Greystone Pharmacy is by far superior to the large Pharmaceutical companies who hardly know your name much less how to accommodate your needs. The pharmacists are phenomenal and really care about the clients. I drive one hour and forty five minutes to get my meds filled, I appreciate their service that much. Horrid! Greystone Pharmacy was told to discontinue medication delivery at least seven times but failed to do so. When I called to notify the manager that another charge had hit three weeks after they were informed to stop delivery because the client was no longer living at the address they were delivering to, I was put on hold for about 15 minutes. When I finally got back through, the staff person who answered the phone was very rude, though granted I was upset by this point. Greystone was continuing to deliver to a client who had been in the hospital (not living at the delivery address) and had since deceased, despite being told over and over again to stop. My advice is that if you are on prescription auto-renew with them, check your accounts carefully, especially after you've told them to discontinue auto-delivery service. If I could give them no stars, I would. Horrible. read more

Greystone Pharmacy is amazing! If you are tired of the "big box" pharmacies that care more about $ than people, make the change today! You can forget about hearing that your RX will be ready in a few hours which often happens at other places. I have never waited more than 5 minutes, even when it was just sent in! The people are friendly and caring! Sometimes, you may even find a little treat in your bag! I had been meaning to write this for a while, but was quickly reminded why they are so great when I had a RX sent to the 3 letter pharmacy yesterday. In the end, I spent several hours and drove over 60 miles all around trying to track down my RX after showing up before closing time, but they were already closed and having my RX sent to another one of their stores. Greystone is not open on the weekends, which is perfectly fine, I just needed something on Sunday. Next time, I will do without and wait for the world's greatest pharmacy, Greystone! read more

I get two prescriptions compounded here every month. EVERY month there is an issue. I call to tell them I only need one, I still have plenty of the other...they send me both. I call to request a refill and tell them (at least twice) that I need it mailed...they call two days later to tell me I have a prescription ready to be picked up. Usually when I tell them AGAIN that i need it mailed they finally mail it. Btw, i live 45 minutes from the pharmacy and ALWAYS have my RXs mailed. I asked if they could note in my file to always mail them but it continues to be Groundhog day every month. There are more examples... it's extremely frustrating. Sometimes it takes 3 phone calls to them to get something filled and mailed. I'm trying to find another compounding pharmacy with similar prices. Some are double the cost for the same scripts so I'm still using Greystone. Their prices are good, but their customer service is the worst!!!! read more

My household has used this pharmacy since they opened, and it truly is like a "Mom & Pop" business in the old days. Bryant is very personable & knows most of the customers by name, and the techs who work there have been there are long time, which shows there's not high turnover. They, too, are familiar faces who know the customer base. I *will* say that success is unfortunately causing the business to lose some of the "Mom & Pop" charm they are known for--as they get busier, there's less time to deal with customers & it can feel rushed just like the chain pharmacies. Also, they put their "Covid shots" sign out when they open at 10, then say they don't give them until after 12--so don't put the sign out until 12! But that's a minor hassle. Nice locally owned independent community pharmacy. This little pharmacy is located in between the Food Lion and Gonza Tacos y Tequila in Greystone Village off Lead Mine Road. They have a guaranteed 10 minute prescription turnaround. Other services they offer? Immunizations, free delivery, medication review materials, and pet medications. Open everyday but Sunday. I asked what sort of Vitamins they would recommend for some issues I'm dealing with and the pharmacist came out himself to help me locate the right supplements. My only issue is that their products seem to be a little more expensive than places like Walmart. I just didn't have the time or energy to go into Walmart so my stop in on Friday was a nice little change from the chaos of corporate America. Cheers to local. read more

I hate to see negative comments about this place, bc they are such a personable and hard working place. However, like any other business, they're going to have imperfect experiences I suppose. In nearly 4 plus years of my ENTIRE family having our scripts filled here, not one of us has ever been greeted with an attitude or any kind of negative energy. They actually always appear to work very hard to please their customers. Please know the health care system is in a CONSTANT changing loop (especially health insurance). Like an unreal amount of fluctuation and change, that most professionals don't have to deal with, and this affects them financially and emotionally. They get no explanation either, then they have to tell their customers how the price and/or coverage has changed and take the brute of it. They also try and accommodate their customers financially. Brian is a major jerk. I am looking for a prescription that was transferred to his pharmacy and before I could tell him why I was calling he told me he couldn't help me. He told me to find my doctor and have my prescription resent. The doctor and the pharmacy have closed, and they sent me to you. The least you could have done was tried to help me. I can't even go into all we discussed while I was in there, but he was interested in taking care of my entire family and healthcare as far as prescriptions go. I absolutely love this place. I first selected this pharmacy because I support local independent businesses as much as possible. It was absolutely the right choice. Brian always greets me by name and takes the time for some friendly chat. Every one on staff that I have interacted with is equally friendly and helpful. If my doctor is late sending in a prescription, Brian or one of his staff follows up by calling their office for me. Brian also suggested local doctors when mine retired. Greystone Village Pharmacy offers local delivery if needed. They offer flu shots, and will also offer the COVID vaccine once it becomes available. Bryan promised me that he had been contacting my doctor - "every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for two weeks," he claimed - for prior authorization for a medication which had already been approved and Greystone had been supplying to me for months. When I called my doctor, they had not heard once from Greystone regarding the prior authorization. Within minutes after I spoke to the doctor's office, Express Scripts contacted me telling me that the prescription had been approved. I had been coming in twice a week for two weeks asking for this prescription. On the day after the authorization went through, I got an automated call from Greystone telling me to come pick up prescriptions. Well, I get there and ask for the prescription, and after weeks of me begging to have this filled I got, "Sorry, we have to order it and we'll have it tomorrow." Christmas and birthday cards are probably good marketing, but I just want my prescriptions filled without the hassle. read more

This pharmacy operates with ridiculously outdated technology, yielding a disorganized, haphazard visit for each script. Pharmacist McGaughey claimed he was trying to synchronize my regular prescriptions, but I invariably made several trips each month while he failed to do so successfully. (Harris Teeter achieved this aim in my first 2 months doing business with them.) My last transaction with Greystone Village Phar. went as follows: Customer made inappropriate comments to me when I asked if he was in line (there is no designated 'line' at the counter), as I started my purchase, another customer re-entered the store, body-blocked me at the register, and walked out of the pharmacy with $330+ in pain meds. Finally reaching the register, the cashier asked me about my shirt "Neverthless, she persisted". My answer was the turning point from which McGaughey started refusing me service. The next time I went in, he claimed that a regular medication I take was on permanent backorder: "You need to go to another store". A week later, his assistant told me she could order that med immediately. I asked if she needed to check on that status...She looked at McGaughey and he said "No, that is permanent backorder". I filed a complaint with the NC Board of Pharmacies; 8 months have passed and I have received NO written communication from the Board. Whether refused for service b/c of my political views, or b/c my prescriptions were not yielding him a profit, refusing service is grounds for closure! I cannot recommend anyone conduct the private, important business of medication management with such a dishonorable pharmacy. read more

I switched to Greystone Village Pharmacy to support local businesses. When they opened, I went in to buy Advil and ended up switching ALL pharmacy business to them. Since then, they've blown me away. In a day and age when pharmacies are so restricted and general healthcare is so regulated, I don't have to worry about ANY of that anymore. These folks have bent over backwards to accommodate me - I can't say enough about them...professional, yet personable. They know me, they don't ask my name...they just get my Rx. They ask me about my family, my work, my travels - this isn't just small talk, it's a genuine care for their customers. I'd recommend them to ANYONE without thinking twice. read more

Very disappointed. My doctor gave me a prescription for compression stockings. I went to Greystone because of the excellent reviews. When I got there, they said they didn't need to measure and that I wore a large. Then she said insurance didn't cover it and she retried from the hospital and knew all the rules, she then proceeded to say they only cover JOBST stockings which you only get at hospitals after being discharged. I purchased them and then when I got to my car, I called the Family Medical Supply Store in Cary. The person who answered said they have them and would need to measure before purchasing. I went back in to Greystone to return stockings. The lady acted dumfounded. When I drove to Family Medical Supply Store, they measured me and said I was a petite medium and was able to get the stockings. I can not believe Greystone Village Pharmacy, will never return. They were not busy so not sure why she couldn't take the time to measure me. read more
