We figured Utica couldn't be THAT BAD for a quick overnight trip, so we gave it a try. The hotel is located close to the main highway, was nicely maintained, and had friendly staff. The room was clean and had a large bathroom as well as a mini fridge and microwave. There's a guest laundry area on the second floor, which is great if you want to pack light and wash clothes while you're there. They offer a very modest free breakfast from 6am-10am which includes things like muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal and hot items like eggs, sausage, and waffles. There are also several resultants, take away spots, and gas stations in the area making Utica a convenient spot to stop.

Breakfast. Well it wasn't the greatest. Very basic with cold eggs. Worst though were the sticky covers on the toppings for the eggs, like the salsa and shredded cheese. Three kinds of pasta, prime rib, turkey, three kinds of mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, cheese, bread, chicken fingers, mac & cheese, etc. Some of the food had clearly been sitting for a while, making it a little dry, but there were also some really good bits. The dessert bar was particularly fantastic. The meal was good enough that my husband and I were very pleasantly surprised to stumble upon it while staying at the hotel. We also had breakfast here. Again, some of the food had been sitting for a while, lessening the quality, but we both walked out satisfied. They advertise a champagne brunch, but this didn't seem that nice (nor were we offered champagne). ... which leads me to my final point: Because the Garden Grille is part of the Radisson, it doesn't really operate as a fully functioning independent restaurant. We were again at the Radisson this past weekend, and they were closed for dinner because of a wedding. Then on Sunday morning, they did not seem to be serving brunch at all. Maybe there's a schedule we're unaware of, but it seems that their hours of operation may be a bit spotty for dinner and lunch.

I have gone to this location every year to rent a premium SUV for one day use. I made my…read morereservation in May for July. My reservation was set for pick up at 9 AM on a Saturday morning. At 4 PM the Friday before I got a call from them indicating that the vehicle for me was out with another customer. It would not be returned until sometime Saturday morning, which left me to guess what time I would be able to pick up the vehicle because they could not give me a time. I not only spoke with one of the employees at the Herkimer branch. I also spoke with the Herkimer manager, and then the branch manager. They had absolutely no solution for this and expected me to change my plans that I had. The only accommodation they provided was "we will allow you to keep the vehicle Sunday as well", which did not help. I did not need the vehicle on Sunday. I find it hard to believe that a company this big has only 1 premium SUV in their fleet. I ended up having to cancel my reservation and rush to find another vehicle elsewhere!! There are many other rental companies in Utica. I highly suggest going to them!!

Don't go here, go anywhere else. I had a rental truck for over 2 months while mine was being worked…read moreon. At the 8 day mark I was called and told my truck was totaled and I had to return the rental truck, that was a lied. My adjuster told me not to return the truck. After 30 days enterprise wanted their truck back because I was still paying insurance rate. Insurance rate was $40, customer rate $70. They started harassing me about once a week. They would call me, ask me if they could charge the truck in advance for the rest of the month. They told me "we need to have eyes on the truck" as if they didn't have a credit card on file that could buy that truck brand new, twice, which was still getting billed daily. Then the guy threatened me saying "we're canceling your agreement with us you have to bring back the truck or else, I said "or else what, here how about we just get these all in writing that way it's legal" he said "no we're doing this right over the phone" I said "ok then consider this harassment and any other contact will be considered harassment" as I'm hanging up I hear him say "this is not considered harassment" These people are weird. Genuine trash to deal with. Trying to intimidate someone because you want full rate for the truck is crazy. I wonder how many people this has actually worked on. I returned the truck after 70 days of rental, my truck still isn't fixed right so I'll need another rental and I promise I'll never give this company another dollar after their bs and hope no one else does either.
