I highly recommend Paws Place Grooming! I've been taking my pets to Stacey for over 10 years, and she has always been incredibly patient, caring, and loving with all of my animals. It's clear how much she truly cares about every pet she works with. I wouldn't trust anyone else!

I called and got an appointment the next day. I told them I wanted my schnauzer shaved all around but to give her the puppy cut on her face and questioned if it was really a schnauzer because she doesn't look like one? So first impression already was off. They said they would call me when she was ready for pick up but it was close to closing time so I called them and asked if she was ready they told me 20 more minutes. They do have wash stations available and specials for different days of the week. I picked up my dog and her cut was okay. They didn't give her the puppy cut on her face.

We took Daisy today our 10 month English cream golden. Love this place the owner is great and really takes good care of the dogs. Great customer service. It's been 8 years since we have had a dog when we had our other two Goldens we took them to paws place in the old location. Was so happy to hear that the person that took care of our old dogs now is the owner. If you're looking for a groomer that you can trust leaving your pets with, this is the place! Thank You !

The staff is very friendly, the shop was clean annd well kept and they treated my fur baby, Bear so well. I know this because he was so excited when I picked him up with his tail wagging. To me that told me he was happy and felt great afterwards, because that's how he is when we bathe him at home. But being a 1 1/2 year old Cane Corso, he's a little much to bathe ourselves, so I'm extremely glad I found Paws Place Grooming and we will definitely be back. read more

Stacey has been grooming all of my pets for years, and they always turn out amazing. I truly wouldn't trust anyone else with them! The DIY tubs at the new shop have also been a total game changer. The staff here really stands out. Brianna always goes above and beyond to make sure my pets are cared for, comfortable, and loved, and Nicole is always so friendly and welcoming. The best groomers in all of San Diego! Excellent job with my pups. Great prices, amazing professional and friendly staff. I was shy at first with all the different products but the ladies answered all my questions and helped guide me using the DIY dog bath with all the necessary soaps and tools to get the job done perfectly and even did his nails for a few bucks extra. This place is awesome. They truly thought of everything! I chose to do the self-serve bath it's $18 except on Tuesdays and Sundays. It's only 12. That's an awesome special! Next time, I'll definitely choose to go on those days! The tubs are large and clean. They give you aprons to be able to wash your dog as well as gloves to scrub them. There's pre-wash special tear free shampoo for their face shampoo and conditioner, as well as ear cleaning. They truly thought of it all in my dog came out, sparkling, clean, and a happy good boy. Staff was super helpful with any of my questions. There was also stairs to get in and out of the tub for my large dog, as well as for me to step on to get the other side of him. I highly recommend if you're looking for a do it yourself dog wash! read more

i've only brought my pups here a few times. they did good for the most part. i just wouldn't recommend near a holidays they were so busy that they returned my dog partially wet. Which i've never met anyone who loves the smell of wet dog so i was disappointed read more

Would recommend this groomer. My Human booked my appt on Monday for a shampoo and nails. I was so happy with the staff they were very gentle and did a really good job! The pads on my feet are so soft and my coat is shiny, soft and I smell good! I can't wait to go back. read more

I was referred to Stacey by a friend, and I couldn't be happier with her service! She is sweet and kind to my dogs, both of which are rescues and have some "quirks." I have been taking Callie and Basil to see her for their grooming since last year and have always had a positive and wonderful experience. She is prompt about getting back to me when I want to schedule an appt and is very flexible with my schedule. I was very nervous to bring my Maine Coon anywhere to be groomed for the first time, but Paws Place did an amazing job! I was so happy to see how calm my cat was when I came in for him and they were finishing up. They trimmed off the perfect amount and shaved his behind area where he needed it most. I was concerned it wouldn't look good since my cat has so much fur, but you can't even tell he was shaved unless you look for it! I will definitely be coming back and will take my second cat as well, once he's a little older. Would definitely recommend Paws Place to everyone! read more

Not so sure I'll be back. Location is a good one but believe the recent reviews with low stars. It's been several days since I brought in my large dog for a nail trim, and I'm still a little upset and disappointed. I came in on a Sunday mid morning and the lot was empty and no one really around so I approached the door and noticed a note in all caps stating they were slammed today and don't call to check on your pet. Well call you..... I've pet sat for YEARS and I wouldn't dare tell an owner not to call no matter how busy I was. In that instant I knew I wouldn't bring her back for a bath. -50.00+. Once inside a young lady asked how she could help. I said I'd hoped to get her nails trimmed. She took my dog back immediately and I was upset when the handler opened the door to the back of the salon to walk in, she nearly let the door hit my dog when they walked back. My dog was noticeably nervous from the loud dryers, she'd never really been around that. I would've appreciated some kinder manners from the staff. I am glad I didn't go in the back I'm sure I wouldn't have liked they way they handled her. NOW. I'm no sissy and I have logical consequences for my dog. She is not spoiled like most. Nail trim was 5.00. Good pricing and easy in and out. When I saw the good reviews and the nice store front on yelp (they've since moved HERE). I was gonna maybe shop a bit since they seemed to have a nice little shop and I love supporting small businesses. This one however lost my sale of maybe 20-30.00 more dollars since their new storefront was unwelcoming, cluttered and had no flow. Overall they lost me as a repeat customer even before I walked in AND on the UPSALE of toys or cute things I knew my dog would love. Their wasn't much to choose from. I wouldn't take your beloved here. read more

We love the groomers here. They're always nice and helpful. I took my Gabriel in for a bath and trimming. The lady who took him knew exactly what I wanted done without asking me. Of course she explained it all before I left him so there was no surprises. My husband takes his Javanese dog and his hair is always beautiful when he picks him up. read more

Stacey has been grooming my dogs ( a dachshund, a chihuahua and a poodle mix) for eight plus years. My dogs love her. She is kind and loving to them. Even when my chihuahua tries to bite when getting her nails trimmed, she calms her down and gets them trimmed. She let's me know when she finds new bumps and skin tags on my poodle mix and also if their ears need a vets attention. Stacey has always been caring, kind and loving to my dogs. And every animal that's comes to her for grooming. read more

Ever since moving to San Diego, we took him to the La Mesa Petco where they did a horrible job. I am very picky with my dog getting groomed, but I am so beyond happy with Alexis and the service she provided my dog, Gussy. When I booked the appointment everyone was very friendly at this spot as well. Also it is very CLEAN here as well. I highly recommend checking out this place. You will not be disappointed! The last time, the young woman at the front desk (I'd already noticed she was in a terrible mood) simply yanked my dog by the leash, and he slid along... until he was inside his cage. She showed no care or love for the animal. I always ask them not to express the anal glands or remove the hair from inside their ears. This last time, he came back all scared, with his anal gland very red and a lot of rash, and now he has an infection in his anal gland. NEVER AGAIN.

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Paws Place Grooming. I brought my lab in for grooming on Friday 5/22/26. By Monday 5/25/26, I noticed a red spot on his right hip area. Due to Memorial Day weekend, I had to wait until today, Tuesday 5/26/26, to bring him into the vet to be seen. What I initially thought was a small irritated red spot turned into a widespread infection across his entire back requiring shaving, medication, and additional follow-up visits and expenses. The vet diagnosed him with an infection consistent with a staph infection that was likely caused by moisture being trapped against the skin, likely from not being dried properly at our Friday grooming visit. After shaving nearly his entire back, seeing the extent of the infection was shocking! I reached out to the groomer to make them aware of the situation and to discuss getting help with the vet expenses and refunding the grooming fee. Unfortunately, Stacy, was extremely unprofessional and rude during the conversation, she refused to offer any financial assistance towards the vet expenses that I have now incurred, while also repeatedly stating that NO SKIN CONDITION WAS SEEN DURING THE GROOMING VISIT, which only further validates that the infection wasn't there prior, she ultimately hung up on me. Stacy tried to say it would take weeks for an infection like this to appear, however that is false. Dogs can get extensive involvement within 2-5 days. The lesions are very inflamed and superficial, rather than old and scarred. The widespread redness with the small, raised bumps and irritated skin can absolutely develop over just a few days if moisture is trapped under a dense coat. Furthermore, if this infection had been present on Friday prior to the grooming visit, it definitely would have been seen. In addition to this review, I will be filing a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau along with filing a claim in small court for a full reimbursement. Pet owners deserve to know my experience and to use caution before trusting their animals to be groomed here. read more

The absolute most disgusting unprofessional lack of maturity by the owners is appalling. my dog was the first one to arrive and we walked in with the owner as she opened the doors, so i figured she would be the first one done. well i was wrong!!! they kept my dog locked in a cage for 3 hours as they worked on other dogs that came in after her. only until we called 3 hours later did they start working on her!!!! i cant believe the disgusting people at this place, and when i got there she had the nerve to start yelling at me!!!!! and after i tell her i want my dog so can leave, I CAN HEAR MY DOG YELPING AS SHE GRABS HER!!!!!!!!!!!! I can't say enough wonderful things about Paws Place Grooming! I took my husky there for over nine years, and Stacey has always been absolutely amazing. She truly cares about every animal that comes through her doors. My husky always came home looking beautiful, happy, and well cared for. What really makes Stacey special is not just her incredible grooming skills, but the way she gives back to the community. The best grooming experience! Grooming a large Labradoodle is no easy task, but Paws Place Grooming knocked it out of the park! I brought our big boy for a full haircut and bath, and the results are perfect. The staff is so courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about specific doodle coat needs. My dog looks great, smells amazing, and felt completely comfortable there. I highly recommend. They also have DIY so in between when he gets dirty I can use the tubs without breaking my back. read more
