This is a review of the bus and the routes, NOT about the people riding the bus or what to wear to…read moreavoid them. These are probably the nicest stops/stations, route mapping (there's an app for that), and on time bus/drivers I've ever encountered in the Western states. And I've been to a lot of them in many urban and rural areas. Excellent. The (choose your descriptor) people who happen to be on the bus are not a reflection of the transit district or the bus itself.

The station is clean and nice but the restrooms are locked (my Lyft driver said they had too many problems with people shooting up in there) so just ask the employees for the door code). The location is safe and rideshare can easily get to you. There's a vegetarian friendly restaurant 30 feet away, so it was a good place to get lunch before heading to our hotel. (Try their rolls with the butter because the butter is freaking good!)

The Amtrak station in Eugene, OR was our midday stop on day two of our Pacific coast journey from LA to Seattle. It was designated a smoking break stop, which meant we were there for 15 minutes. It was 40 degrees outside, and rainy Leap Day 2024. The station has a large outdoor parking lot and a red brick building that handles checked bags from the train.

60,000 crazy Duck fans with a few visitors thrown in = parking insanity. So we (probably) wisely…read moredecided to park and catch the Duck Express. $3/person roundtrip (exact change only) from a number of lots around town (see map). Parking by the stadium was around $20. Worked great getting to Autzen Stadium, but it took a horribly long time to get back to our car. We had to wait more than 30 minutes to board the bus, then it took another 30 to get back to our lot due to traffic gridlock. And did I mention that we were soaked to the bone? Funny how you don't feel cold in the stadium cheering for your team, but the minute you stand up and start walking, you are freezing. It was very well organized and efficient, just a crazy amount of people. Also, the return shuttle only operates during halftime and for 60 minutes after the game. So if you plan to leave before the game is over or party afterwards, this isn't your best option.

I ordered same-day 2-way ride. Everything went well. The pick-up at my home was 15 min. late but…read moresince I was going to a drop-off not an appointment, it wasn't a problem. In order to get to an appointment on time I will book the trip pick-up time earlier than I would expect it to be. The return driver went a step beyond what some others would do by coming into the building to find me since I wasn't waiting outside. As usual, he had texted his expected arrival time but I had my phone on mute and missed it. He was a little early and if he hadn't come inside I would not have had a ride home. He had my location so he knew where I should have been. Their dispatcher had logged in the floor and door number. I will use Oregon Taxi again

I honestly don't know if the 1 star reviews mistaken Cascade Cab for another service because I have…read morebeen riding with them for three years now and they have been nothing but phenomenal. They've waited through my flight being delayed, waiting forever for my bags and even when I had accidentally slept through my alarms and almost missed my flight. All of their drivers have lived amazing lives with so many stories to show for it. They always have a smile to greet you with and recommendations for the best food around town! Their rates are more than fair and I have never had any trouble getting ahold of them. Overall if you want to support a local business, pay better rates than uber, and meet some of the coolest guys on the planet, Cascade is without a doubt the way to go!

I would Suggest they add their pre defined stops on Google maps or another mapping service that has a mash able transit layer for 6 stars! When they stop at predefined stops(without the red flag) you DO NOT have to remain vigilent and flag them down...On the Oregon coast stops are few and far between so be sure and call with your exact location(with a safe pull off zone) along the highway if you want to use the service and be happy the first time..

On the plus side there is a small ($20?) cleaning deposit but no "1st & last month's rent", etc. so move-in is affordable. Rent is about average for the area. The rooms are fully furnished including a TV, mini fridge and microwave. The common rooms are comfortable. On the minus side, the kitchen and laundry are closed from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m., and when the house is full, 5 guys share a bathroom. The location is convenient: you can walk to the downtown area (U of O is a hike, but easy to reach on the excellent bus service); the house is on the major west-bound route with a bus stop almost out front. There is a good wi-fi connection for your pc and mobile devices. The owners live here, so maintenance problems are quickly taken care of. Street parking is available.

I felt safe and had the amenities of a house and was right next to a bus stop which was awesome. I was invited to eat dinner with Kip and Susy twice and it was very good and only $5. Both meals (Pasta and salad and french bread, and a Panamenian rice dish with chicken) were super good. Mr. Rice made a cake one night and shared it will all the guests which I thought was very sweet. The other guests were older and nice, one man was a writer who was very interesting. It was 100 times better than the hostels in Eugene and Portland. All in all, a very nice visit to Eugene. I will stay here again next time i come through.

The onboard staff at the food bar was friendly and nice selection. We sat in business for the legroom and enjoyed the air-conditioning and views. The train station had ample indoor seating and clean restrooms as well as friendly staff. A nice way to travel.

I've actually seen less people at the Portland station, which employees dozens of people. This lady did it all by herself! She deserves a raise and a promotion!
