Staff is very rude here no reason to get an attitude over me asking where I'm boarding at

Got into St Louis and after re boarding, we didn't think the bus was going to make it out of the terminal. Then the driver went west instead of going east. We were already running late and the driver didn't seem to have any clue where she was going. Pathetic and totally unprofessional! read more

I wish I could give this company no stars. They are eager to sell you a service that they don't intend to provide. The last two times I tried to ride the bus from Rolla to St. Louis in Missouri, the rides didn't happen and I was out the money for the tickets. Because Greyhound doesn't do refunds. You might get a credit, but it will cost you money to use the credit, and you will still get stranded at the stop. Anyway, each time I was stranded, the other stranded passengers and I had to order a Lyft ride to St. Louis, which is about $180. Split between four stranded passengers, that is about the cost of our bus tickets. We used Lyft because we purchased the initial bus tickets for a reason. We had to get to St. Louis, 120 miles away, for reasons like: air travel, train travel, medical appointments, and other related "big city" business. Trust me, if Rolla had a train station, none of us would consider Greyhound at all. After being stranded by a driver or drivers who just drive through the parking lot without stopping to pick up passengers, I'd just as soon pay the local airport shuttle service for a round-trip to STL. As paying passengers we deserve service and respect--period. I'll pay more to actually get where I need to go. Heck, I'll hitchhike if I have to. As G-d is my witness, I'll NEVER waste my money on Greyhound again! read more

Two hours late departure STL to CHI on 12/28/2018. I completely understand that the driver has to rest, and that delays happen. But there was no attempt made to contact passengers to let them know, and no way to get that information from the website. Megabus isn't perfect either, but at least they have this figured out. And they're a much newer company. read more

Worst experience ever!!! There for 2 hours trying to pick up someone. The staff was clueless and RUDE as can be. The bus was 2 hours late, and they couldn't even tell you why. Bus is running 2 hours late. Plus we tried to switch the station for our return trip, and they won't let us. Won't change the ticket. Won't refund the ticket and let us buy a new one. Nothing. Pretty good as far as Greyhound terminals are concerned. Places to eat, employees were pretty friendly, clean(er) than most of the stations I've been to, and the driver was seriously friendly. Out of my trip (four different terminals), this was by far the better one. read more

I want to rated 0 star for the bus #7270 from St.louis to chicago (departed 7:10 pm, thursday). The bus driver is rude speech and his bus was delay more than 40 minutes. This bus was suck (no power outlet, no wifi, light is not on after we was boarding). This isn't deservered to my money at all. I do know that Greyhound service is good. But your company need to get away from those drivers like this and improve your bus service....... read more

They cancelled a trip, told me to call, when I did I told them I wanted the refund because the trip wouldn't have mattered at that point. I had to send a request for a refund that I already told them I would be refunding. And now it's been two weeks and still haven't received a refund. They do this too much to not be able to send my money back. You can take it out of the account within seconds, no reason why I need to wait this long for a refund when it was THEIR FAULT THAT I NEEDED IT. How can you all cancel a trip and not be able to refund a person over you alls problem? And then god forbid you call them to get any information because there isn't a number apparently and whenever I send a 'feedback', no one contacts me. Poor business practices. I will never ever use greyhound again. I would rather walk because this is ridiculous and I have already contacted a lawyer because of it. I'm sick of it. read more

Well it all started when we left West Virginia. We were supposed to have a one and a half hour layover approximately in Indianapolis and it turned into a 5 hour layover. The really bad part started when we got to St.Louis. there was supposed to be a 1 hour and 50 minute layover the bus left after about 30 minutes with all of our luggage on it. Stuff below the bus and on the coach. Keep in mind this wasn't just us there was approximately seven other passengers this happened to I spoke to four myself. The lady behind the counter hadthe gull to blame us for the bus leaving. One might think that they would get us on a bus relatively fast but that was a 13 hour layover and the new route they put us one takes us about 7 hours longer to get to our final destination. The entertaining part was I got to see the police arrest two guys I guess that should make you feel safe LOL. Last night we were somewhere in Texas and the heater went out for a bus so we rode in the cold ice box of a bus all night long to Albuquerque New Mexico. Even the driver was complaining! Mind you our jackets were part of the luggage that they took with them on the other bus. We are extremely cold and there are sick kids crying. We had continued to call Las Vegas which is our final destination to see if our luggage had arrived. They have never confirmed that they do have and have stopped answering our calls. They're working on fixing the heater now so this one hour layover will probably be longer as well. Heck one of the guys luggage they took off with was blind. If this is how they treat a customer with a disability then imagine about how they will treat anyone else. For the most part myself and the other people I see are poor and this seems like it's literally just a war against the poor. Every terminal I have been in I have heard similar stories from passengers on other routes. I used to hitchhike with Truckers and had better service. And this just happened! We took off from Albuquerque I'm out on the road I driver got sick from being in the cold last night turned around and went off on an ambulance! I hope we find all of our luggage but if we don't I just read their policy and they are not responsible for our carrying ones. Furthermore they would only have to compensate is up to $250 for the bags under the coach that were checked in. The things we had our way more valuable than that. #Greyhound sucks. We were given a voucher at the last bus station because of the lousy service. The voucher was for food and they said we could use it in any Greyhound station. We are currently here in Flagstaff and they won't take it big surprise! We finally made it to Vegas finally and no big surprise we didn't get our luggage well we got half of it but the other half we will probably never see again. This is insane! I took the Greyhound bus from Kansas City to St. Louis. Typically, I prefer to use public transportation and I'll admit I just love trains. However, the Greyhound bus' far cheaper price tag was alluring--and so I gave in. I'm sad to say I had an awful experience riding with the Greyhound bus lines, and would not recommend it to anybody in a similar situation as mine. The bus driver stopped multiple times for her own personal bathroom breaks; sometimes stopping the entire bus on the side of the highway. The bus was filthy. It stunk as well, just as both the stations in Kansas City and St. Louis do as I could go on, but at the end of the day, all I can say is fuck the Kansas City-St. Louis Greyhound bus. read more

If I could give this company zero stars, I would. The customer service is not just lacking, it is NONEXISTENT. I bought an 8:30am ticket heading to Chicago last Sunday, and had a horrible experience. Here's a timeline: 1. Before leaving from the county, I did not receive an alert that the departure is delayed. 2. I arrive at the station around 8:15am and learn that the bus is being delayed until 10:30am. 3. 10:30 rolls around, no updates. I go up to the service counter and told the bus would leave at 11am. 4. 11 comes, no update. I go back to the service counter and I am told from the attendant (very rudely) that the bus driver is "on the way". No estimated departure time is given. So the bus is there, but Greyhound did not schedule a driver?! 5. 1pm. I'm visibly upset at this point. We were supposed to arrive in Chicago at 3:25pm. I bought $200 tickets to the Kevin Hart show in Chicago for that night. The attendants tell me to talk to "Tonyah" the manager. She is nowhere to be found. 6. 1:30pm. I see the bus driver arrive, but no information is provided. There is a backup in the gate area and another attendant rudely yells that the people waiting for the 1162 bus are in the wrong line. "Go outside", he says. Outside? To where?! 7. A couple other passengers and I eventually find our bus. By 2:30pm, we are finally on the road. 8. Arrive in Chicago around 9pm. Lose out on my tickets to the comedy show. No refund or compensation is offered. I will never ride Greyhound again unless it's the very last option. Absolutely terrible experience. Greyhound, feel free to contact me and maybe I'll adjust this review. Until then, I'll publicly denounce your company to anyone willing to listen. read more

If you have a schedule to keep do NOT take greyhound. I am currently on the worst trip ever cause every bus i get on either breaks down or is running behind schedule. I already had to change room reservations and cancel tickets for attractions i wont be able to make it to, costing me hundreds of dollars. I also had to spend 14 hours and sleep at the bus station cause drivers dont communicate with each other and missed my transfer by 16 min. read more

I have been riding on the greyhound bus for 3 years now. I go from St. Louis MO to Memphis TN. I visit my son and his family once a month. Since it is only a 5 and a half hour trip, weekend trips are possible. However, the schedule from St. Louis to Memphis and back has been changed. The new schedule makes it impossible for me to have weekend visits to Tennessee unless I want to travel over 12 hours there or back or take a day off work. Since neither of these options are possible, I have no choice but to start taking the Mega bus. I realize that you cannot accommodate everyone but the buzz at the station says you made a big mistake. I was very happy with the service and smiles of all the employees at Greyhound ( especially the drivers) and am very sorry that I cannot continue my visits to Memphis TN. on Greyhound. read more

Greyhound gets you to your destination but the service is far from satisfaction. Drivers, ticket and luggage handlers are impatient and often times rude when you ask questions or even get in the wrong line by mistake. I arrived in St. Louis and was gonna transfer but when they didn't give me back my luggage I thought maybe I was re boarding the same bus. I didn't want to take the risk so when I asked for my luggage they were stubborn to comply saying it's on the other side when I was looking right at it when they closed the door. They gave me attitude when they finally handed it to me and when I snapped at one of them, all three of them got hostile and started scolding me for being disrespectful saying I better watch it or I'm gonna be stuck in St. Louis. ALWAYS KEEP TRACK OF YOUR LUGGAGE!! Even though it's their job, do not expect them to keep it safe for you because they do not care if it gets lost. read more

Pretty terrible experience dropping off my boyfriend here. The station area doesn't have clear signs where to drop/ pick someone up and one of the security staff of Nov. 6, 2014 were really rude to both my boyfriend and I. This is how it went. I was driving in and there was a sign that said 15 minute parking and my boyfriend was just going to go in and pick up a reserve ticket before leaving an hour later. so we pull in and he jumps out. The moment he does so, one of the security guards starts barking/yellling at him saying "you can't park here" I get it and I apologize, but she keeps yelling at my boyfriend who was the passenger. She continues to yell at him outside the car without even talking to me (who I am the driver) From the car because I wasn't parked yet, because all of this happened so quickly, i was saying in a calm voice for the woman to talk to me and not my passenger. Anyway she was getting madder in a matter of seconds and shouted, "I'm giving you a ticket for parking here" to my boyfriend who is not the driver. I shouted to my boyfriend to walk inside to get his ticket and I will take care of this and he did. The moment he left, I told her she should have approached me. She agreed and didn't write me a ticket and said, "you seem reasonable enough" Long story short, it was a terrible experience and not the experience I want before sending a love one away. Good news though, my boyfriend said the staff inside were nice and helpful. read more

Worst experience ever, never using greyhound again. And I will make sure anyone I know won't use them either. We were scheduled to head to Carbondale. Left from Illinois to St. Louis, we stopped in champagne, il and were told that the bus wasn't safe to drive. We were delayed 4 hours in champagne. We arrive in Louis and were stranded because the bus to Carbondale already left at Louis. I asked the bus driver what was going to happen because we were going to miss the bus leaving from st Louis and he told me that they were going to take care of it with Amtrak. We arrived in St. Louis, went to the front desk and weren't offered a solution.We spoke with corporate and they said to stay the night and get on the next bus from St. Louis to Carbondale. We went to the front and received a reimbursement for our tickets and went to a hotel for the night. The next day we went to the train and they did not let us board because we didn't have a ticket, we told them the situation and they still refused. We went to the front to repurchase tickets. Went back to the bus and the driver refused to let us on for no good reason. We were stuck in St. Louis because of grey hound for 2 days without any direction or help. This company is very unprofessional. I am going to follow through with complaints and will take this negligent company to small claims to if I have to. The company will fail, they gave no sense of what the world customer service means. I suggest any other company than greyhound. The security at the station was agreeing with us and told us all the stories about how grey hound does this to people all the time. The police were called because they left us there with no were to go In a city we were not planning on being without any help. The police were also telling us a story about a man that was dropped off in the middle of no where because the bus driver thought that the man was "acting funny" , turns out the man was diabetic and passed away and the company is or was sued. first let me say I had to ride from some part of Tennessee in the rain! the freaking window casing was not connected bus 7190 out of Atlanta at 445 am then it stopped raining just by the time we made it into Kentucky it started again but the kicker is there was no where to move me to because the bus was packed to capacity! so I had to sit in a wet seat all the way to St. Louis, I get to St. Louis greyhound go directly to customer service speak with a rep Angie she looked at me like AND??????? the she cut me off gave me a post it note with a number said your next bus leaves for Kansas City at gate D so I gather up my 3 grandchildren eleven, five and one year my daughter and feeling embarrassed my clothes are wet the blankets are wet my phone will not power on to get all my soggy belonging to the gate for this lady name Merinetta the supervisor! yell out oh naw! who does this stuff belong too..........I explain to her I got directions from Angie and miss supervisor let me know right away I'm her supervisor! I'm like really??!! to my long story short I get home thank God call customer service today to tell them what happened they tell me I was suppose to do a claim in St. Louis!!! but Angie didn't tell me that!!!!!!!! I was there over a freaking hour in soggy clothes lined up like I was waiting on something free i paid almost $529.20 for this trip ONEWAY for 4 people and was treated like I was abused! but never again! read more
