Colleen G. Truly offered outstanding customer service. I know Enterprise says they offer "service with a smile," and she more than lived up to that. When I rented the car, she brought it to me in less than 15 minutes. I got the car I wanted and when I noticed it lacked a backup camera, rather than just apologize Colleen took the time to find the right vehicle with the right equipment. She didn't act bothered and actually made it fun. When I brought the vehicle back she remembered me by my first name... even 10 days later! I rent vehicles all the time and this was an outstanding experience from beginning to end and I cannot imagine a better ambassador for Enterprise than Colleen G. I would say she should be promoted to run her own location, but even better I think Enterprise should have her train other employees on how to make it so simple, easy and fun for the consumer. I spoke with Jay the manager and he was very nice also, as were the rest of the staff as I waited for the vehicles to be pulled around, but the star of the show for me was Colleen and I cannot stress that enough. I really hope someone from Enterprise headquarters sees this and she gets some kudos because she deserves it. There could not be a better face for this Enterprise office or Enterprise the company--you could put her in the commercials. I would pay extra to use this office and this staff versus other rental companies--but the good news is that they have excellent rates anyhow. Made a reservation 2 weeks in advance for a SUV Rogue / Something Similar! I did all their online request! However, when I got there, there was No Car! They wanted to rent me a Toyota Camry, or a Jeep Wrangler!!! I stated, " Neither one would work for me as I'm 70 plus yrs old"! However, I was made to wait as they were trying to find a car for me!! I stated to the young girl that worked there that I would not be giving them a good review/ but a scathing one! I jumped through all the hoops they requested of me only not have a rental car! What a HORRIBLE experience! We arrived on time for our pickup and they provided us a vehicle upgrade because what we purchased wasn't on the lot. We signed the contract, were provided keys and loaded up the kids and luggage. We were about to leave and the manager came back over and said oh well that van that came in will be yours instead. We waited another 30 minutes for a vehicle instead of them honoring the vehicle they provided! It's not upsetting that we were moved to another vehicle, it was just the entire experience was lacking communication, professionalism and customer experience. The phone number is local Eugene. I telephoned it to talk with someone at 810 W 6th Ave, Eugene OR 97402. I went through the entire phone tree, selecting the option for the local office, to get a rate. Then a robot asked me for the start and end date. Then after putting me on hold, it connected me with a man in a call center overseas. So their telephone tree lies to you. This is not a "promise to put you first." The guy overseas did manage to get me in touch with the local office, though. I had to wait a while. Bailey, the manager at the local office, told me that in future I should press star as soon as the outgoing message starts talking. So I give a score of 1 to the website but for the local office I give a higher score. read more

We picked up a Fiat Panda at the Heraklion (Crete) Port office. The next morning it would not start; the battery was bad. After much argument Enterprise finally sent someone out with a replacement car, but we lost half a day of our vacation waiting around. Then upon return to the States, I reserved a car online for pickup at SeaTac airport and return in downtown Eugene OR. However when I tried to pick up the car I was told that a debit card was not acceptable for one-way rentals, only a credit card; we do not have a credit card. There was nothing in the reservation process that mentioned this stipulation. Furthermore, the Crete reservation was made with a debit card with no problem (car was returned at the Chania airport). The result was that I was forced to go to another rental company (Budget) who did accept my MasterCard debit card, although of course since this was not reserved in advance, all the economy cars had sold out and I had to rent a large vehicle at twice the price I'd budgeted for. Plus because Budget has only an airport office, this added a lot of time and hassle to the final leg of my trip. I will not be using Enterprise again and will not recommend it to anyone. read more

We had a reservation set up by our collision company 2 weeks prior to when we needed to pick up a minivan. However, 2 days before the arranged day, an agent called to confirm the date and time. As there were some small changes to the reservation, Chris told me everything would be fine and we would have a van on Friday. The next day they called back and gave incorrect info and asked when they should meet us that day. I reminded them of our conversation the previous day and they seemed confused. They also changed the pick up time on Friday from 8:30 to 10:30, which would force us to use an Uber to get to them as I had to work and could not help with coordinating the van pickup. The day we were to pick up the van, they told us they couldn't find one for us. As we need a van to pick up our child from college across the state, finding this out at the last minute was awful. We are now forced to drive our wrecked van that has been deemed unsafe across Oregon. How can you run a business like this? Do better. read more

I've rented at this location 8 or 9 times and have always had a good experience. The staff may vary, but they're all very friendly and professional, and I've gotten surprise upgrades which turned out to be hugely helpful. They gave us a van with 2 small spots cracked on the windshield. We however did not notice when we got the car because it was raining and dark. They did not have us look over the car and note any damages. Of course we had an ice storm when we were there and the 2 small spots turned into large cracks from the ice. This happened in December and everything was noted and nothing was mentioned about further action being taken. It is now February and we just got a bill for a new windshield. So, you gave us a damaged vehicle and are making us pay for the ice storm damage that only happened because the windshield was already compromised. Enterprise you suck, but I'm sure you already know that based on your rating on the BBB. Also, don't bother trying to phone the actual airport location, it's basically impossible to get through to them. Costumer service isn't their forte. read more

The service I received from this particular enterprise and their enterprise customer service representatives was great. My car ended up being in the shop for much longer than I believed it would be. And so there were a few times I needed to extend the rental and they were happy to do so. And when I returned the rental because my car was being worked at at another shop and I found I could get another one for cheaper, they happily accepted their rental back and drove me over to Kendal Subaru when I requested. That level of customer services is remarkable. If I ever need a rental again, this place would be my first call. read more

As of today I have been waiting for a month a a day for my security deposit to be put back into my account. I returned my rental on November 27th and as of December 28th have not received it back. I spoke to the location where I rented it, they gave me zero information and zero help and diverted me to the enterprise customer service phone number. I've now spoken to customer service 4 times with 2 different people telling me corporate would call me immediately to resolve this , which they haven't. When I originally returned the car they took money off my deposit to gas it up, so its strange that someone would have the ability take money off the deposit but no one knows whose job it is to return the deposit. We are getting to the point now where I am considering legal action; it is frustrating to me that I have been put out a couple hundred dollars during holiday season and one of my only recourses for a response is to leave a bad Yelp review. read more

I'm very sorry to say that Enterprise truly let us down. We reported a ding on the undercarriage of the front bumper over rental car and promptly filed a claim and all the proper paperwork with the Enterprise at this location and our insurance Allianz. Enterprise has not responded to Allianz request for; A Demand Letter (document from the Rental Agency listing damages, charges and/or expenses for which they are seeking compensation) from the Rental Agency. An itemized statement of repairs for the rental vehicle has been requested from the Rental Agency.@ I've made phone call after phone call and sent many emails to resolve this and after almost 4 months I am weary and frustrated. I've been assured multiple times by Allianz they contacted Enterprise...Enterprise just says their guess is Allianz didn't dial the right number. Come on??? DO NOT EVER Rent from this location. I had a car reservation booked. When I arrived to pick up the car, not only was the rental agent extremely rude, but they didn't have a car for me! They said I could pay $300 MORE to upgrade to a premium but otherwise I was out of luck. I was stranded with a toddler. I called enterprise customer service and they told me the same thing- i was just out of luck. They asked me to get the agents name to file a complaint. When I went back and asked for her name she flat out refused to give it to me. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I have rented from this Enterprise location a few times in the past 6 months and have received excellent service each time. Employees were quick, professional, and courteous. The first time I rented a car there, a couple of the tires were under-inflated, so I asked them to fix that before I left--I waited a few minutes and everything was squared away. I've always gotten a call the next day to verify that everything is going okay with the car and reservation. Matt S. got it right when he said that no matter when you reserve a car, and no matter how reassuring the person at the front desk is when you phone (2x / month before your trip), they simply will not guarantee the type or presence of a vehicle you get when you show up. In fact, they will not make good on ANY promise they make to you over the phone. In my experience, it's best just to show up with some sort of tasty treat from Sweet Life (just a block or so away), gird yourself with a patient attitude, and hold on for whatever ride they're gonna take you on. Now, I have rented cars from this Enterprise at least 15 times over the past four years. I love supporting their downtown location. I've grown used to the fact that the cars won't be squeaky clean when I pick them up. I've become accustomed to all-too-common lack of staff in the office. But, I hate the fact that I have to be so anxious before a trip because I don't know what gas-guzzling or other type of vehicle I'm going to be forced to take. The last straw for me happened just this past summer, when not only were we forced to take a much larger car, but we were also given a two-hour run around. It started when they sent us to the Garfield location to see if they had a smaller car (really, you can't just phone them?). Garfield didn't. Then we came back, and when we were signing paperwork, we saw that the coupon my Man had used when he booked the rental wasn't accounted for. The woman helping us said, "sorry," but the coupon would have saved us approximately $50. At this point, it became all about the principle of the matter. We pulled up the coupon on our phone. She denied us. Said she wanted to see a paper copy. We asked if we could open up the coupon from one of their computers. She said, "no." So we went home, printed out the coupon, received the discount, and finally hit the road. Vacation off to a rough start. Fortunately, I'll have some time to cool down before my next trip. I'll probably try to be zen about what type of car I get. I'll remember that the most important thing is just getting to where I need to go. I will print out the coupon before leaving the house. It will get better... Side note: My last rental experience here was actually pretty good, but I am 99% sure that's because it was booked through a corporate account. read more

Pros: The rental was cheap: $31 for the weekend with unlimited mileage. It took only about 10 minutes to get the car, and I had a choice of several popular brands within the "compact" classification. Pro/Con: When asked to inspect the car for damage, I found very small scratches all over the car. The employee refused to mark them down, saying they were too small to qualify as "damage." I was quite concerned, and stressed about it the whole weekend. In the end, I was not charged, but that did little to relieve my anxiety. Dirty Rotten Con: Rather than charge my debit card for the actual $31 rental fee, without telling me, they took $250 out of my bank account and charged back the rest later. Bank charged me an overdraft fee. In effect, that more than doubled the cost of my rental. Beware! read more

Pros: Rentals are affordable and the vehicles are nice. The few staff members at this location are very friendly and helpful. Con: This particular office is located near downtown and is a very busy location. Unfortunately, there are not enough staff members. I was unable to get picked up to get my rental car, and they were unable to give me a ride back to my office after dropping the car off. My office is relatively nearby, but I ended up having to walk and take the bus both ways - not a big deal, usually, but I had knee replacement surgery just two months ago. read more

I've used enterprise for years, but no more. My daughter was rear ended in a very serious accident. Insurance chose Enterprise in Springfield for the rental car while the shop was determining if the car was a total loss. My daughter couldn't find her Florida license and enterprise said they couldn't rent without license in hand. We explained we be back the next day with an Oregon license. When we arrived there were several vehicles leaving. When we went inside they said they had nothing available to rent. I jokingly said something about all the vehicles leaving already. She said no, those were actually going to a lot for sale. She then called Eugene to see if they had any cars available. We were told they had two cars available. Springfield was too short staffed to send someone to pick up the car, and Eugene doesn't pick up in Springfield. Springfield got on the phone with Eugene manager Christian explaining she was giving us a van to drive over and pick up one of their cars and to have everything ready because my daughter had a very important job meeting in an hour. We get to Eugene and are told they don't have anything. I get upset at this point explaining this was all prearranged on the phone. He said it'd take him 10-15 minutes and he'd figure it out. Then he starts asking why we don't just keep the van. I say I'll just call Springfield and find out what's going on and who they spoke with. He walks out saying there's no problem he's taking care of it. I then find out he's the manager Christian that Springfield had already spoke with. Another employee leaves saying he's doing a ride back, leaving Christian alone. Then two guys come in to pick up 5 cars. Christian gets on the phone saying they'd already picked up 8, then another 8 a half hour ago and he doesn't have the 5 for them. When he gets off he phone they all walk outside. The phones start ringing and no one answers. This goes on for about 20 minutes when the guy that did the ride back returns. At this point my daughter is late for her meeting. We ask how much longer and are told Christian is out cleaning the car. Ten minutes later my daughter goes out to ask Christian how much longer, and he's not even there. We've told him how important it is that we're out quickly, and then he leaves!?!? We then ask the other employee if we can just get the keys to the van back and then come back after her meeting. He calls Christian and tells us he said he'd be right back and that he also has the van keys with him. He finally shows up about 5 minutes later with a dripping wet car. Really!!!!??!! We're in a hurry and you take off in the car to wash it. We didn't even want to talk to him at this point so we took keys and left. In Springfield we were told everything was set to go in Eugene and we should be in and out in 5-10 minutes top. We were there for 45 minutes. I've left a message for christians manager, but there is nothing that will ever send me back to enterprise in Eugene. read more

So we called Enterprise and talked to Holly who was so helpful, she came and picked my friend who was renting the car from our hotel the rate was under $60 for 4 days! Yes, they may not have the EXACT car you booked, yes they will try to acquire it from the other location, yes they will offer you a 'free' upgrade (usually to a less gas-friendly car), but they ALWAYS try to make things right and getcha to drive away happy! Dudes Michael and Jeff always keep it proper for me! Somebody give em a damn raise!! Again. renting a car in Eugene? Check Priceline for a price, then call em to book direct and honor whatever price is on Priceline, its usually the same anyways! Went to Enterprise after having trouble renting a car from another rental place, they were amazing. I'm only 21 so that makes renting a car in the first place difficult, and I was also under prepared for renting a car as it was an unexpected situation but this enterprise worked with me on every level. They were extremely helpful, patient, and accommodating to my circumstance! We made a reservation after coming back from Eugene Airport because it was closer to where we stayed. When I got there, 5 other people were waiting for a vehicle. This was on May 3rd, 2019 around 4pm. Why would the online have car was available when actually not? No explanation what so ever. I feel bad for the workers there dealing with angry customers. We rented a car at the Airport instead. It was also $30 cheaper. We learned our lesson. Always try to rent from the airport. After talking with my friend that we were staying with, we found out It happens a lot a this location. So stay away from this location. This location also closes at 5 PM on Friday. They also couldn't drive us to the Airport for our car, which was a bummer. Probably they wanted to get off work. read more

One major problem. When you read the rental contract for this location, it states that the vehicle may only be driven in Oregon. If you drive up to Seattle or down to Redding you will be in violation of your rental contract and therefore may be uninsured. They don't tell you this when you book or when you pick the car up - you only find out when you read the contract or have a problem out-of-state. Other than that it was fine - car was clean and new and staff were efficient ad friendly. read more

My mother in law rented a car a couple of days ago online and we told that the car would be ready for her today at 12 today. She called to confirm this morning and was told they didn't have a car ready yet. She spoke to Zach who assured her they would have a car for her. We gave them extra time to get the car here and showed up at enterprise at 1:30. We had a tight turn around because we needed to pick up the kids from school. When we arrived an hour and a half after when we were supposed to to give them extra time to get a car over, there still wasn't a car ready for her. We spoke to Christian who said he would try to get us a car but couldn't explain why there was no car available despite being promised a car at noon. He kept saying they were just really busy today. He said it would be a brief delay, but when I questioned him on what a brief delay means he said a minimum of a half an hour. This is completely unacceptable. I now have to leave my family here by themselves in a city they don't know waiting and waiting for a car that may or may not arrive. I feel very uncomfortable having to do that because I need to pick up my kids from school and take them to their afternoon activities and it is possible now that my husband will have to come back to pick up his mom at the end of the work day. This a senior citizen will be waiting here for hours with no car. Just unacceptable. In the future we will find an alternative car rental company. Stranded while waiting for them to pick us up within the reservation time established (a service this company supposedly prides themselves on providing),hung up on while attempting to discuss this with one of their "professionals" after they confessed they didn't even have a car on the way, and then finally the misfortune of dealing with the apathetic and disrespectful Jordan and Emily. This could have been deescalated with (1) a simple courtesy call explaining the situation and (2) a sincere apology and owning of their mistake. Instead, their strategy featured attempts to pass the buck, expressing an attitude of "so what?" and even saying to me, "this is the reality of the situation". Very poor display of professionalism and pathetic representation of Enterprise as a company. Needless to say we cancelled the reservation, and have no intention of dealing with Enterprise again; paying more for respectable people that also respect their customers is more than worth it. read more

So I'm not a typical rental car user. I actually only rent cars every now and then so it's always kind of exciting when I do. I needed a rental for a business trip out of town so like every other young responsible professional, I called a week in advance to make my reservation including a pick up from my house. The day before my pick up I called in to just double check my reservation and to confirm the pick up time. Between cramming for and taking 5 finals, packing, getting all of my paperwork together a pick up was a god send. 2 pm rolled around with no knock at the door, or car out front and I started panicking. I call in and start freaking out on the poor guy on the other end. Apparently someone had entered me into the computer as a "maybe" reservation...aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!! The young man (the manager) calmly looked into the situation and made arrangements for someone to come out right away. I was picked up and taken to the enterprise office where the young man who I had been on the phone with accommodated my whole panicked situation calmly and with so much professionalism that I almost almost forgot that I was beyond stressed out. Well when one thing goes wrong, everything goes wrong right? So my card that I had used to confirm the reservation was not being accepted by their system. I almost passed out, lol. But the young man that was helping me out was so amazing, he thought outside the box and took care of the whole situation without losing me as a customer and getting me into a car and on my way as fast as possible. So thank you to the 6th street Enterprise manager and the young lady that picked me up and eased my stress considerably!! read more
