Don't do it! I already knew that Greyhound is a terrible bus company actually from trips I had on the East Coast. However, I was forced to take it after Flix bump me from my original bus that was headed to UCLA and placed me on this bus ( their partner in the Bay Area). As a disabled passenger I know that I have certain rights and unfortunately the bus driver was not willing to abide by them/ ADA . Bus driver had an attitude and was arguing about the placement of my wheelchair and could not guarantee reimbursement if it was damaged. She was literally was acting as if I didn't have a disability because I was standing at the time and walking. Not all wheelchair users are wheelchair bound . Some are ambulatory and can walk short distances. But anyway, this bus line is not worth the hassle. I know she hates her life personally, but please don't take it out on passengers . The only positive aspect was that the pick up point was right in front of a Oakland, West Oakland BART station so that I was able to easily take the next train to SFO and book an airline ticket. The last minute airline ticket that I paid which costs $80 more is worth it knowing my wheelchair will being handled with care and consideration and that I also I will also be treated like a human being . read more

Funnily enough, Hayward Greyhound bus station is really just a little brown shack in front of the Hayward rapid transit station, that connects it to San Francisco and what not. It's right in the heart of downtown Hayward, which is very useful, but it doesn't have much of a station really. The train station is the station, and the buses just happen to stop out front. read more

Sent 6 packages from NY to Hayward using busfreighter (chose the option to pick it up at my NY apt) and they all arrived in one piece! Great responsive lady at this Hayward location. I called her 3 times this week because the tracking said all packages arrived but only 3 boxes arrived first and she was very nice in handling my questions. I just got off the phone with her because we were using the express shipping for a last minute package we wanted to get here same day. She was helpful, patient and really knew her stuff. Let's just say we were a handful trying to scramble to get the package and not once did she become agitated from all our questions. Never again will I ever take Greyhound anywhere. Wifi DOES NOT work in the bus as advertise, seat were horrible, the bus itself smells of a mixture of urine and strawberries (kinda messes with your mind a little bit). The station that I boarded was sketchy at best. No lighting, hood rats walking around, no type of security what so ever. This stop maybe fine in the day time. But at night, I would not recommend it for anyone. Unless your packing heat!!! bang-bang Unless your in an absolute budget and it's extremely last minute trip like this quick trip was. I was would find something else. Amtrak, Megabus, lyft, über... Something. I'm not sure nor do I want to know what it feels like riding in a grey goose. This greyhound bus station is an old janky building. There's two nearby benches were Greyhound bus waiters can sit on and like 3 seats inside the greyhound station. The bus itself was nice and got to my destination in a little over 10 minutes than what it said on the paper. I will use Greyhound Bus Lines only if i have to. read more

A vendor that I do business with decided to ship me some product via Greyhound to this terminal. The shipment was supposed to be overnight and Greyhound was to call me upon arrival. Half of my product showed up and Greyhound called to tell me this and said they'd call to confirm when the other half arrived later that day. A week went by without a call and I've spent the last two days calling their Greyhound Package Express phone line without an answer. I still don't know if my products have arrived and can't get a hold of anyone to confirm. DO NOT use Greyhound for shipping! read more

Bad experience as a first time customer. I bought my son a ticket from Hayward, CA to Monterey, CA hoping to use the E-ticket option. First off paying and extra $18 to pay for my son's ticket is completely ridiculous! Why are you charging me to pay for someone else... I do not have a working printer, so I wanted to buy an e-ticket for him. This didn't come up as an option so I chose will-call thinking he could pickup the ticket at the bus station kiosk. He arrived at the kiosk an hour early (5:30am) only to find out the kiosk doesn't open until 8:30am! WTF... so I ask him to look at the will-call email and there should be instructions how to get the eticket- NOPE! So my son calls the customer service and they tell him to show the driver his confirmation email. The driver barely let him on the bus. What a cluster F this morning! I'm on the phone trying to help him. Thankfully he finally got on the bus and is on his way, but what a run around to deal with! You need to fix the e-ticket option especially if you're going to charge an extra $18 for another party to buy someone a ticket!! read more

I'm just giving it 3 stars because the lady behind the counter was helpful and the driver taking me from Hayward to Oakland was really nice also. She was really great at customer service. Too bad she can't teach Oakland some manners, Bus driver nice too but his bus was end of line at Oakland and "stinky". Now location and building. Hayward greyhound is in a great location during the day. Stores restaurants and shopping short short walk and I felt safe. Subway, Starbucks, Panda Express, grocery. Nice. Also. Super easy location to get to from Bart. Walk out of Bart station and it's immediately to your left. Now...your outside waiting on the bus. The ticket counter reminds me of a shed and that said that was all that was wrong. read more

This is a small location located on the edge of Hayward Bart. Most people in the East Bay Area usually leave out of the station in Oakland, however, being that I live in Hayward, this location is very convenient for my guests that travel via Greyhound. I went to this location to send a package via package express and I was pleased with the customer service. I only give this location 4 stars because due to the fact that it is small, it is lacking some of the other services offered by larger stations (i.e. Western Union, ATM, food, microwave, and an area to sit). read more

Bus was extremely late it was not on time. Wanted to buy snacks but didn't take Visa cards only cash. Poor service!

Beware of this location. Im shocked this place would even be considered a bus stop its very small. I got dropped off here and to be honest it was 4am in the morning and still dark. I didn't really want to get off here and the bus driver told me not to worry that its a safe place. It was not a very good area so that being said if i was a single female i would not want to be here alone. I kept thinking i was going to get robbed at one point due to the homeless people looking at me. Greyhound surprises me more and more every day. read more

The staff here were professional and nice. Unfortunately, the infrastructure sucks... they dont have enough shade for people. There isnt any vending machines... there isnt any place to charge your phone while waiting and it doesnt perform well against the elements like wind rain or sun. read more

Do not trust Greyhound package express. Shipped 3 boxes of tools from Hayward to Great Falls MT and only 2 arrived. It's been 3 weeks now of trying to get someone to help me or contact me and nothing has happened. No one seems to know what is going on and the 800 numbers are a waste of time.
