped up overnight but I'm glad to see that it does work for some people and pets despite the reviews attempts to discredit other experiences with no knowledge of the situation.

We saw Dulce by chance on a Saturday and picked him up late Sunday so we could start the spoiling

[[HIGHLIGHT]]The entire process was smooth, efficient and everyone was friendly from start to finish![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Lisa: Everything I wrote is true and accurate. [[HIGHLIGHT]]You smiled as you picked up the emotional support puppy I was working with my therapist as victim of RAPE! It was appalling![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The sheriff that accompanied you consoled me and was horrified by your cold and uncaring attitude.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Spin it however makes your conscience feel better. The sheriff and I know the REAL truth!

Leaving another review , have to say the 3 weeks of fostering the 2 sibling pups Bucky and Henry aka Spanky were hard but totally worth it ! Henry bear is now very well adjusted ! I believe the time with Buck really helped ! This little pup is going to be a great dog !

Thank you Amazing Strays for saving Bowie and making this adoption flawless. We are forever grateful. Thank you again

Their impact is huge, and there are countless ways to help -- no contribution is too big or too small. One thing I deeply appreciate is their Adoption Guarantee: If for any reason an adopter decides their new pet isn't the right fit for their home, the Humane Society will schedule an appointment to welcome the pet back -- without judgment or criticism. This level of compassion and support is rare and shows how committed they are to both animals and adopters. Some meaningful ways to get involved include: Donating money Volunteering Participating in the Dog Day Out program Supporting the Community Cat Program Fostering Adopting instead of shopping Spaying/neutering your pets Sharing or reposting their information to spread awareness The San Diego campus is next‑level -- very clean, modern, and thoughtfully designed. Across the county, they have four campuses: San Diego, Escondido, El Cajon, and Oceanside (Escondido has a great setup for livestock and farm animals). Every staff member I've interacted with has been compassionate and patient. They deal with animals in distress every single day, so a little grace goes a long way.

See, my associate was lookin' for a new four-legged "enforcer," if you catch my meaning. I'll be straight with yous--I wasn't expecting much. A government facility? I figured it'd be all bureaucracy and headaches. I was ready to make a donation and keep it moving. I wasn't even really in the market to adopt, see? But let me tell ya, these people... they're the real deal. The staff there, they're not just on the payroll--they're made. Made of the good stuff. Incredibly helpful, extremely nice, and kinder than you'd ever expect. They answered all my questions without making me feel like a palooka and they handled the whole operation with class. The facility itself is what it is. It's an older establishment, you know? They're workin' with what they got. But you don't judge a book by its cover, and you don't judge a place by its linoleum. It was clean, and that's what matters. The process, though? Smooth. Very professional. No funny business, no hidden fees. I'm attaching the price sheet they gave me--everything's on the level, very reasonable for what you're getting. They made sure the pup and I were a good fit. It felt less like a transaction and more like... an introduction to the family. So now I'm a believer. I went in skeptical, and I came out a big proponent. This place shows you the great possibilities and relationships that can be made with a future family member. We couldn't be happier with our new associate. If you're looking to expand your organization, you know where to go. Tell 'em the Captain sent you. They'll know what it means. Capisce?

When I first got there it was a great check in process. Relatively fast even with others ahead of me and only one staff member checking everyone in. They did a great job with my pup. The only thing I felt rushed on was being explained everything and instructions for after care. I had paid, got my dog and then was brought pills and maybe verbal instructions. But my little girl was alert and rest to go and I was distracted by her a little to keep her calm after surgery so either I missed stuff or wasn't told some things. The only thing I wished is that they would have explained aftercare and handed me the meds and then brought her out.

I feel like many rabbit adoption centers are very specific when it comes to their adoptions, but not in a good way. Shelly does not judge, but she does make sure that you're fit to adopt. She also does not pressure you into adopting. Luna (previous Dustina) is the rabbit I adopted and she has tear duct issues due to neglect from a previous owner (we believe). Though I came in wanting her for certain, I still wasn't sure due to her condition. Shelly assured me that I can do it but to think about it, just in case I was hesitant. I came back the next day and here I am with Luna happily, two months later. She gives you a box of hay, a care booklet, and a free veterinarian visit at her workplace. We got to meet a lot of adorable dogs, and one little guy instantly stole our hearts. What really stood out was how thoughtful and thorough TAP's process is. There was no pressure to adopt on the spot, which we really appreciated. After the event, we completed an application and received clear next steps. The following week, our foster brought him to our home so we could spend more time together. That confirmed everything we felt at the event. TAP conducted a home visit and checked our references, and it was clear throughout the process that they truly care about the well being of their animals and making the right match. Our foster was amazing, so kind and supportive. When we brought our little guy home, she sent him with his toys, some food, and a sweet note, which meant so much to us. Such a wonderful experience overall, and now our home is filled with love, laughter, and lots of snuggles.

Where do I start with the excellent care and customer service?! One of the many things I loved is that most of the dogs in their care are in foster homes. So there is so much time, training and attention to each pup that you simply can't get with a shelter. Breezy was mostly potty trained, had time around other dogs to learn how to behave, and so much was known about her behaviors and care. I just adored her amazing foster Mommy, Alex! She let us come to her home and spend an hour meeting both puppies (it was originally between her and her brother, Elvis, who is also a doll!!! Someone PLEASE scoop up that cutie!). I came with a list of questions and she answered every last one in detail and was so patient. I'm forever grateful for the wonderful love and care Alex put into my beautiful girl before I got her. From the application process to the actual adoption it was roughly a week and a half. I was surprised at how fast they were able to move and pleasantly so. I was contacted via email and text at all different parts of the adoption process by various volunteers- Joelle, Deborah, Jen, Alex and Breana are a few of the wonderful women I spoke to, but there was so many more involved. Each and every individual was knowledgeable on Breezy's care and her life before The Animal Pad. However short lived that was. Bree came spayed, had her first round of shots and was even microchipped! Which was a huge selling point for me. You know how expensive those all are out of pocket?!! It's worth every last penny of the $500+ I paid to know she was well cared for before I got her! She's the most loving and easy baby I've ever had! They even came and picked up the old things I had from my former soul baby, Adonis. It was heartbreaking to let the last reminders of him go. But I met some of the kindest humans in the process- Jen and her hubby. With an empathetic ear and even a hug I was left with a sense of comfort in that difficult moment. Knowing Adonis's things will go to good use is far more valuable than any monetary value I may have gotten for any of it. They were happily surprised at all that I was sending and came to me to scoop it all up! The Animal Pad is a rescue full of animal people who do this because it nourishes the soul! Not for profit! They do not discriminate if you live in an apartment, have had a bad experience where you have to return a former adoptee, are actively planning a family or any other reason that I'd been denied from two other rescues. I'd begun to lose hope in finding a new baby to love, until Animal Pad. Now I have the very best fit and I see clearly I simply wasn't meant to have any other puppers aside from Bree! We were meant for each other and she is deeply adored!! THANK YOU to everyone at The Animal Pad!!! You are one of the good ones and I'll continue to sing your praises to all that'll listen! I'm forever grateful to each and every one of you!
